With the holidays quickly approaching, there's plenty sparkly holiday gear, as well as "Ugly" Christmas sweaters. There's a nice variety of holiday decor for your home. Depending when I go, the line to checkout can be pretty long, but they have several cashiers working, so it's a pretty quick process.

All staff were wearing their masks properly with sanitizers and masks available at the already opened door. Pants range to the 40-60 dollar range and you have your typical prices for your hoodies, shirts, socks, etc. I signed up for the rewards program only because I was halfway to a $100 gift card. The items are the same quality as the regular store, but at a much lower cost. A brand new J. Crew Factory store just opened last week in West Hartford's Corbin's Corner. The store has a great layout, and plenty of great summer pieces, for men, women and children. Most of the store is currently on sale for 40 - 50% off. Since this store is brand new, the exterior is still under construction, but It's what's on the inside that matters. The sales associates are friendly and answered all my questions. I've already been here twice since they opened last week. I'm glad to have a factory store nearby now. It's a good idea to come in frequently as new stock comes in often.

I was elated to find several matching shirts for them to wear over the summer, which I look forward to seeing them in together. Prices were great and having the teacher discount on top of it was excellent. When we went up to the register, the young lady behind the counter (Lauren A) was patient as we troubleshooted which email my J.Crew account was linked to. We ended up sharing some small talk about my husband and I being educators and she was very sweet in engaging about our jobs, summer break, and which grade levels we worked with. She was so positive and genuinely happy/helpful. This wasn't exclusive just to us either. We overheard similar interactions with her and other customers in line before we approached. She was just a kind person, who seemed dedicated to her job. We will definitely return!

I love their clearance racks which can be found at the end of the aisles. A great place to bargain shop. I've always loved TJ Maxx and Marshall's is essentially its sibling. The following types of products can be found at Marshall's; footwear, clothing, bath, bedding, home decor, furniture, beauty products, jewelry, housewares, toys, giftware, and per supplies. I loved their candles and random skincare, and soaps. The clothes were pretty decent if you dig around the racks. The employees were friendly. However, when I went to the register to make my purchase today a grouchy old lady with a huge stick up her a** had the nerve to tell my twin 9 year old sons to not touch the candy bags on display if they weren't going to buy them. I quickly wondered why she would ASSUME we weren't going to buy them and I asked her if she was in a bad mood. I followed up by saying that I've never heard that people can't look at candy bags or show their parents for possible purchase. She said that many customers won't buy an item if it has been touched. WOW! Is all I can say. The nerve. Everything is touched in their store! Candles are smelled, pillows are squeezed and the list goes on. This lady had some nerve and even the manager behind her told me it was fine if my kids picked up and looked at the candy bags. I mean what's the point of having tiny gum-ball machines right next to the register if NOT TO ENTICE children?!!!!! Anyhow, people are just rude and all I can say is that if you're damn near 80 years old and working at Marshall's just chill the F*ck out. You don't need to act like you own the store and try to make up these crazy rules to try and assert your non-existent power. Maybe CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NOT THE JOB FOR YOU. If you do have grandkids I pray for them because you do not know how to talk to or treat children.

The two would shoot each other looks and practically giggle. What are they, 12 year olds? Definitely too old looking to be high school girls and should act more appropriately. They also gave the impression they were better than those shopping there. Really, after all they are just sales clerks. Carter's used to stand for more than just clothing, it used to also stand for the personal attention as well. Employees like that usually find themselves terminated, but at the very least should not work together if that's what they present for customer service when they do.
