I've lost 28 pounds since August and was shopping this weekend for a new set of casual boots, shirts, pants and a light jacket. I found a great pair of boots, a short sleeve shirt and a light jacket made by Levi's. A sales associate also gave me $5 off just for shopping today. My jacket was 50% off too! No chairs or benches in dressing rooms. They make you wait a long time in line to teach you to use their self check out. They will hang clothes in front of you while you wait and then when the line gets super long they say NEXT. Then they tell you, you can use self ck out. We prefer not using self ck out with our coupon. read more

The service was terrible and when I asked to get something off from the shelf they ignored me.

I told my husband we'd probably have a negative experience judging from past shipping trips recently. I returned an Amazon item and they gave me 15% off. When my husband went to pay for an item he needed they said the coupon didn't apply to that. We both said didn't I tell you?!! The Kohls AP isn't working to reset passwords either - just keeps saying to log in. No wonder we only saw only 5 people in the store if they are heading there same issues. They have changed the way they do amazon returns and it is awful. You used to walk all the way to the back of the store where a small team of 2 or 3 worked and all they did all day were amazon returns. They were quick, competent, and nice. Now you are forced to wait in line with all of the purchases and one cashier does the amazon return very poorly and clunkily. It is an inefficient use of time and I am flabbergasted they can do something so simple so badly. Also, they now allow men in the women's dressing room and see no problem with it, so I no longer shop for clothes there. I may start returning amazon items elsewhere. read more

Kohl's is pretty cool, however some of their clothes are way more expensive than they should be. Granted they have designer brands in all their departments, you can find the exact same stuff at TJ Maxx and Nordstrom Rack for a lot less. Not to mention all of their sale items are picked over and discounted only a small percentage. I came here for some active clothes in hopes of finding Adidas or Underarmor for cheaper than Amazon, but had no luck. Although fully priced, they do have a decent selection of clothes if you don't mind paying a little extra. To their credit, they have amazing sales in the juniors section for jeggings and jeans -- I love how their jeans fit the taller women as well. I'm 5'9" and have had poor luck at Target. Staff is okay. For the most part they seem to avoid contact when walking by a customer and avoid conversation. I briefly debated on asking an associate where to find a particular pair of jeans was (saw them in an ad on the wall but couldn't find them) but ended up finding them myself 15 minutes later. I love shopping at Kohl's. Prices are reasonable, their coupon policies the best in the business, and they carry everything you could possibly want. Besides buying kids clothes and superhero t-shirts for all my male relatives (whatever their age!), I also prefer shopping here for house slippers, throws/blankets, gym shorts, and socks. Some more tips from an avid Kohl's bargain hunter: - look for the $10 off coupons in the newspaper (usually an insert or stuck on the cover page). Or time your visits with the times they offer a $10 coupon for every $50 of purchases for even more savings - scour the clearance racks first. You will often find the same styles as in the regular racks but marked down 60-90%. Kohl's coupons are valid on sale and clearance items (unlike other department stores, where they're valid on regular-priced items only) - always carry more items to the checkout counter than you need to cross the dollar limit needed to get your discount - the at-register prices are often lower than the ones marked on the merchandise, so you may need to toss in an extra item (or two!) to cross your limit and get your discount! Only 3 registers opened and they moving slow- over a holiday weekend! No workers on the floor to help no a good thing

Maybe it's just me.... But if a store's closing time is 9:00pm, that means the store (the ENTIRE) store is closed at 9:00pm. This particular store seems to not conform to that logic. At 8:30pm, they blocked off their dressing rooms and "closed" half the store. At 8:45pm, I was walking towards the Sephora section and a salesperson stopped me and said - that section (men's section is closed already). I told her I was going to the Sephora section, not the men's section. Look, I get it.... Everyone wants to go home and really close the doors and turn off the lights at 9:00pm, but honestly ... if a store is advertised to open until 9:00pm, the WHOLE store should be available to the customer until then. Macys allows you to be in the store right up to closing time then they tell you to bring your purchases to the counter. That's normal of most stores. If employees want to go home earlier, then maybe the store's management should consider closing an hour or two earlier (say at 7:00pm) so that the employees can stay for an hour AFTER the store closes to tidy the store up for the next morning and still go home when the sun is out. read more

me and my friends were at the sephora in kohls and were being loud (didnt know that was a crime) understandably a kohls worker told my friends to be quiet. Which might i add went about it in a very rude manner, which was very much not needed because there was no threat just kids being loud ??? Theres different ways to go about that. My personal experience was with the sephora employee. She had red hair. As someone who works in sales and customer service her attitude was so unprofessional and rude. When i first approached her to ask about a product which I ended up purchasing, she was snappy and had a attitude. I was kind and tried to ignore her attitude but once my friends got kicked out and she was looking very obviously to see if thet were gone knowing damn well they were, i said to my friend "they are gone dont worry" and she said "are you talking to me?" With the attitude of course. Just very irritating and such a rude individual with zero customer service. Idk why kohls was so upset but it was very disrespectful. read more

This particular store is terrible. They had an issue with their register which took them 4 tries to get purchase completed. (20+ mins) Ended up charging me 3 times! I called them same day and they said not their problem, told me to wait a few days for credit to be applied or call my bank! I called my bank, they said it is merchant's responsibility. It's been a week.. no credit and I live no where near this store. So I need to plan on going back to store, at some point and showing them my receipt as well as bank statement in order to get this solved. Bad customer service! read more

It's not high fashion but it works. I love the housewares department. If you walk out with a 30% discount on your total bill, you weren't trying. Came in to return some amazon stuff. Girl that helped me very quick and helpful. Her coworker, Tina, was not at all. The girl helping me was the only person helping customers while Tina was playing on the computer. The phone rang while I was being helped and the girl helping me asked Tina very nicely if she could please answer the phone. Which only makes sense because the girl helping me was the only person there helping customers. Tina did not think that made sense though as she looked at the girl right in the eyes and said "um no, I don't like to answer the phone." I came here last Friday since I figured there would be great deals since it was the day after Christmas which was advertised on TV and it was not what I expected. I found some clothes I liked and since it was not the peak time of business the rows were not crowded with people so I could browse easily. The sales I felt were still pricey for the items I wanted. The main problem was the line though at check out. There was one cashier with 6 people in line with so much stuff which moved SO slow. Being in retail you know when back up is needed and it was needed especially after all the requests these people in front of me asked for. There was One person checking people out and the page was called out overhead twice and no one came to help her even after a solid 10 minutes. She was as nice as I would be in the situation but was super stressed. I remember why I stopped shopping here though. read more

Good selection! I went in looking specifically for new bedding, but got distracted by the lingerie. Shocking, I know. Most of you know that I have a "thing" with undies. Love 'em, can't have enough of 'em. It's a sickness, really. But, I'm not trying to get better. I just don't want to drop $30 per item. Something small, lacey, and smoothly silky meant to rest near my holiest of holes should not cost a small fortune! Especially since I tend to buy one in every color. Got a $10 gift card in the mail to celebrate Kohl's Grand Opening and it was burning hole in my pocket.... Kohl's = Mervyn's with a shot of Macy's poured over Target..... Quality is better than Target, Style is better than Mervyn's. 4 stars for the store. Clean and neat with loads of workers around to help or answer questions. Lots of "2 for..." deals, and their usual 40%off specials. Another option for buying shoes for the kids. Great selection of clothes for my kiddos. (will revisit sans kids to look for stuff for me!) -1 star for the cashier that made me go all the way back (with my 2 kids who were done shopping if you know what I mean) to get another sweatshirt that was not missing the price tag. So Fresh and So Clean! I like more variety in my spending habit and Kohl's is a welcome addition. Especially because it's in my little town of Livermore. Ample parking spaces, Bright, well lit store. They have everything from fashion jewelry to seasonal home decorations. I like the lay out of the cashiers in front and empolyees in the departments are there to help. Not like Macy's where they stuck behind a register and not able to help you on the selling floor. The prices were great - seems like everything was on sale - Well, it was because it was a Grand Opening. BTW - when one store anywhere is having a Grand Opening....all Kohl's store also have a Grand Opening sale. Cool Huh? This is based on Kolhs web site. It has always been a crap experience. The main issue I have had with Kolhs web site was bill pay. So I switched to just checking out and paying bill at the customer service counter. In the end I found that was the most efficient way to both check out and pay bill. It has been a long time and I checked out by the registers by the door leaving me to pay by internet. Arrrrg I am amazed it got worse. I don't even know how to fix the account info since it does to allow me to submit the new info. Kohl's is a brick and mortar store so having a crap web experience is not tops on the list but their bill pay should be a whole lot smoother and it is the worst experience I have had in online pay. This five-star review is for Matt A. I was there about two weeks ago trying to return some pants that I had bought online. The woman helping me was only able to complete a few of my returns as the other items were not coming up on their end of the computer. Long story short, she couldn't do anything for me. When I walked into Kohls today, the young man at the returns center was incredibly professional, charming, and helpful. He did everything he could to get those pants returned... Including getting a manager to answer a couple of questions. Over the past several years I've probably made about five returns and Matt was by far the most helpful person I have ever dealt with. read more

The assistant manger working today 09/08/2021 at 515pm was very rude. I went in to shop for some jeans and was trying to look around as I shop... or should I say I now USED to shop here... until the cashier started making comments about a physical disability that I have. When I complained to the assistant manager ( Alexa? I think ) she did not apologize, care or even react. Went here with a friend to get some shoes and a flannel. The shoes were vans I think and they're all black with vaders face in white outline on them. Pretty dope for a Star Wars fan. The flannel they have are more like mini coats they're super cozy and really fuzzy. I think their sizes may run a little small though. I tried on some mens joggers and I feel like I should get a large instead of a medium or small just because they were a bit too fitted. Then again it may be my hips are just that hips and they're a bit wide . They have a nice sale going on right now though. Almost forgot to add they're one of the only stores that haven't said anything about me bringing my pup with me. I you like shopping at Kohl's you might get good deals. If you use there credit card services it might be fine until you have fraud on your account. Kohl's allowed crooks to change our mail address with out our permission. When we found out we were late just over 30 before any phone call. They were more than willing to change my address back and said no late charges would accrue. That was true but they still reported it to the credit bureau. After spending over an hr on the phone all they can say is nothing we can do. Screw you Kohl's. With mail theft occurring constantly around town. All the other credit companies were helpful and getting addresses, charges, accounts, changed , reversed and closed as needed. Identity theft is high and companies unwilling to help need to be called out. Citi bank Costco was horrible also but finally taken care of. Kohl's card closing. read more

If I can give no rating for this, I wouldn't even give a one star rating. I went shopping with a friend about a few hours ago. We decided to try on some clothes and the moment I slip one leg inside the pants I stepped on a broken sensor. The needle stabbed into the bottom of my foot and my blood was literally smeared onto the floor in two different spots. I brought up the issue to the person who's in charge of the fitting room and all she had to say was she'll clean it up. She didn't ask me if I needed a bandage or alcohol because I'm pretty sure that needle was not clean. I was basically limping to my car with no purchases. This was the first time I've ever been to this Kohl's and not impressed with the customer service. Maybe people need to clean the fitting room more often. read more

I was so thrilled when the Livermore location opened! But for some reason, I prefer the Pleasanton one better. They are just more organized, and the Livermore one is more cramped it seems like. I was, however, impressed with how they handled their lines during the busy holiday season. The lines weren't terribly slow, and when one of my items didn't have a bar code on it, the girl was very nice and apologetic, and made conversation while I was waiting (though for quite a while). Just started shopping here for kids' clothes. They have a great selection and things always seem to be on sale. The Kohl's card is also a great deal. You get a better discount than the Target card at Target. Do wish they have more people on the floor, the line at the registers was really long both times I went. read more

Cool Kohl's. It's a little far out of the way, but carrys a lot more variety than other stores. Always get friendly cashier's here. Hassle free returns too. Actually prefer to come here than the one that's closer to my home and I come here every week. read more

A few months ago Kohl's opened a Big & Tall section at the Livermore store. I was thrilled to see some very nice garments, and over the last two months... My... how it has gone down hill. Now small items are peppered in the skeletal remains of garments first released and you can clearly tell what's not selling. I asked to speak to the manager and unfortunately that person was not in, However, they did put me in contact with another person, an extremely frindly woman that was kind enough to walk over to the section with me and see just how bad it is. Come on Kohl's... if you did this to the woman's section, you'd have no customers at all. JCP has gone the same direction too. read more

Big store with good selection of items. Thanks to its big size, the place isn't cramped thus easy to pass through the aisles.

Sign up for their mailing list and get the Kohls credit card and you'll save over $100 on a $30 clothing purchase.
