Kohl's is supposed to be discount department store much like Sears, JCPenney, and SteinMart. So one should expect to find value here. Ok, I would never buy clothes from here. But I'd consider purchasing housewares, textiles, and similar non-essential items. Last night, I was doing some comparison shopping on electric toothbrushes. I visited Target, Best Buy, WalMart, Macy's, Sears, JCPenney, Bed, Bath & Beyond, and Kohl's. Yes, I visited all of these stores in one night. If you don't own an electronic toothbrush, then you probably don't know why I was so determined to find the best deal. I'll help you understand. The Oral B Professional Care 3000 emits 40,000 pulsations and 8,000 oscillations in a single minute. The average human would need several hours to match those statistics. A pulsation is like a brush stroke and an oscillation is when you brush in a circular motion. Are you starting to get the picture? What an electronic toothbrush can do in 2 minutes, you can probably do in 600 minutes. My GF introduced me to the way of the electronic toothbrush and I'll never go back. Fast forward to last night. I visit 8 stores, and Kohl's has the HIGHEST price for the Oral B Pro-Care 3000. JCPenney - didn't carry it Sears - $110 WalMart - $100 BBB - $100 Target - $100 Macy's - not available Kohl's - $120!!!! What gives? But if you open a Kohl's card, you save 20% off the purchase. The worst dot com experience. They're unable to resolve an issue regarding delivery to wrong the address. I called and tried updating my address 10-15 minutes after the order was placed online. I had to deal with customer service that spoke broken English from their overseas call center. This is a direct quote from their site, "We may be able to make the following changes within 30 minutes from when you placed your order: Cancel your order." I was not able to cancel my order, I couldn't update my shipping address with Kohl's, and I updated my shipping address with OnTrac as soon as I got the tracking number and they still screwed up. The payment was made using a Kohl's credit card. I can't do a chargeback, I didn't receive my order, and now I'm obligated to pay for this since it's tied to my credit report. Been there many times over the years, this is the first time that the employee was inconsiderate. We picked three items of clothing and stood in line. The cashier was helping another customer and she said that"she would be with us in a few minutes" which was fine, however, after finishing with that customer, another customer came in from outside and proceeded to interface with cashier. The cashier totally ignored us. Needless to say we put our purchases on the counter and left. Khols you need to train your employees to take customers in order of line up. We went to Macy's and bought similar apparel for less, so she actually did us a favour. read more

Kohl's is crazy... One because I think they mark up their products by 150%, but then offer you 30-60% off. So yes, it looks like you're saving so much percent off, but in reality, they're just not charging you full pop for the shirt you like! On the other hand, I once took up a $35 dress shirt on sale for $20, and it rang up for $5... how the heck that happened, I have no idea, but I was a happy camper for sure. Recently came by for Black Friday, and it was pretty organized... a little crazy, but when the receipt says "You Saved $312", how can you not be satisfied??? Got me some Kohl's bucks, which expired last night when I went back and the guy actually still let me use them! Why would you not let me save $15 if I'm about to spend $80? While there's a sign at entrance to wear a mask, it's not enforced at all. I saw them serving people at registers without a mask. The girl at the cashier and her attitude towards me , throwing the bag on the counter without any respect , I demand you review the cameras to see what she did . and the experience I occurred to match the price of a garment that was not ringing right as on the shelf and displayed in the store. The item was placed under the screen showing 40% and I asked to match it , the girl called someone to check and said no it's full price , I asked her nicely to please talk to the manager about it who responded quickly and matched it for me . The girl did not tell me what the total was, took the kohls cash from me and did not even update me with the new price after matching it! Then did not tell me the remaining balance of the kohls cash, she put everything in the bag and just wave it on the counter for me saying here you go!!!!. I told her what is this attitude and asked for the manager. Then she proceeded to call for the next customer without telling me to wait or anything!!! This store is ridiculously over priced. We went to buy my husband Lee Dungaree slacks, and they were $48, BOGO 1/2 off. So, after discount they would be $36 each. We went to Amazon and they were $21 for the same exact pant (same style, color, and size). Then, when asking for help, the first lady said she would be right there and never came back. Woohoo, holiday season and sale items are even cheaper at the register, so I was happily surprised. I usually shop at thrift stores because I am a university student tryin to save money. Items are on "sale" all the time it seems. I look through the actual, hella marked down sales sections and find things that are pretty still expensive and in awful condition like they were sewed by unfortunate sweatshop laborers. But I had a desire for some atrocious colored pants, had a feeling I needed to go to Kohls, and bam there they were. So Kohls is magic. Kohls has things you could probably find cheaper at TJmaxx, but there was some Lauren Conrad earrings and Jennifer Lopez shoes I found very cute. Why the hell is there so many cross and religious jewelry, though. I didn't walk into Forever21 or Notofthisworld shop. And I simply respond to offers of credit cards at the cashier by going, "No thanks." And maybe because it was late, but employees did seem like zombies. I can't stand clothes shopping, so I usually put it off until I can't ignore it anymore. I came in here to buy jeans and a few shirts. I find what I'm looking for, grab a few things from the clearance section and head for the cashier. I get to the register and the old lady behind the counter asks me if I'll be "putting this on your Kohl's credit card". I say no, I don't have one and I'm not interested in one. She ignores me and insists I sign up for one. I decline, and she proceeds to argue with me about it, asking me several times if I'm sure I don't want to sign up and listing all of the supposedly fantastic things that will happen to me if I sign up. I repeatedly decline. She then starts harassing me about opening up a "rewards" account, insisting I do so because I'll "save 30%". I tell her I'm not interested and she proceeds to argue with me about this, bugging me with the same "are you sure" routine she used about the credit account. I'm so close to walking out, which I should have done, but I decide not to because I don't want to have the hassle of going someplace else. I'm trying to really be pleasant as possible, but in the back of my mind I'm also really wanting to tell this lady to just shut up and ring up the items and let me leave. Then I get all the way home and unpack everything to wash it and find that the cashier, in her desperate attempts to harass me into signing up for a credit card and rewards account, has failed to remove a dye pack from one of the T-Shirts I picked up off the clearance rack. I'm not driving 20 miles across town and go through the hassle of proving I purchased a ten dollar shirt to have the dye pack removed, so I just cut it up for rags to use in the garage and threw out the dye pack. I'm done shopping at Kohl's for good. I don't care if it's this lady's job to ask if customers if they want a store credit card or a rewards account. If I say I'm not interested, that isn't an invitation I'm extending to debate my reasoning. Brick and mortar stores complain about how online retailers like Amazon are killing them, but I don't get harassed during Amazon's checkout if I decline their credit card offer and I don't get harassed to sign up for rewards accounts or give them my email address. Amazingly enough, I also don't have dye packs left on items I order either. From now on, I'll just do my clothes shopping on Amazon and skip Kohl's and their pushy cashiers that would rather do a crappy job of ringing up items and removing dye packs so that they can argue with customers when the offer for a credit card or rewards account is declined. read more

Ordered on line and went to pick up. 8 pm at night should be pretty chill but the line was 9 deep. 2 lights were on so 2 people should have been at the counter but only 1 was there. She never acknowledged the huge line. Just ignored.... no sorry... no be right with you.....called the store from my cell phone while in line and said hey can you get some help at customer service. The phone operator said she would send a manager right up no one arrived. After 20 minutes and only 1 other customer being helped I cancelled my order via my phone and left. I did call again and asked to speak to the manager but was left on hold .... I actually drove home while still on hold. With the holidays coming I'll be looking elsewhere to shop. read more

I came in today to combine my receipts to see if I qualified for the $10 KC because the sub totals of both receipts qualified. I went to the CS line and was told because it wasn't during the period the cash was given out, that I didn't qualify. I asked for a manager because I wanted more clarification of why I couldn't (which this was my first time during this accident). The manager who had curly gray hair and glasses (unfortunately didn't get her name) seemed rude to begin with and did not show any kind of Customer Service to myself as the shopper here. She was very forward and did not seem apologetic whatsoever. Besides the occasional pricing errors around the store I had to watch out, I am now already in a bad mood because of this experience. It seems like the "Yes We Can" initiative is not fully being shown at this store. I will likely not shop here anymore. read more

I went shopping at this Kohl's location today, 12/17/2016, even though there's one closer to my home in Temecula. Not too familiar with the set up of this place, but managed to do some last minute Christmas shopping. My husband and I were trying to reach a merchandise that was up high and required the long hook to reach it. A sales associate who was either on break or already off duty saw that we were trying our best to get the shirt above and went out of her way to help us out. And as I was checking out, the cashier Lori was so kind to offer me a scratcher coupon, because I accidentally brought my expired ones. Love the great customer service at this Kohl's. So rare to encounter such great workers nowadays. read more

Back when this Kohl's first opened, I interviewed for a job here. I didn't get the job, but looking back, I'm glad I didn't. This store is always sparking clean and tidy, but I swear the atmosphere in here is like a morgue. I don't know, maybe they should try blasting dance or techno music in here or something. Judging from how uncrowded this store is every time I come here, we'll see how long this Kohl's stays open in this current recession. I only shop clearance here, when stuff is 60-70-80% off, and they tend to have a better clearance selection that hasn't already been ravaged by the public like at more busy stores such as JC Penny's. read more

Came to buy some blacks slacks for my son. The boys section was extremely small and when I asked a few employees nobody seemed to know where they were. One said that's not my area and walked off, the other gave a good effort for a bit but eventually also walked off without telling me if they were going to come back or not so not the best clothes shopping experience there. read more

First off I just read Thanks T review. It was so funny. I agree with her review that the place is clean and tidy and that it has been dead each time I was there. But to me that's a great thing. I love having the whole place to myself. I hate it when its crowded and unruly children running around. They seem to always have a sale and some of the sections are marked down 50 to 70%. We bought some wall decorations for the house and they had alot of nice items. They have a good return policy. If your not satisfied with the item you purchased, you can return it with out any problems or hassles, just keep the receipt. Will shop here. Since its so dead, maybe I should apply? read more

Last couple of months it is very annoying to get asked by every single cashier if u would like to open a kohls credit card. When you say no they start trying to tell you "you don't Wana save today?" Not only was this place a mess the employees really didn't have much personality to make up for it. Shoes and children's departments we're absolutely terrible. The selection for toddlers was embarrassing. I had to dig through random boxes to find shoes that weren't even on display. Besides the fact that a large number of customers there are rude and inconsiderate dirtbags, kohls should really consider arranging the employees throughout the store more efficiently. If you use the coupons and rewards, you can hunt down good deals. Still, it takes a lot of time to do that. Then the store is almost always messy and check out lines are long. I was very disappointed with this store! I've been shopping at kohls for a very long time and this was by far the worst one. I went in with my 1 year old just to grab some Christmas presents, and right when we walked in, there were no carts available. They had the little basket on wheels, but I need to put my son on the cart that was child accessible. I walked over the the second entrance area, and there were no carts as well, I asked an employee like what was going on? Both of my sons, 17 & 20, needed clothes. Everything from shorts & tees to suits and ties, both at the same time. We have saved hundreds of dollars between Kohl's Cash and the Rewards program. They carry great style for both boys. I hate going to the malls and there aren't really any stores for guys where you can get everything in one stop. Telly pleased with our Kohl's experiences. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! Just wasted 20mins of my life being ignored at the Jewelry counter not one "we'll be right with u" not one "sorry about the wait" NOTHING! And the kicker, some old blonde woman that looked right at me, ignored me and proceeded to help a couple that walked up after me. I'm writing this review regarding some of the best customer service I have ever experienced. Yesterday, I was shopping the store for Christmas gifts for my family. The store was busy, I was tired and by the time I got out to my car, I realized I didn't have my iPhone on me. I went back in and talked to employees who basically shrugged their shoulders, leaving me to search the floors and racks alone, trying to keep from crying as desperation set in. Finally I went home to get a track on the phone and sure enough, my phone tracked to the inside of the Kohl's store. I drove the 20 minutes back to the store and again, spoked to two more employees, one of which at customer service. No ideas and I left my phone number with them in case it showed up. I went back to the retail floor to continue searching. I was on my way out, had given completely up when a young associate named SYDNEY, working the juniors section approached me and offered to help. She put a pause on her work duties and immediately whipped out her iPhone, allowed me to login to my account and we tracked it right there in the store. After a while it seemed hopeless, however she didn't give up and seemed happy to keep helping, so we kept looking. Finally after hours of searching this giant retail store, my girl Sydney pulled out my beautifully cracked and beat up iPhone! You guys, she was just as excited to find it as I was! I hugged her, tried to pay her (she refused it) and eventually ended up just thanking her profusely and left the store. Sydney made my Christmas season, as I did not have the money to replace my phone and it would have meant very little gift-wise for my kids, if I had to right now. Sydney should be recognized by the Murrieta Kohl's management team and by her fellow coworkers. Having had all of my work experience in retail and restaurant industries, I can say for certain, she is an absolute asset to your crew. Thank you Sydney, for going above and beyond the expected duties of your job. You stepped outside your title as an employee and stepped into being a human! Do you know how rare that is these days? Horrible customer service. I came in before Christmas and ask to speak to a manager (Joan) she was the rudest lady. It's like she was bitter working Christmas Eve. So unfriendly.. I asked to speak to another manager. She was very nice and respectful. People who cannot be respectful and are not good with customer issues should not be manager. This Kohl's is definitely completely different than the Menifee Kohls. This Kohl's is very crowded and the space between the racks, aisles, and departments is so small. The layout of the store is a bit confusing. I've been here twice now and I can rate my customer service experience at 3.5/5. 2 stars because I know there are some great employees here, but there are also bad seeds and not thrilled with quality of items. Kohl's isn't where I shop anymore because the quality of things is hit and miss. Had to return a diffuser that didn't work that I received as a gift and the return was easy, but had the product been of better quality I wouldn't have had to return it. Went in yesterday to use my Kohl's cash. The check out lady was rude and off putting. I had to run to my car to grab my Kohl's cash I forgot and she gave me attitude and rolled her eyes. Came back in and then guilt tripped me over not wanting to open a Kohl's card. My husband apparently said he almost got into an argument with the cashier when he shopped there for a few Christmas presents because he didn't want to open a Kohl's card. When people say no, move on and PROVIDE GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE so maybe the door is open to me saying yes to a Kohl's card one day because I was treated with kindness after declining. Oh and not that I would've used it, but I noticed she didn't give me the $10 Kohl's cash I should've received. Don't care about it, but it's the principle. There was also a couple of employees talking trash about another employee in a walk way I passed through. Be professional and have some respect.
