Pretty Good! love it! Had lunch with my parents and it was well worth it. To me it's rare to find a really good seafood restaurant that you can trust in the area. So I was excited that after tasting their combination poke bowl, galbi bento and miso soup, I was impressed. The raw fish was fresh and the galbi was on point. I love their combination poke bowls! Great portion & taste delicious, it's a bit pricey but so worth it! I just wish they had option of sliced jalapeños free of charge but instead it's up charge & diced chunks of jalapeños so I just add them in at home. Highly recommend though! Came here over the weekend to have lunch, remembered driving by it earlier last week. Our normal place we get sushi at was closed so we decided to give this place a try. I ordered a Kogi Bowl, husband a California Roll, Rock & Roll sushi roll and a veggie fried rice bowl (on the kids menu) for our 1 year old since they don't offer anything else that's toddler friendly. The food was ok. Sushi was good. And the food was actually cooked pretty fast. Service by the gentleman attending the dinning room was great, he was super nice and helpful. Cashier lady was on the phone on her AirPods and could barely hear what I was saying when ordering, but she was nice. Just kinda stumped on why no one eats at the place and everyone gets everything to-go. So much space and we were literally the only ones eating in the dinning room. Besides the fact that they may need to add at-least some nuggets and fries for kids, everything else was ok. Will we come again? Perhaps if we are on that side of town again. read more

Going in it was clean and the service was excellent. The staff was friendly and always willing to help. I ordered the spicy pork bento box and my husband ordered the spicy chicken bowl. Both were displayed beautifully and tasted amazing. Except for the sushi rolls that came with my bento box, it wasn't the best but everything else was delicious. I always stop here when I am in Killeen. It's right up the road from the airport where I have to work sometimes. The menu includes a large variety of items but I go for the Yaki Mandu as it's my favorite thing I ate when I was in Korea. They make it just right here and I have to get some every time. They are filling enough with a drink to be my lunch. I have ordered a bulgogi bowl on other visits and it was delicious but along with the yaki mandu it was so much I had to take it home. They have standard drinks (soda, iced teas) as well as some other options by the bottle at the register. There is plenty of seating and even at lunch time I've not had a problem finding a seat. Server was super friendly and attentive when the food came out. We ordered way too much sushi, the spicy chicken ramen and a container of the cucumber kimchi. The food was good. Chicken ramen had some kick to it. However, I'm not 100% in love with the cucumber kimchi. I wish it had more flavor. Next time we will be trying the bowls because they looked amazing. I stopped here after a long shift at work optimistic to try a new place. The place was busy and smelled wonderful. I asked the girl for her sushi recommendations. I got the wonder girls and FT roll and asked for no avocado or cucumber and it was on the ticket. Unfortunately my rolls did have both of these on them ( I knew I should have checked before I left but I thought to myself oh it's on the ticket they wouldn't mess it up) they did so I paid 27.00 for sushi I couldn't enjoy :(. I also ordered a Kogi bowl with no veggies it smelled great but the flavor wasn't quite there. Finally the chicken fried rice was correct without veggies but lacked in flavor as well. Super disappointed. The wait was about 20 minutes which is really the only reason I'm giving them two stars. My Mom is Korean so I am a KOREAN FOOD CRITIC. Let me just say this, everyone is from different parts of Korea so cooking is different in different regions but should still appeal to taste buds. I got "spicy ramen" that was tangy and not a good tangy that had chicken cubes that look like turkey cubes in the meat and cheese snack packs LOL. Maybe I'm just spoiled from living in Austin and all the good food options, idk but I know good food from bad food. Oh and don't get the "yaki" it is definitely not yaki. They were definitely pot stickers/dumplings LOL. Totally appalled. I am very picky as I was raised around good traditional Korean food so I wouldn't dare try the bulgogi but I can only imagine what your going to get. When we walked in we didn't know how ordering or seating was supposed to be and we weren't greeted so we could ask. We were kinda just looking lost. I verbally said ok how do we do this and you would think that would be a hint to let the young man behind the counter know we were new here. Nope! Next set of people walked in and they were immediately greeted. They must have been there before because they knew to go to the counter like some cheap fast food restaurant. I have been here a number of times and never was disappointed. I wanted to write a review today now that they have averaged out at a 5-star to me. Kogi Bowl is situated conveniently across the street from the hospital and CTC. There is plenty of parking although it is tough driving out to the street on the right hand entrance due to the incline. The restaurant is well lit and extremely clean. Their epoxy tables are shiny and prepared with seasonings. The order is taken at the counter, and you are given a number for your table. You help yourself to the fountain with large cups, and the plastic ware and napkins and of course the wooden chopsticks are there as well. The brightly lit menu consists of the standard Korean and Japanese fare. Everything is made to order and fresh as can be. Their signature Kogi Bowl has different veggie, meat and starches of your choice. The prices are good and you get plenty of food even though you don't get a full spread of pun-chun. It comes with not so spicy cucumber kimchi. You get unlimited amount. Today, I got the bibimbap. It comes in a huge hot pot that continues to cook the dish as it is served to you (be careful). I didn't want the meat or egg so I gave it to Mother who enjoyed it very much. I really liked the crunchy texture of the rice on the edges of the pot. Their miso was salty for me, so I added water. It still had very good flavor though. Dad ordered the Jasmine tea in a pot and it tasted very good. It comes in a beautiful China set. The server came often asking if we needed refills or any plates needed to be taken away. He did a very good job. Overall I am very pleased and I will visit again. After reading reviews I decided to try this place out. Mixed reviews made me curious. This sushi bar is the fast food version of sushi. The rice texture is too sticky. I'm comparing it to HEB on stan schlueter sushi. Don't get snooty, the sushi makers there are amazing. Back to Kogi Bowl...the order taker was friendly. There was a person going around sweeping, I noticed she didn't wash her hands before handing us a to-go box. Everyone knows broom and dust handles hit the floor. I would've given this place three stars because the sweeper was too comfortable touching stuff in between sweeping. The tuna texture in the tuna roll, was absolutely fantastic. The avocado roll had ZERO browning that alone earned an extra star. Giving this place four stars is generous but the service is fast, friendly, and the lighting is good. I can not stand dim lighted sushi bars. Cool place to hang out. If you like sushi but have a ramen noodle kind of budget this is a good place to eat. I had to choose at least 1 star so I did. This place used to be good but it has changed for the worse. I ordered a Kogi Bowl and a Kogi Avocado. The Kogi Bowl has enough rice to feed two adults, extra cabbage and a handful of noodles to accompany the meat. The meat was overly marinated but it didn't mask the spoiled meat aftertaste. My thoughts are they didn't want to throw it out and thought by over marinating the meat it would pass. However that was awful and I didn't want to get sick. The Kogi Avocado was a bust, I'm sure the Owners are trying to be creative (yay effort) however unevenly deep frying and breading am Avocado that has little stuffing and no taste was an epic fail. There was no taste just a bunch of mush in your mouth. Normally I'd take leftovers to go and give them to a homeless person but the food was so bad I could t being myself to share it with anyone. What a waste of $30. A filet o fish sandwich at McDonalds would have been a better choice. read more
