I have been going to this Costco location for YEARS. I live closer to a different location, the business center. I also think there is another location closer to me, but I go to this one because it is the one I know. My most recent visit was to fuel up my vehicle; it generally is a better deal than the regular fuel stations. I used to go to the car wash too; you can add it to your fuel station purchase right at the pump. They have everything I need and everything I did not know I need. One thing I crave is the almond croissant type pastry. When I actually go inside the location, I purchase random things, things I do not need- but do want, and then get dog toys or treats. When I do shop inside, I like to show up on a day I don't have a packed schedule. I want to spend some time going up and down the aisles seeing new to me things, looking for familiar things, and checking out samples. They are good about returns, as one time I purchased something and realized I did not need it- no issues. read more

We were in Phoenix with a friend for a medical appointment, and he wanted to stop at Costco. I hadn't been to a Costco for about 20 years and never understood the cult following this place has. Maybe if you're buying for your entire workplace or have a huge family this store would make sense. It was the size of an airport hangar, and I felt like I needed a passport to get to the other side. The aisles were numbered with no signs, so I had no idea where anything was. LOTS of walking! Yes, the prices are cheaper, but the place is too overwhelming. This is my preferred Costco, though I love all of the Costcos in our area. This Costco is near a Trader Joe's and some other shops so that I can get a lot of shopping done at once. This Costco also has a Costco car wash which is a big plus in my book. You can get your car rinsed off with a little bit of scrubbing for around seven dollars and you can pay for the car wash at the pump while you're filling up for gas. This is very convenient, especially in the summer months when the overnight monsoons leave your car with giant dusty blobs all over the windshield and hood. The Costco itself has an optometry department and tire center, and of course the food court among other things. I like the set up and the workers and customers seem a bit more polite at this location. Of course, the value and quality at Costco is always top-notch. Every time I go to this Costco, the employees are friendly and provide good service. However, today I had a negative experience with an older employee in the clothing section. The area was already messy before I picked up a shirt to look at. While I was holding it up to check the size, she came over and asked what size I needed. I told her I was just browsing. She then picked up a shirt nearby and said it didn't belong there, speaking to me as if I had put it there. After that, she kept staring at me until a friend of hers came by and said hello to her. Her staring make me uncomfortable and feel like I made the whole mess. Watch out you can get harassed for browsing at the clothes section!! read more

Amazing customer service! Hey Yelpers. We are in town for our daughter's instillation at Peace Lutheran church of Peoria and we were getting ready to head back to Vegas when we noticed a bubble in our sidewall of our front driver tire. The hubby drove to Costco and we thought the tire service was closed so we parked and he hopped out to change the tire. What a good guy Cory is. He was catching a quick break and noticed that we needed assistance. He came right over and offered to take care of it for us. He drove the car over to the lift and asked us to go up front and check in. Unfortunately, they couldn't find, nor I, the key to the lug lock. It was nowhere to be found. It either got moved into the house at some point or left at the dealership last time. They were not able to help us without it. We still appreciate the enormous effort on their part. You know Costco has great prices. While we were there I noticed they have a huge selection of tires. I just want to thank the team from Costco Tire Services for almost saving the day!! This was a very nice Costco and I was very surprised that there were samples out at 5 o'clock on a Thursday evening! I got what I needed and checked out quickly. I'm very confused about why an employee stands near the register and pre-scans items at the register and then the person at the register has to scan again for you to pay. Kinda annoying too. I asked a red vest person a question about gift card availability and had to wait for a bit before someone even noticed me cause they were all huddled and talking and not paying attention. He was pretty rude and dismissive when he finally did ask me what I needed by saying "what's up". Very odd interaction. read more

James at the optical section was not friendly at all. My number was called but I was still looking and he obviously knew I wasn't ready but just starred at me. I said I wasn't ready yet and he rolled his eyes and said when I was ready to just let them know. I just grabbed another number because he made me feel like I was an inconvenience to him. I was so glad I did not get him to help me when my new number was called. He had another issue with a customer by accidentally refunding one of the expensive transactions twice and he had to get a manager to help. Sounded messy and perhaps he was having a bad day but don't take it out on me! I got Kenny instead and he was really nice and helpful. I'm not sure why this Costco has bad reviews. Is it busy YES!! but even though it is busy the staff is always super friendly and helpful. The food area can at times get busy and dirty and I think they definitely need more employees in that area to help keep the tables and condiment area clean. We have also used the tire and battery section and can always find what we need and all are super helpful. I love that they always have the best items up front and overall this is a great Costco. read more

This was our first time at this Costco location today and unfortunately we had a negative experience with our cashier Linda. She slammed down our SMALL pack of energy drinks on the register and rudely expressed that heavy items are to be left in the cart. We didn't quite hear her correctly at first and she got aggressive and goes NO! I said LEAVE IT in the cart next time!!! heavy items are NOT to come out of the cart and there's a sign on the register at the end that says this! We were like woah lady ..... calm down, we've never been here and clearly didn't see the sign, it was a small pack of energy drinks, it wasn't a large case of sodas or anything like that so we didn't think to leave it in the cart.... and to literally slam our items down like she was throwing a tantrum was crazy behavior. I understand being busy and overwhelmed, but a simple hey, just a friendly reminder/ heads up, we no longer require items like this on the register, you're welcome to leave that in the cart for your convenience and we can easily just scan it. I'm really disappointed at several of the Costco stores in Arizona. I've been a member of Costco for 33 years, when it was Price Club. Perhaps you think you're too good for the customers because that's how you're acting. Many of your employees are curt, as if they are doing you a favor. I called about a return today to the administrative office and the person I spoke to was so rude he didn't even say goodbye. Because it was food I felt bad but I had to return it for personal reasons and he acted like I was a second-class citizen. You have a very good return policy and I know people take advantage of it but I don't. I spend a lot of money at your store monthly. You are my go-to store I trust Costco explicitly for freshness and good quality. Recently I had to call the corporate office about a personal issue. I was returned to someone in particular and I called twice and he never ever return my call. At the corporate office. Unbelievable. Your stores bringing millions a week. Maybe it's because you've gone public now, you just don't care. You've grown not just because of what you offer but because of the great service that you provide, or used to provide. In Glendale, AZ, opening times have always been posted as 10am but on a regular basis, doors opened at around 9:30am allowing entry to all card members. Apparently this changed last week with no notification and now only Executive card members can enter before 10am. This morning many members in their 70s, 80s and older were kept waiting in 100+F temperatures until 10am was reached BUT then the officious staff decided to determine who should enter first and began roping off access from one side. No-one was going to line up in full sunshine rather than staying under the canopy. A little common sense would have gone a long way on the part of the employees. I heard many people saying that they would not be renewing membership and I actually left and went to join SAM's club, a 5 mn drive away. read more

Arrowhead Costco I was in this store for the first time on 03/18/2025. There was a huge stack of polyester children's swim suits neatly piled on the end kiosk, I slightly touched one and the whole stack slipped onto the floor, as I tried to stop it and restack it all it just kept sliding on the floor, I was mortified because regardless of what i did it kept sliding onto the floor, I went in search of a clerk.. None to be found but when I got back there was an employee restocking it with plexiglass barriers which should've been there since moment one! She starts yelling at me for not making sure that they weren't being stepped on, I shrugged my shoulders and said my bad, I tried to stop it, fix it and eventually tried to notify an associate 0f the mess i had just made and she continued YELLING AT ME! I felt so horrible that I bought one of the swim suits. I'm less mad at her than I am at myself for letting some angry insignificant pos dress me down in public. I said I'm so sorry, I am mortified over it and said at least I'm owning it and I tried to fix it, of course she said she stood d0wn the isle and watched me try, then walk away, she didn't even try to help me! I will probably never go back into that store again but I'm glad that I stopped to talk to management as they seemed to know who I was talking about and they said that today is her last day... Tire center put 1 wrong size tire (50 series instead of the 55 series) on the rear axle of my 90,000 mile Buick all wheel drive Enclave. Rear differential failed. Parts on global back order because that part doesn't fail under 200,000+ miles so replacements not manufactured. Costco won't pay for rental car. Have to travel 1400 miles to return home with dogs so can't fly & no car at home. Had to spend $40,000+ to buy a decent used car to get home. They replaced the tire but this has been going on since early February & it's now end of April. read more

Great selection at this location. Found lots of items that could easily have become impuls buys. Items were well stocked. Many of the items that were on coupon were displayed on endcaps throughout the store. Love that they have gift cards for local businesses and disscounted prices. Long lines at checkout in the mornings. Late afternoon is usually a little better. Self checkout is also available. Traffic here is crazy! I got here a couple minutes after opening, and had to double check the time. It was hard to believe that on a weekend, the parking lot was mostly full. Getting out of the parking lot was fairly hard as well. This location has both a gas station and car wash. Gas lines move fairly quickly. I have yet to try the car wash. read more

BEWARE! CAR WASH, CRACKED WINDSHIELDS. We went through the Costco Car Wash this past week. It CRACKED MY WINDSHIELD. I had no prior damage to my windshield, and actually a few days prior had video evidence (I recorded a video of the scenery around us from the passenger seat) that my windshield was not damaged. I filed a claim with Costco at their member services department. Within a day or two, Gallagher Bassett, Costco's third party insurance, contacted me and said it wasn't their fault. That they had completed many other car washes that day with no damage. The representative from Gallagher, Tenise, was extremely rude and hung up the phone on me. I received a denial email a few minutes later. DO NOT USE THE CAR WASH HERE! The same thing happened to someone a week before this happened to me, in OXNARD CA! That customer posted the same experience here on Yelp. I spent $800 in the store that day, and they were beyond rude about my windshield. Disgusting customer service. read more

I've always had a love/hate relationship with Costco. Love their products but hate how much they make their customers adapt to them, like only accepting Visa as form of payment! It's one of those things where I mindlessly renew my membership every year out of habit. The Glendale Costco was the straw that broke the camel's back. Their cashier, Linda, got into a verbal altercation with me at the register because I asked my mother in law for help at the register while I was tending to my toddler. Linda was rude, smug, snarky and incredibly unprofessional! I explained the merchandise is mine, membership is mine and money being used for payment is mine! This was insufficient, she actually made me set my toddler aside, come around the register so I can personally hand her payment. Then proceeded to argue with me that she wasnt going to allow me to pay for my stuff! Poor customer service at this location isn't an isolated incident, they really do treat customers of color as less than. For this reason, I always try to use self-checkout, but the line was ridiculous! Anyway, I spoke on the phone to their front office manager and he advised he was aware. I suggested they strongly reconsider their hiring practices and try to look into boosting team morale so they don't pass on their miserable attitude to loyal, paying customers who literally pay to shop there. He expressed they are unfortunately set in their ways and feel untouchable, basically nothing they can do about it! So, this experience confirmed what I've known for years, time to take my business elsewhere. This could've all been avoided if they offered services like Scan and Go and Curbside Pickup like Sam's Club. It turns out it has NO butternut squash, NO Brussel Sprouts, NO canellini beans with NO olive oil and very little herbs. It's two-thirds white potatoes and several carrots slices in each bag with one-third onions, red peppers, kale, and very bland tasting. It is the worst, expensive, "not a" premium vegetable side dish. It's not even a weight loss dish because it's loaded with starchy potatoes. I'm writing upon eating very hard and good ice cream, the ice cream was very good in the moment until I woke up and had food poising leading me to poop approximately 3 times in a hour resulting in my butt hole to burn very bad. We pretty much shop here for everything and this time we wanted to get eye glasses. My wife was really unsure about the styles offered but we came across a pair of Jimmy Choo's in a turtle style that she liked. The design was nice and in the color that she make work. Upon pick up of the glasses the frames were completely different than what we chose. The design now included a bright white in the corner of the frames on both sides. My wife was really disappointed because it isn't cheap and it was already difficult finding a frame she liked. We were told turtle frames are never the same and they were sorry. The problem is we weren't told that prior to purchase. If that had been advised we would not have purchased the frames. We did get offered the display that was damaged at full price...it's really upsetting and disappointing that this information wasn't provided prior to our purchase because now we have more than $200 invested in glasses that she hates... read more
