At about 4:10p.m today I had walked into Kohl's so I can make an Amazon return!!! I had already spoken with one associate at the front counter and literally the next register over was Sara/ Sarah who decided to single me out (a black guy!!! by the way) and ask me what my problem was!! Over the last couple of years, we have watched the Kohl's in Monument deteriorate. Each time we go into this store the experience gets worse and worse, with no selection, too many bare shelves/racks and terrible product quality. Never did i ever think I could find a better selection and quality of products at Goodwill & Walmart located right across the street, but it has become a reality. Why does this Kohls take up space in this shopping center when it's more like a flea market! read more

The manager Carleigh made the stupid decision to put all amazon returns at the front of the store. So if youre an ACTUAL customer shopping at Kohls you get overlooked because their cashiers are overwhelmed by Amazon returns instead of having the ability to check out actual customers. I think if youre going to implement a new procedure you should at least have the brain cells to recieve constructive criticism as well as come to a compromise when it impacts the customers of your actual store. If you havent noticed this is a Kohls. Not an Amazon. Maybe if Carleigh actually put more employees in place to help actual customers at the front instead of your sole focus being Amazon return priority. Please retrain this manager. Brace yourself- this is a lengthy review: Upon initial entry into the store- noticed it was clean and organized. Signs to where to go for customer service. This was my first time at this location. At customer service- encountered Emma- who was very helpful in expediently and professionally helping me with 2 separate returns. She was polite and efficient. I asked her to give me the money back on a gift card since I was shopping in the store today, and she was happy to do this. After these returns, I shopped the clearance sections in certain departments- including housewares. Why are the Halloween and Fall items still so expensive?! These are not really "clearance" prices. They had 2 large boxes of the individual Reese's PB cups- pumpkin shaped- they were 1.79 each?! And yes, this was verified by the cashier. Why 3 months after Halloween are they the same price as you would pay at Halloween for them?! The Christmas holiday section was not much better with mark-downs. I was able to find some good prices in clothing clearance. One thing I noticed is NOT ONE EMPLOYEE greeted me, or any other guest, looked up from their phones, or asked if I needed help with anything. NOT ONE. Entering the line for checkout- there were 4 sets of guests in front of me and 1 lane open. There was a guy (I found out later he was a manager) playing on his phone up by a register- but the register was not open. While waiting, the line grew to 11 sets of guests, and FINALLY the cashier called for backup. Now, mind you- there were employees at Sephora and in the women's, section just casually strolling or hanging out that saw these lines and did not initiate coming to help until the casher requested....and then they SLOWLY walked over and took their time logging onto a register. At this point we are 13 sets of guests deep in line. I had Amanda, who was one of the employees that did not seem rushed or motivated to help guests on the floor. Checkout was PAINFUL. It took almost 10 minutes to checkout. She spent a lot of time complaining about the weather because she just moved from Florida and seemed to have no realization of the number of guests standing in line wanting to move on with their day. Time for payment- gave her my Kohl's cash, my gift card I had just received less than an hour before from Emma, and my 15% coupon. She comes back to say that the gift card is empty. I present my return receipt and kept saying "Emma is right in the back- please call her up as I have money on the gift card." Rather than doing this, Amanda kept saying "there's no money on the gift card" looking at me accusingly. So, I just stood and stared at her knowing that I was being truthful. She finally called a manager....low and behold....I see the young 20's guy who had been playing on his phone not helping anyone walk up. He helped her and wouldn't you know it?! There WAS money on the gift card. So that was resolved. Next checkout issue- we process all the kohl's cash, gift card, and discount....and she tells me I owe almost 30 more dollars than my side of the screen says. I said "No, that does not make sense, that is not my balance- here is my balance" and I point to my side of the screen. She was arguing with me, and I stood there again just staring refusing to give her that amount. She called that manager back to the register who again did something and low and behold....I was right. Did she apologize for accusing me of lying or cheating?! No. She did not. Did she thank me for my purchases?! No. She did not. When I told her I do reviews and asked for her name- her face dropped. She told me her name, and I said "Thank you" and walked out with my purchases. It took over 20 minutes to checkout with the wait in line and register process....this was completely unnecessary. Mind you....the lines just kept getting longer. That manager did not step in to expedite the line, and some people actually just walked out rather than keep waiting. This was my first and last time at this location. Emma in customer service saved this review from being a 1 star. read more

I do like Kohl's, even if I'm not much of a shopper. You can find deals and clearance items throughout the store. A time or two I've gotten dress shirts for 90% off. This Monument location is conveniently located and seldom crowded. It is always sparklingly clean and tidy too. The only reason I can't give this Kohl's more stars is the pressure to sign up for a credit card. Sure I might save money but I don't really care, I just don't want another card. One cashier (Robin) is almost rabid about getting you to sign up. She won't take a hint and has even broken out a calculator a time or two to show me "how much more" I could have saved. Great prices, just be wary of the sales pitch when you're merely trying to check out. read more

I used to shop here all the time. Now it's maybe once a month. But I had $30 of Kohl's dollars and went in to use it today. Had $200 of purchases ready to go. Cashier tells me the kohl's dollars expired two weeks ago. They used to be pretty lenient about this, but now they are not. Policy seems short sighted. I had to spend the money to get the dollars. Because they would not honor the dollars, I left without buying anything. So I probably won't be back. And I canceled my Kohl's charge card. read more

We went here today to find vintage like logo T-Shirts. We were able to find a great selection. They were even on sale, 2 for $20. I don't think I will shop at Kohl's on a regular basis. The style of clothing is not what I like. I am very basic in taste... jeans and T-shirts. Despite that. They had a large selection. read more

Four stars on their continual sales and decent kitchen brands. While I have had great luck in their kitchen department, I struck out in the bedding area. I found a hand emulsifier discounted $20.00 under a major online site I frequent. Score! However, pillows and mattress pads was an epic fail. Similar pillows and some from the same brand were $20-$40.00 less across the street at a large unnamed store. However, Kohls does have amazing finds and sales that if you keep your eyes open and check the interwebs you will pay a fraction of what you would anywhere else. I typically only go for kitchen and house wares. With names like Kitchenaide etc. I stop here before heading to the larger home supply stores. I haven't bought any clothes here but they have a massive selection of workout wares and even a whole section representing local sports teams like the Broncos and Rockies. read more

Kohl's has been a pretty decent department store for the most part. I've always had some luck finding moderately figure flattering pieces for work in emergencies. During my early years, I thought Brooks Brothers and Banana Republic were the only way to go for dress shirts, skirts, and cardigans but as I got a bit older and wiser my pride diminished little by little and practical reasoning won out. I'm the type of girl that needs just one or two new pieces to refresh and update my wardrobe, if that. But I'm also the kind of person who impulse shops when she's bored and that's exactly what I do at Kohl's when I'm killing a little time on I-25 and need to stretch my legs. My last trip to Kohl's went without a hitch and my shopping experience was smooth, quiet, and easy to navigate. No annoying salespeople trying to make small talk, no sloppy arrangement of tops and display items, and best of all...NO sales tactics for their Kohl's charge. I guess someone up there listened to their customers and scaled the hard sales approach back a bit. Maybe now I'll come back a little more often. read more

There was nothing wrong with my experience until I was checking out with my mother in law. The cashier's name tag was flipped around so I could not see her name but she was an Asian lady who was being so pushy about getting a kohl's card. I politely told my mother in law she didn't want it because it was a credit card not what she was thinking it was. The lady called me a demon for persuading my mother in law not to get it. She meant it as a joke but I still was taken aback by the 15 minutes we spent listening to her try and convince my mother in law to gets a kohls card. I have bought thousands of dollars at Kohls in Monument which is why I am disappointed when I went to use a $30 credit that was a result of a large purchase. I had been out of town and when I tried to use it I was told I was a day late and there was nothing they could do to honor it. Perhaps its time to find a new store to shop at. I love this Kohl's. It is always clean and well organized. It's generally not super busy. However I can only give it three stars because of staff. There is an Asian check out lady who is just beyond ridiculous. She has been there awhile and she is friendly. However, she is overly pushy with trying to get a person to sign up for a Kohl's card. I get that Kohl's company probably pushes their employees to get people enrolled however, I should not have to tell someone no fifteen times to get her to finally take my card. Literally five minutes of me telling her I do not want the damn card. The next time I was there I purposely avoided checking out with her, but what do you know the cashiers switched right when I got to check out. Same frickin thing. Seriously? I don't want a f*ing Kohl's card. Once you tell her no the 12 th time her attitude completely changes. She becomes rude and short and pushes you out. I spend enough money at Kohl's that I do not need to open a line of credit to spend more. I am currently in the process of paying off all debt. SO I DO NOT WANT A KOHLS CARD. read more

As someone who is not really a "fan" of kohl's me giving this place 3 stars means it's probably better than average. The store is neat and clean. The service is ok- sometimes it's hard to find people and other times they won't leave you alone. I think Kohl's is a good store if you need to find something decent to wear real quick. I spent 30 minutes looking for an employee to assist me in the bedding department, until I finally gave up and went to the front desk for service. When I was checking out an item rang up overpriced and when I showed an employee and the manager the actual, lower price, they continued to argue and try to price check. The manager then spent time trying to bargain and "make me a deal" instead of selling me the item for what it was advertised as. Ridiculous and unhelpful.
