This was one of those unexpected pleasant surprises I got to experience while in Killeen on business. There's an ample amount of choices for Korean food in Killeen, and each one has something that makes them unique. Seoul To Go is a Mom and Son operation and they have been perfect all around on both my visits as I was thoroughly impressed with the quality and taste of their dishes. Plus they had my favorite fish cake side dish - - all of which is homemade from scratch. Every time I'm in the Killeen area I kinda crave Asian cuisine. Korean and Thai usually come to mind as they have an excellent variety to choose from, Seoul To Go kept popping up on the highly recommended list. I found them nestled in a more quiet part of town close to a middle school, in a small strip mall next to a nail salon and gas station food-mart. I walk in and it's a small yet suitable place with ample seating, nothing fancy, just clean tables and chairs and a TV with an open kitchen. It was quiet - a guy was sitting up front and politely greeted me. I asked him - "So you're the secret to success for Seoul To Go?" - - the guy chuckles and says he's just up front helping run the show, the secret's in the back - - "she's the Master of Seoul". So many nice choices, I just missed lunch but we went for the Spicy Chicken and Bulgogi dishes which come with rice and an assortment of side dishes. I was really impressed with the flavor of the food and the quality - everything tasted great. On my 2nd visit back I spoke to the son who was really friendly and talkative. He recommended the Trio dish - which had lunch portions of pork and chicken and bulgogi, kind of like a sampler platter that feeds at least 2-3 people. It was really good and full of flavor. I had plenty to take home and it kept up well in the fridge. I love the side dishes here - specifically the fish cake here is thicker than the other Korean places. The potato side is very flavorful and the cucumber has just the right spice as I always go back and ask for seconds. I want to make it back here more often, because I've sampled several Korean places in Harker Heights and Killeen and Seoul To Go has been the best to date thanks to the quality dishes and friendly customer service. read more

First time coming here and let me just say the food is not bad but it is not the best. We ordered the bulgogi beef, sweet and sour chicken and 2 sushi rolls. Both of the entrees were good. However the beef was a bit on the tough side. The chicken was pretty good. The kimchi that comes with your order is probably the best part of the meal. I would definitely ask for more if we come back. Now onto the sushi part, it's not the best quality sushi. I was hoping for something better since each roll was about $9. One of the sushi I ordered was the spider roll, which should've came with soft shell crab. But it was more like flour fried together by itself. The avocado that came with it, tasted like it was about to go bad. And from where they keep the ingredients of the sushi didn't really look that clean. read more

Recently moved from Austin to Killeen and was looking for some Korean restaurants. Prices are on par with others but I feel what sets this place apart from Kogi or Ohgane is there side dishes. Really good flavoring but I really wish that their spicy dishes had more kick and wish they gave more rice !! read more

Ever since my last review, I found myself frequenting this restaurant so many times for my Korean food fix whenever I'm in town. I know everyone has their own opinion of what's better elsewhere, but this here is my personal favorite. The food is consistently good and what makes it even better is the hospitality. Mom, pop, and sons treat you like family and give such a warm welcome whenever you come by for a visit. Tonight, I've retried their California rolls and also sampled the Cali Crunch Rolls - very delicious. My other favorite is the beef fried rice, which has great flavor and I could just eat that by itself for a meal. I'll have to break my habit of always getting the usual whenever I come here and try the other entrees that they have to offer. I'm sure they're all equally good as well. I didn't know it was in the same location right next to a gas station. First visit and it took awhile to get here, after reading the Yelp reviews. I decided to try it when I'm kinda close to the location. Anyways, I was the only customer during lunch time, but unfortunately it was a Saturday and no lunch special during weekends, which I already knew, thanks to my fellow yelpers information. The inside of the restaurant is not very appealing to the eye, but I would say the food was good. I ordered seafood soft tofu soup, and bibimbob (I don't think I spelled that right, sorry)... It awhile waiting for my food to go, and the mother who was the cook called me to the counter to let me know that she ran out of the soft tofu. I really wanted some soup, so I said that it was okay for her to use the regular tofu. After waiting for like 25 minutes, my order was finally ready.... My soup was good, but would have been much better with the soft tofu. The bibimbob was also good, the vegetables were fresh and crunchy.... I really like.... I would go back if I was close to the area. It's too far of a drive for me, and it's really located where it's not easy to locate, unless you live in that area. Very tiny place has about 4-5 tables, younger guy greeted me and took my drink order. I asked him if he suggests anything and he said the Galbi (Kalbi) was popular, I asked him how the spicy pork was and he said it was very good. I ordered the Spicy Pork and it game by default with the side dishes, Potatoes, Cucumber Kimchi and Fish Cakes. The sides were pretty good the Cucumber Kimchi was probably the best of the 3. When I got the main dish it looked amazing and taste to match, had a very faint amount of head and was a little sweet but had great flavor. The price was not bad and they checked on me to make sure I was good, very hospitable. When checking out I asked if they made the Kimchi on their own she stated yes and I complimented her on the quality. When leaving I forgot my drink and the young gentleman that greeted me ran it out to my car before I could leave. Def recommend this place solely on the fact the people here are extremely courteous and even more so the food was absolutely fantastic! We might try this place again. Maybe. There are better Korean food establishments in the area. The food was good but not great. We had beef bulgogi with the banchan of course and yaki mandu. The yaki was hot and crispy but tasted like the frozen store bought pot stickers. We got there at 1105, they open at 1100. He unlocked the door for us and told us there might be a 20 minute wait because they were running behind, no problem for us at all. They had no tea, so we got the $2.25 bottle waters that weren't cold. Yaki mandu came out with no plates, no napkins. The bulgogi came out then the banchan. Something just wasn't on point today and that is disappointing. I'll wrap this up.... The bulgogi wasn't great, it was plain. If you don't know what great authentic bulgogi is then this is the place for you. There are a lot of great reviews because the majority of them don't know what great Korean food is. read more

This is probably my favorite Korean restaurant. I'm a fairly picky eater, so I only get the Bim Bob. It always fills me up and leaves me full for a while. Having been stationed in Korea for three years I was expecting a lot out of this place. I went here based off the other yelp reviews and it didn't disappoint. Simply, it's Korean food cooked by a Korean who knows how to cook. The restaurant looks a little sketchy but I don't mind. We got the yaki mandu, bulgogi and crunchy Cali rolls(California rolls deep fried). All the food was on point and tasted traditional. I did think it was a little weird that they served sushi at a Korean place but the menu was predominantly Korean. The bulgogi beef is tough. Also at $12.99 you would expect something that will fill the hungriest trucker for this quality of food. I am not impressed at all. This is a little nice owned family business with a mother and son! I just go here to get sushi. They make it right in front of you, so all the ingredients are fresh. I'm basic and stick to the California and California crunch roll, which are both delicious! The mom is very welcoming, when you walk in the store. Healthy, delicious, and very customer oriented. My girlfriend and I were more than pleased with our experience. We arrived on a weekday during lunch and business seemed fairly slow, probably due to location. I ordered the Bibim bob and it was great; the spot on combination of veggies, rice, and beef, topped with a fried egg and the customer preferred amount of hot sauce. My girlfriend ordered the Kal Bi of which she finished before me which tells me she loved it(that never happens). She was confused when then brought her kitchen sheers to cut her meat but quickly disregarded that fact after having one bite. We also ordered an Alaska Roll which was on par for Killeen area sushi. Oh and don't forget the salad and little starter appetizers that very free of charge and delicious I might add. The only thing I can gig them on is the lack of ice for my iced tea. The customer service was great, they made us feel very comfortable and their lunch prices were very fair. I would recommend this place to anybody who loves heathy, authentic Asian food. OK. The other reviews not withstanding (I don't know what you are accustomed to in terms of Japanese or Korean food), the Korean food is just OK but this is NOT a Sushi restaurant. It's a Korean restaurant that can make rolls with fish, crab and a very few other things inside. They have a very limited selection and the age of the fish is suspect. They don't have Japanese soups, their salad is iceberg lettuce with a sort of ginger dressing. The location IS very weird and makes it less than ideal for lunch or dinner. The sushi chef is awesome, every time I order sushi rolls I watch him make them and he walks me through the process and tells me how to make my own. The last time I went his mom actually gave me a recipe to make my own spicy mayo. These people are friendly and helpful. There place is a very small hole in the wall but huge on taste. Pricing is very reasonable and everything I have ordered in my 3-4 trips has been authentic and wonderful. Update and spoiler, owners sold and moved. The new folks are nice but our sushi rolls were, well... Not good at all. Although kind of pricey, the food is worth eating. The sushi is normally good. My favorite is the Bul Go Gi and Avacado or Cucumber Roll. This is by far, one of the best Korean restaurants in Killeen. Don't let its location next to a gas station fool you, the food is delicious! It is family owned and operated so the service is wonderful! There are a couple tables if you want to dine inside. For the appetizer, they serve you a freshly cut crisp salad with dressing. The crispy egg rolls were filled with hot pork and vegetable filling. It was delicious. My parents had the Kal Bi which is beef short ribs, thin sliced, marinated, and cooked on the grill. They were very sweet, tender, and quite flavorful. I ordered the best Bibim Bob I have ever had at any other Korean restaurant! The ingredients were fresh and it was absolutely tasty. It is mixed vegetables, beef, and egg, served on a bed of rice. The sides were very tasty to. They were cucumber, potatoes, and fish cakes which all were very flavorful and fresh! The owners were very friendly and bought out an additional side of sliced watermelon for dessert.
