I really like this kohls compared to the one closer to my home. They've definitely done a bit of updating since adding the Sephora area to the store. Location is pretty clean and organized, but their shoe section is drastically lacking as it seems to be most kohls are in the area. Nowhere in an email or on the Kohl's Facebook page does it say that two weeks ago they changed their policy of allowing 10 day grace period on Kohl's Cash. I realize it is my fault for letting the holiday weekend and expiration date get by me but Kohl's has ALWAYS honored things in the past. I waited on hold calling customer service for 32 minutes before getting a person tell me there is nothing she can do for me. Terrible store policy! If they lose enough of us life long Kohl's shoppers they will be out of business like the likes of many retail shops. read more

Please DO NOT post store managers at the entrance to question people about why they didn't use their Amazon coupon. It is unbelievably tacky. The UPS store is closer to my office and I'm not harassed for not buying crap there. Kohl's needs to tone it TF down. They are doing so much better than they were a mere 5 years ago so this desperation tactic is inappropriate. While purchasing items for my son's dorm room, I had to make multiple purchases. The first order had multiple items and everything I planned on keeping. I earned a total of $45 Kohls cash. Of course, you get reminders that you if you don't use the Kohls cash, you lose it. So, I placed another order and used the $45 Kohls cash on some sheet sets. After receiving them, I realized the quality of the sheets was very poor. A few items from my original order didn't fit and one item, Cuisinart double waffle maker, was made mostly of plastic and poor materials. I knew returning those items would reduced my Kohls cash but since I was returning the sheets, I wasn't concerned. Here is the issue: it doesn't reduce my Kohls cash...it reduces my refund. Since I had used the Kohls cash, I am stuck with the Kohls cash. They reduced my refund by $20 and stated I could just use the Kohls cash on something else. I don't have a problem with receiving store credit BUT I do have a problem with receiving store credit that EXPIRES IN TWO WEEKS!! I don't need anything at the store especially when they charge over manufacturer's suggested price so you can earn Kohls cash when buying it???‍‍ This is a SCAM! No other store does this. They want you to let your Kohls cash expire so they get to keep the profits on their over priced items. If it wasn't a scam, they would have allowed me to get a gift card of store credit instead of Kohls Cash but I was told that isn't how Kohls Cash works. I will find something to spend my Kohls cash on so they don't get to keep my money. However, I will not shop here EVER AGAIN and will make sure to tell everyone why. read more

This is one of my favorite stores. You have to play their high-low game with the coupons and then understand the limits/restrictions on said coupons and then it's a fun, rewarding experience with overall quality products. My wife loves Kohl's for their fast fashion/seasonal approach. New outfits each season without breaking the bank. She loves the brands, the styles, and fits. They make returns easy (dressing rooms are closed right now during Covid). I love the Men's casual wear. Apt. 9 tops are terrific for WFH (even better than clearance section on Nordy's). They carry excellent national brands like Nike, Adidas, Under Armor, Levi's along with house brands like Marc Anthony. Great selection of shoes for all needs. If you need quality luggage at truly affordable pricing, this is your place. If you have an Amazon return, this is the easy choice. Walk up to the designated Amazon line, show your QR code, and they give you a 25% off coupon (mine was good for a week-it didn't last that long). No boxes or packaging necessary, they take care of everything and the Amazon refund was nearly instantaneous. Love Kohl's one of the best "department" stores still standing. read more

My partner and I came in today March 4th around 4 pm to make an amazon return. There was a large line and only one employee but she was very kind to everyone. That was until my partner and I came up to the counter, she looked us both up and down and didn't say a word. Just scanned our bar code and made a nasty face the whole time. Once we walked away she went back to cheery conversation with everyone behind us. For reference, we had our return fully prepared, boxed up with the barcode ready to make her job in the midst of that line a small bit simpler. My partner and I are both women and my girlfriend has her hair cut short and we were in active clothing to go to the gym after our errands. I fully felt that we were discriminated against and judged for our outward appearance. Not once were we affectionate or showed an ounce of pda because we have been harassed in public before. Everything about how our interaction went and after observing everyone around us, we felt very uncomfortable. Personal views aside, you should not be in a customer service position if you can't approach everyone with the same level of respect and put your judgements aside. I hope that she can learn to treat the people around her with more kindness and become more understanding that people can be different from her. As for Kohls, maybe assess whether your employees are fit to be a public representation of your brand because as of now, I don't feel I will ever put ourselves in that position by being in your store again. read more

Do NOT spend a SEPHORA gift card at Kohls. The real Sephora stores cannot help with refunds or exchanges of any Sephora products from Kohls. And Kohls will not refund any credit back to your Sephora gift card, will only offer Kohl's store credit. So if you buy anything at Kohls, you're stuck with Kohls and their very limited selection of Sephora products ... they don't have the newest items, they don't have as wide of selection, and they don't restock items very often. Avoid this fake "store within a store" as the plague/scam that it is. read more

Coupon this, rebate that, 10% off NEXT visit, but only on a full moon, and and and... It's just too much. I'd rather just see the price and choose whether to buy or not. But there are a few very specific complaints I have about this store. 1) I was hassled in the parking lot by some creep in a silver Mercedes Benz car. He pulled up right next to my car and knocked on the window. I rolled the window down approximately 1" and asked, "can I help you?" He replied, "how are you doing tonight?" To which I said, "Fine, is there something you need help with?" He looked me over for a few seconds before saying "Never mind, I thought you were someone else," and sped off, peeling out. I hurriedly entered the store and tried reporting this to their manager. She told me there's no parking lot security and there's really nothing they could do. That's pretty unsafe, in my opinion. There's so many stores in that strip mall location, surely they could all pool together to help secure their customers and their employees. To cap it off, I saw the same silver Mercedes Benz cruising the parking lot as I walked (quickly) to my car. 2) I was returning several items (either didn't fit or ended up not wanting), but had one item that I really loved: a Rock and Republic grey sweater. When I got the sweater home, I noticed that there was a huge hole in the armpit area. As I was leaving on vacation, I couldn't immediately return it. When I asked the customer service rep if they had any in stock, she couldn't tell and suggested I check the racks. Do they not have a log of what items they currently stock? I decided to keep the sweater and see if they have it available online. If they do, I'll be returning the defective one and purchasing it online. 3) Their Women's Rock and Republic section is smaller than the one in Surprise. Overall, I think I'm going to stick to the Kohl's Surprise. I feel safer and they have more of the clothes I love. read more

Please, someone tell me, how does this place even post a profit. Ever? I live down the road and since I was a child I had never heard of Kohl's. And when came in down the road, it was described to me as a cross between a Dillard's and a Mervyn's. This didn't bode well for this new establishment. I was pretty sure I was going to buy socks, and maybe underwear here, and call it a deal. Boy, was I wrong. The first time I knew I was missing out is when my wife bought me a bunch of clothes (yeah, my wife buys some of my clothes. I admit it) and I started wearing them and they weren't just very affordable, they were also very much my style. Casual, generic, and comfortable beyond all description. I had to know what this place looked like in person. It had to have tossed clothing racks, rancid dressing rooms, horrible service. DAMN! Foiled again. Now, I am writing this review about 5 years after this place has been around so this is about 4 years of experiences at this location. The racks are always, for the most part, clean and tidy. The organization is methodical and predictable. The clothes are a very good bargain. I am not talking super high end stuff for a good price. I am talking proprietary clothing at an outstanding price. Generic silk screen shirts, sturdy jeans, quality socks. This isn't Rodeo drive people, but they do have some nicer clothes that I have purchased for interviews and weddings. Good clothing, period. This brings me to the price. I guess I don't know the first thing about running a large chain of retail clothing. I will admit this. But how can you throw down $150 worth of clothing on the check out counter and after red tags, special discount days, mailed coupons, Arbor Day, and just because discounts, I am paying around $85. I don't think Kohl's sells surplus clothing like Costco and Sam's but if it is then I truly can't tell. And however they do it, I don't care. The prices is how this store earned that extra star on the end. I will go back for pretty much everything short of suits and scuba gear. I can't end this without talking about the staff. Always friendly and knowledgeable. The returns are lenient if you just are happy with your purchase. They will give you a little good conversation while you are checking out and they really keep the store in good shape overall. Bravo. read more

came into the store to redeem kohls cash from a $300 purchase I made a couple weeks back, stood in the long line, because there is never enough cashiers anywhere anymore. finally reached a cashier. as she is ringing up, scans kohls cash, says it's been redeemed already, which it had not been previously used, as the voucher was in my purse the entire time, no online purchase made with the voucher, no other purchases made whatsoever at kohls since the prior $300 purchase. she refused to believe me, refused any sort of resolution. looked at me like I was a scammer and lair, however I am not scamming your company as I can more than afford the authentic LV bag I carry, and the $60 shoes I was attempting to purchase with the voucher being partial payment. surely I am no longer providing a crappy company the money I work hard for. do better kohls. read more

Located inside of a shopping plaza, this location has all of the standard offerings for the chain. We meandered through the store for a bit and purchased a frame to give to my wife's parents. The overall store is well organized, but there were spots that seemed a bit chaotic and in need of a little attention with a mix or items that had been randomly placed here and there. Not a-typical of a retail store since people like to grab things and then decide not to get them and drop them where ever, so not a big deal. The most well organized section was the kitchen / housewares area, but it didn't seem to have a lot of the same sales or deals that were happening in the rest of the store. After seeing everything we wanted to look at, we headed to the cashier to check out. We waited in a short line and the cashier was semi-pleasant. Asked about the return policy since this item was a gift and were told "they never care, you can return it whenever." Seemed like an odd answer, but we'll take it - no offer or a gift receipt or anything else. Not a bad stop, but not the best location for this chain that we've been to. Definitely a three star, "A-OK" spot. read more

Let me start by saying I love Kohls! I love the products, i love the sales, its good quality for the price. This store is also always clean. The rating is for service. I have not once left feeling good about the service i was provided and im there quite a bit. You have to search hard for someone to help you, customer service is always rude no matter who you get. Ive found employees huddles together talking before. I like that they usually have our sizes otherwise it would be worth the further drive to bell where the staff is a lot more helpful and friendly. read more

I ordered some dog steps online with Kohl's. 9 days later, I received a dog carrier. That's a far cry from the dog steps I ordered and took 9 days to arrive. We went to the Lake Pleasant Store tonight to return the wrong item we received. First of all, Melinda in Customer Service saw us but kept her back to us for at least 2 minutes. When she finally turned around, I told her we received the wrong item and she scanned it and said the item was not found. I couldn't believe it. Then she took the receipt off of the box and said "oh, here it is". She offered no apology for us having to wait for the wrong item. I asked her if I can order the steps with her and she said just go to the kiosk. I walked away at that time. My husband and I just received new cards which I activated. When we got the the very un friendly cashier, she rang us up, no eye contact, just kept her head down. I swiped my Kohl's Charge and she said I need your drivers license which I didn't have on me. I asked her why she needs my license and she said my new card wasn't activated. I activated it last night and even showed her the confirmation. She wouldn't let us purchase anything without my license. I even had my old Kohl's charge and she said no way. She was very rude and needless to say, we will not shop at this location anymore. I've seen many other bad reviews for this store dating back to 2014 and they keep replying the same thing to everyone. Why haven't these problems been fixed in all these years??? It's terrible that the employees can treat customers like this and Management does nothing about it. I will be ordering my dogs steps elsewhere and not shopping at Kohl's anymore. Upper Management NEEDS TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THESE PROBLEMS AT THIS LOCATION ALREADY. They lost us as customers. read more

As a former employee I do shop here from time to time but I am not super impressed. Not much has changed since my time as an employee and it's not the best company. The clothes are somewhat affordable, they do carry certain merchandise that is not worth the price. This location is in the middle as far as cleanliness. Dirty, unorganized, and honestly just not worth the trip. I have been here on several occasions to purchase work slacks and other random odds and ends for my home. Trying to find anything here is a full time job. Clothes are never on the shelf that they're supposed to be. Add this on top of the old lady at the register giving me ridiculous amounts of trouble for refusing to sign up for a credit card on my $50 purchase to save a nominal amount of money (ya, right), this is a place I'll be skipping from now on. I am giving 2 stars because there are some nice folks working there. The management just needs to crack down on getting their employees to organize the men's section because its awful. read more

Loved it! My wife and I were there and treated so kind. Brent was an associate that was extremely nice and stood out. The manager went above and beyond to take care of us. We went to three other locations closer to home and thought they would be the same, they weren't. We even spoke with the manager at the Bell and Litchfield location and he was snarky. Needed some help in the jewelry department tonight. Stood there for 45 minutes only for Nancy to very rudely acknowledge me only after other customers pointed me out to her. She wouldn't take anything out of the case for me (I'm assuming because I'm young. I'm 19 and was trying to buy a bracelet for my mom for Mother's Day.) She told me she didn't really have the time to look at all the prices and wouldn't let me check pricing or really see any pieces (which were all under $100... no reason to not show me.)
