I stopped in while visiting Palm Springs before heading to brunch. It was busy and appeared to be a popular coffee shop in the area. There was a long line when we arrived but it moved fast. I ordered a coffee chocolate caramel fusion drink and a blueberry muffin and both were really good! Service was fast but not particularly friendly, but also not unfriendly. I never rarely complain but this AM I was very disappointed in the way a server treated me ( Ashley ) I frequently visit this coffee shop and this AM I was waiting for a breakfast sandwich and I noticed 3 people behind me got theirs before mine. The Koffi chain is excellent. This location seems like it's mostly for the early business crowd. The parking lot isn't very large but there's always spots and the staff is incredibly friendly and the service is very quick. I love their menu here. The cold brew coffee fusions are my favorite, particularly the chocolate-carmel one. This was our daily go to while staying at the Renaissance Palm Springs. It was about a 5 minute walk from our hotel, I LOVED the lavender cinnamon berry tea! It was so good and refreshing. The chai tea latte wasn't as impressive and was lacking in chai flavor. I also had the turkey sausage breakfast sandwich which was simple yet effective. Look for the yellow umbrellas, the plethora of humans conversing outside and the overall beauty that is Koffi Central. I am so fortunate to have this location a skip away from my grandfather's condo and come every morning to get my caffeine - usually the cinnamon vanilla cold brew - so so yummy. Sometimes, I'll even make an afternoon visit to grab a lunch sandwich or iced tea. This location offers a lovely outdoor space and has plenty of inside tables for those who need a remote area to work with power outlets. The inside is usually loud with the blenders going off and internal chatter so I highly recommend headphones if you plan to work here. The staff is beyond friendly and moves the line forward quickly often making eye contact with the line and asking what they can get started prior to making it up to the cashier. I don't know what they gave me, but it wasn't a matcha latte. It tasted like bubble gum, or Boba tea, as my fiance thought. Whatever it was, it was inedible. It didn't even look the right color. Does oat milk go bad? I don't think that's it. I've had many matcha lattes in my time, some better than others, but I'm not sure I've ever had one that I had to throw out and go somewhere else to get another one. Koffi Central is a franchise I noticed all around Palm Springs; most importantly this location which was walking distance to the Renaissance. The lack of coffee in the hotel brought me here as I was in need of an iced coffee. I ordered an Iced Honey Vanilla Coffee which was delicious. The coffee shop has pre-packaged meals such as yogurts and parfaits which I also tried. All in all, it's a nice quick pit stop for coffee. read more

Good coffee, nice atmosphere The Grilled Breakfast Sandwich with Turkey Sausage, Pepper Jack was super tasty; the sausage was juicy and delicious. The eggs and English muffin were cool perfectly and the pepper jack cheese really pulled it all together. I really enjoyed the Cold Brew Fusion (Belgium Chocolate-Caramel)! Wish I ordered the large; just couldn't get enough of this delicious drink. It was not too sweet and full of chocolatey, caramel flavor. The service was fast (considering this place is usually packed). Ordering Online helped. The location is perfectly for me, just walking blocks away. Walking to this coffee shop spelled Koffi, one is immediately sees bright cheery yellow umbrellas outside with many tables to sit and enjoy your coffee and food while enjoying the Palm Springs sun. Walking inside to order, they have a well thought out and attractive interior. Cases full of pastries and breakfast sandwiches. I ordered a ham, egg and cheese sandwich a bear claw and a caramel vanilla cafe latte. Seating outside and enjoying the views of palm trees, cacti, and mountains, I sip and relax. The sandwich is stacked with ham and that makes it a cut above, the bear claw is large with lots of almonds and icing and pairs well with coffee. The cafe lattes are made with love and you can tell because it is made just right and tastes amazing. The espresso I chose was light but they also have dark. It is so delicious and perfect for waking up. It smells good and tastes good. I really enjoyed my morning here and will be back again. read more

Every time I visit Palm Springs, I swing by Koffi for their decaf flavored cold brew. I like the Central location more than the South; it's calmer and more peaceful to me. I like reading or writing in the courtyard. It can get busy, like any other Koffi. But it's the best coffee in Palm Springs in my opinion, so worth the crowd. Inside was small and crowded. As soon as you walk in, we got greeted by warm and stuffy air. Upside? Their muffins are to-die for! I had their banana nut muffin, super yummy! Koffi is the best option for coffee in Palm Springs (and in nearby Rancho Mirage). The "central" location (at Kaptur Plaza) is located (as most Koffi stores are) in a building with rich architectural history, interesting design, and decked out with modern amenities. The drinks are good, usually consistent, and the staff is hard-working and polite. The products are branded well (both take-home bags of beans/ground coffee and the to-go coffee containers) and the facility is usually very clean. Where Koffi fails is in the technology department. As a result of the pandemic, most foodservice organizations adopted proven, modern, technology-enabled food ordering services that allow consumers to order food from their mobile devices. Koffi made an attempt, but the mobile ordering system they implemented is klunky, disorganized, and puts the onus on the customer to figure it out. One easy-to-fix problem is that the online ordering system doesn't include all of the bakery choices available. For instance, I order the same thing every morning (as many people do). My usual is a coffee and a blackberry bran muffin. Unfortunately, the mobile ordering system Koffi publishes does not include a way to order the blackberry bran muffin (it includes several other choices). As a result, in order to complete my order online, I have to select another muffin choice (e.g., blueberry) and then type a message for the baristas (that most of their baristas seldom read) that asks them to replace the blueberry muffin I ordered on the mobile website with the blackberry bran muffin I actually desire. When I arrive at the store to pick up my order, I usually have to ask them to replace the blueberry muffin with the blackberry one. The baristas apologize for not reading the note about the blackberry muffin and then say that they wish the company would add blackberry bran to the online ordering system to help them avoid this challenge. (I do, too!) I stopped today to ask a gentleman who appeared to be the manager (perhaps an owner) if they could address the missing menu item from the mobile ordering process. I pointed out that having to type a message (that is usually ignored) each day makes my customer experience less favorable. He suggested that I could --get this-- telephone in my order each morning to avoid that. His solution was not a solution (phone in my order) and would simply make matters worse behind the counter for the already busy (and sometimes overburdened) shop staff. I pointed out that not having all the menu items available on the ordering system could be easily remedied by adding the item to the existing system. He told me making that change wasn't that easy for them. I told him that I work in the technology sector and that I was certain that there is a solution to this challenge and that it is not that big of a deal to make it work right. The online ordering experience is obviously not something the management or owners of Koffi use daily in the same way that their actual customers do. If they used it (and cared about our experience) they would recognize -- for instance -- that the online ordering system also throws errors all the time (it reloads when not instructed by the user to do so, it stalls, it provides incorrect error information, it struggles to detect location (sometimes switching up the order of the store that display on the graphic user interface), and it forces the user to use *workarounds* instead of the Koffi team asking their IT provider to make the online ordering process smoother. It appears that Koffi may leverage Square for Restaurants, a troubled, unintuitive, and often complained about digital payment platform (a quick Google search finds a wide variety of complaints) that has failed to win in the marketplace because it lacks the polish and easy-to-use functionality that other food ordering platforms have developed. The way Koffi currently handles online transactions misses opportunities to improve both the customer experience and reduce the amount of friction, confusion, waiting, and waste that the current system promotes. Koffi does do one thing in the technology arena right (as far as its customers are concerned). Each location has free, strong wi-fi and several electrical outlets for people hoping to work or surf the net while in the store. I really like Koffi (and think it could easily succeed as a nationwide chain; the products and vibe are that good), but I wish they would stop for a moment and work to understand the digital experience they are/aren't providing to their customers. If they did, I would wager that they would change these things and more. read more

I had my bachelorette party in Palm Springs because I have family history there and I love the area. I have heard of Koffi, so I took my 10 best friends in for a treat when it wasn't busy. As soon as the barista saw us walk in, she said loudly to her coworker "better start steaming oat milk." For the record, most of us were just looking for iced coffee since it was 100 out already. To make matters worse, my friend Chrissy told the same barista her drink order and spelled out her name: C-H-R-I-S-S-Y. The barista purposely wrote "Prisey" on the cup (see photo). I'm not sure if it was because we were a multiethnic bunch, or because we were all women, but whatever the reason, treating us that way is not ok. Koffi me. All day! I've been to the Koffi South location and so far this is my favorite Koffi spot. It's bright spacious and they actually sell bags of whole roasted Koffi beans. My go to, as always, is a cold brew and Koffi's is delicious and very strong. They also make a ton of other caffeinated and un-caffeinated drinks. They offer a lot food options; breakfast sandwiches, parfaits, salads, and lots of sweet pastries. I went with the egg and cheese sandwich this time around. Cheesy, eggs and filling. Solid option for breakfast. There's a great indoor space for working and sitting with friends and a large uncovered outdoor patio space, but I'm sure in the middle of summer it's not the best spot.
