This December my son wanted a suit for Christmas so we checked out the Arrowhead Towne Center. I decided to try Dillard's first and to move our way through the mall. We roamed around the suits and menswear section in Dillards for quite a while and didn't receive any help or find a suit that would fit him ourselves. There wasn't a soul in sight. We decided to leave and try Macy's or another big department store. We exited Dillard's into the mall. One of the first stores we passed caught my eye as I look towards the right. It said "Nick's Menswear" and it had suits in the window. I was assuming the prices will be higher than Dillard's which were substantially high, but I decided to give it a try. When my son and I walked in, we were greeted by Daniel, who explained all of the different options, and what he thought would be the biggest bang for our buck. He was extremely friendly and helpful. I explained my son was flying out the next day and to my surprise, he said the suit would be ready by that night if we so desired. I was expecting an exorbitant fee for this, but was again surprised that only a $25 rush fee. was added. We found a black suit with Daniel's help, and he proceeded to pin the suit for the tailor to take it. We were told to come back in an hour, and the suit would be ready. There are changing rooms in the back and the sales clerks help hang the suits when customers are exiting the dressing room. We discovered this after we returned once an hour had passed, and a new sales clerk helped my son try on his altered suits, and make sure that it had been hemmed to his specifications. I didn't catch this clerks name, but he was also great and gave such good service. The suit that we chose consisted of a blazer, a vest, and a pair of slacks. The alterations to the trouser were $20 for the hem, $25 for the trouser taper, $20 for the waste, and $30 to bring the sides in of the jackets. In total our bill was $403.92 for a complete suit, altered and hemmed within the hour, and ready for pick up. Let me just say the blazers alone at Dillard's were over $400 and that was not including alterations. On top of this, the service was exemplary. We really enjoyed Daniel's friendly banter and he was dressed to the nines in a very dapper suit with groomed beard and hair and masculine jewelry. One of the fun things about going into this clothing store was that all of the sales clerks were dressed up very nice like this. I will definitely return here first for any additional suits or menswear shopping that I have in the future. I was invited to a black tie wedding and had no appropriate clothing. I went to some stores and ended up at Nick's Menswear in Glendale, AZ (Arrowhead mall). I worked with Aaron Robinson and Jacob Scott and had a wonderful experience. They helped me select a suit within my price range (suit, vest and pants). I just changed jobs and never needed suits before now. Read a ton of stuff on line on what I should have where to shop and it all left me feeling lost and confused. I tried the department stores feeling like the suits in my price range were not very nice and I didn't get any help at all in those stores. I felt intimidated walking into Nicks, that feeling left quickly once I was greeted by Casey the assistant manager He was great, talking me through what I needed and what options he had in different price ranges. Their only saving grace was a girl that works at the Arrowhead location. I didnt catch her name, blonde with glasses. She was polite, cordial, quick, and professional. Everything else went downhill. The first suit I tried on was wrong. Good thing I sent the photo to the groom to have him approve, or they would have given me the wrong suit! 2nd issue was they never mentioned there would be around $100 worth of alteration fees. Not a huge deal, but they should forewarn people of this. Third issue was they never called to inform me the tux was in. It was 4 days before the wedding and I hadnt heard from them, so I called. The tux had arrived, but I had to send someone to pick it up for me. 4th issue was when he picked it up, it had no bowtie! I called and they said they saw the error that had been made, and I would need to come down and pick one out of the 4 shades of blue they had. What the?! No! I called the groom who had to call them and get the correct bowtie laid out for me. Yikes! I also found out that between the Arrowhead and Scottsdale locations, they screwed up 2 other groomsmen's tuxes and ties, also! Not good, guys. Not good. read more

I've bought a total of 3 suits from Nick's and up until my most recent experience, it was pleasant. I am in a wedding and the groom chose Nick's for our suits. I was happy because rather than renting the attire, I could purchase it. Well, that hasn't quite worked out for me thus far. They only sell "slim" fit suits here, and well, I don't quite have the body style for said fit. Not the end of the world, but what's frustrating is when you go to get fitted so they can allegedly order your sizes, and you go to try on the suit and the pants were 2 waist sizes larger than you ordered. Again not the end of the world, however, they conveniently had to alter the waist which wasn't cheap to do, causing the rest of the pants to fit awkwardly. Then, to have them shortened I specifically told them I'd like traditional fit and I don't wear them 3" above my shoes like the hipsters do nowadays. Try them on and what do you know, they're 3" higher than I told them I wanted. So I get them fixed and then come to find out they never even ordered my shoes. So, frantically they are trying to locate a pair for me because when I ordered them originally, they never got there. When you bring up the unpleasant experience to management, they tel you they're just really busy because it's prom season..... cool, thanks for caring. I'd get a suit from goodwill before I go back. If you get the older Russian guy to "help"..... BAIL. He's pushy and makes it apparent they work on commission. read more

This store has some amazing staff!! I came in to look for a suit for my wedding after experiencing a disaster at a Men's Wearhouse where I was ridiculed and fat shamed by the store manager there. The woman who helped us was an absolute joy, she was bubbly and excited to help us find my suit for my big day. Not only was she knowledgeable about the suits, she helped me every step of the way when picking out the suit I would eventually wear on my wedding day. She checked in with me consistently while I was trying different items on, and made note of what I liked and didn't like. Service was as good as it gets. I arrived with the wrong suit for the wrong event as an out of towner. Couldn't have been more of a dummy and had one day until the wedding. As a groomsman, I needed a specific suit configuration and had to wear very exact items. Thankfully all of it was available in-store and they helped me get everything fitted with a rush order so that the next day I was ready to go by the time the afternoon wedding occurred. I went from walking in confident the day before, to almost having a heart attack, to being reassured and rescued and walking out confident again all the same. I was looking at renting a tux at Men's Wearhouse last weekend and I was shocked by the price. $180 for my boyfriend to wear a tux for not even 24 hours?! Absolutely ridiculous. We wandered over to Nicks and definitely were not disappointed. We got help immediately and the salesman was patient with my picky taste in color and fit; he found something that I absolutely adored and fit it to my boyfriends odd shape (long torso, short legs, wide shoulders, small waist is not an easy tailor!) So long story short we box a gorgeous suit: jacket (tailored to him), shirt, pants (tailored to him), shoes, tie and pocket square for a grand total of $220. We did a lot of suit shopping and research before committing. When at a bridal show, I immediately was made comfortable and sold on Nick's Menswear. Nothing could compare!
