I could have saved a few miles on my car by going to Target, but their men's department really sucks. Time to stock up on underwear and shirts...nice that they carry Jockey but the inventory is so limited and the merchandise so disorganized it makes it difficult to find what you need. I did find a couple pairs of shoes that would be acceptable to a jobsite, but too bad for me they didn't have my size. Good thinking...put up a display model and only carry three shoes in that style...lame. Checkout, as usual, was ridiculous. I was the only person in line, they have two checkers, both were upselling their Kohl's card. Nothing like a ten minute wait to raise my ire (and blood pressure) to purchase a 6-pack of underwear. I get the nominal greeting, swipe my card and the checker says to her coworker, "I need to get on another aisle, this one doesn't have a gun." She also seemed surpirsed that I swiped my card and the machine spit out my receipt. Did she upsell me on the card? Course not (I'd refuse on general principle anyway). Update: still sucks, be nice if you could self check-out....would certainly speed up the process and eliminate the need for checkers; automation in this case is a good thing. read more

Came here to read about Amazon drop off reviews and apparently I'm not the only one LOL 1st return: Kohl's employee scans all items and asked me about the gun holsters I was returning. Apparently Amazon did not get one of them back. 2nd return: Today. I could already tell the lady did not like her job before I even reached the counter. This location is nice because it closes so late. I rather come to this establishment than the Walmart. They are usually stocked. The only concern is safety. The parking lot is a bit shady after dark. I have encountered weird characters more than one occasion. read more

I placed an online order from Kohls for 2 items for $58 and earned $10 Kohls cash. When I returned an item they take away the whole $10 Kohl's cash I earned. Then I decided to return the other item they again take back another $10 Kohl's cash off of my second return. Meaning Kohls is making money off of me. When I pointed out to the manager, he called Kohls online customer service. They tried every way to justify taking my money. The manager did not agree with their online cs. But since he can not override their system, he had to give my money back in form of Kohls cash. So now they took my money and turn it to their money. This practice did not happen once. It happen every time I return something to Kohls. Their cs always say that this never happen before. To prove them wrong, I returned 3 orders. And instead of taking back the right amount of Kohls cash that they gave me, they double or triple it. Kohls is making money off of me. Kohl's cash isn't a reward at all, it's how they manipulate you into paying way too much and cheat you out of your money. A lot of people report this on consumer report. I go to the kohls in Lakewood because of the Amazon return. The last two times I went here I decided to look for specific items there. As I was looking in the toy area I noticed several employees there and it was obvious that they were watching me. I confronted them and then I notified the manager. This kohls seem to be racist because after going in there again to do a return the same thing happen again. I confronted an employee about him watching me a 60 year old black woman with no purse (I only had my phone and keys) I asked him why he was only watching me while there were other race people there. He then ran off. Kohls your staff need some serious training. They are the worst. Every black person doesn't still even if you have had some come in and we're caught that doesn't mean you only watch African Americans. I will continue to come to this sad lowlife kohls because it is convenient for me to do returns but I will start filming this shit and we will see what happens then. read more

I placed an online order and didn't notice that the pick up location was at a different location. I asked if it were possible to just buy the item here instead of having to make a 20 mile drive. They told me that wasn't possible. Why?! Why couldn't they cancel the order for me so that I can just go to the isle and buy it at the store? For this company not to have figured out a way or invest in technology like a computer to do this for a good customer is ridiculously frustrating. This review is in reference to the Amazon Returns service. I love it that it's convenient for Amazon customers and love that kohl's is down the street from my job. However, the person who worked the Amazon Returns today was not nice! Her vibe was as if she had an attitude and did not like her job. Like I get people have rough days or they may not like their job, but a job is a job. There was a customer before me who was having phone issues and after she gave up and decided to step outside to get better connection on her phone, I was next in line. I'm considerate of other people and I waited in the line until worker said "next" or something. But she didn't say anything. Just stared at me! So I walked up to her and told her I'm returning these items. I was trying to open up the code on my phone that they need to complete the return but the building caused a connection issue. I apologized to her and asked if they had WiFi. Her response, "yeah." And that was it. Not helpful or anything. So I was being polite because I turned and saw a person was waiting in line and told the worker "is it ok if I place the items here and I'll step to the side to get the code up?" And her response, "sure." Just bland. So I was able to connect and pull up the codes & proceeded back to the table. And I smiled and tried to see if I could get a better reaction. But nope! She just scanned the code and as she was waiting for the receipt to print, she just stared out into the open, no conversation or interaction. Once it was done printing and she highlighted the transaction number, gave them to me and just said "highlighted is the return status and a 25% for kohl's." All I'm saying is if you're working in customer service, at least be a little more approachable or just nice! I get if I was being a difficult customer or being rude to her. All I wanted to do was return 2 items! If you don't like working in customer service or deal with customers, find another job. You're a representation of Amazon. With how amazon works so hard to make things convenient for customers and all, at least get better people to work the return locations. read more

My time at Kohl's started out a very nice especially on December 22nd. I purchased 9 items but when I got home there's only 8 items. I returned back to the same place as purchased on December 26 to notify the manager that my 9th item was missing from my bag. Nothing was resolved and I was very disappointed because I shopped at this Kohl's all the time. Manager stated his hands was tired and was told a refund for the 9th item will and can not be given. A Christmas gift not given. My lesson I learned is never trust the cashier and the assistant by placing all items in bags. I will always double check all bags prior to leaving the store. read more

I had an online pick up to this location. I picked it up but then wanted to exchange it. Two cashier workers (girls) gave me an extremely hard time to exchange my shoes. After the third attempt I was ready to give up. Horrible customer service. This was on a Sunday night at 6 pm . After going to the Cerritos location with no help at all Maddie and Tracee in the jewelry department at the Lakewood location were PHENOMENAL. They went above expected customer service. Although they didn't have the exact chain I wanted to exchange they walked me through all my options on how I could proceed. Maddie and Tracee were so kind, very informative and made sure to assist me all they could instead of just telling me to call online like the Cerritos location did. Kohl's online service is the worst thing I've ever experienced. The system doesn't work with Apple Pay and when you attempt to manually input a separate shipping address the site auto corrects to the billing address, over and over. I spent an hour on Thanksgiving doing just this; that's how badly I wanted an ugly Christmas sweater! And just when I thought I had it right, it shipped to my billing address. If you think they'll refund things shipped to the wrong address or change the address, you've got another thing coming. I called them the exact moment I got the "your item has been shipped" email! They simply pocket the money and tell you they'll "try" to intercept the package. Of course the word "try" concerned me... so I asked if they could guarantee interception, to which they said yes. Long story short, someone else just got a free star wars Christmas sweater and I'm never shopping at Kohl's again. I don't like being taken advantage of and left feeling powerless. read more

I was in need of a couple things to complete my ensemble for a Yelp event and decided to start my quest at Kohl's. It turns out I didn't need to go anywhere else, because I eventually found everything I needed right here. Honestly it had been quite a while since I stepped into a Kohl's and I'd forgotten what they were like. For some reason I was envisioning one of those "discount" clothing stores. You know the one, tons of clothes on rows and rows and rows of racks... and you have to look through every one to hopefully find what you are looking for. Some people love spending hours and hours clothes shopping, but that's not for me. Nope, I like to get in, get what I need and get out... bing, bang, boom, done! I walk through the door and was pleasantly surprised. It was very clean, nicely laid out and had a good variety of stuff to choose from like a real department store should. Yes it's true.... there seems to be very few staff around when you need help with anything. But to be fair, that's the way most department stores are now, unless you go somewhere like Nordstrom, Bloomingdales or Needless Markup (Neiman Marcus). However, I was able to "grab" an associate to help me as she walked by. Even though men's fashion wasn't her department, Allison was very nice, extremely helpful and willing to assist me as long as necessary, 5 stars for Allison! In fact after I found everything I needed, as I was checking out, I asked to speak with the manager so I could express how pleased I was with the assistance Allison provided. OVERALL: A nice clean store with "sale prices" on almost everything and helpful staff when you can find one. read more

This place isn't for the faint of heart! We came in on a Saturday afternoon and there wasn't an employee in site. Lots of shoppers and children though. Hangers and clothes scattered all over the floors, crazy crowded dressing rooms, lines almost out the door to check out. Oh, excuse me.. line. There was only one register open, and it was on the other end of the store in another department. I was on the hunt though, so we stuck it out. I had a friend stand in line right when we first got there and I went and tried stuff on. By the time I got back with what I wanted we were still a few people away from making a clean break. Getting ancy, my friend asked an employee she noticed had been just standing at a register talking on the phone if she could check us out. I guess she didn't realize this girl was an employee until she turned around and saw her name badge.. anyway the girl said no. Not "Oh I'm on my break" or any sort of customer service orriented answer.. just "No". 5 minutes later, we're heading for the door after being checked out and that same girl calls for the next person in line. If I wanted service like that I'd go to Ross and actually pay *less*. No thank you, Kohls, you've wasted enough of my time. We won't be back. read more

The fitting room at women's department stinks makes we want to vomit and the line at their registers are so long because their cashiers are so slow. and I asked a guy named Jason who's voice is so loud while talking like the whole store could hear him idk if he's a supervisor or manager about the prices of the coffee makers because the tagged price and the one at he monitor is different but he asked other sales associates to help me out but she's busy.
