For one, let me start by saying that I used to work for Kohl's so I know what their standards are as far as customer service goes and quality of work from their associates. While I was in the store, I saw a total of two p.o.s. associates, one jewelry associate and a manager in the entire store. I couldn't find a single person on the actual floor. Part of their customer service policy is that all associates, including management/supervisors, must "smile and say hi" to every customer that walks by them or even acknowledge the customer in some way. There was a manager/supervisor on the sales floor in the juniors department putting away some merchandise and he didn't even look up at me or even acknowledge me in any way. I also wasn't acknowledged by the p.o.s. associate when I walked in, she just looked up from what she was doing and that was it. While shopping, I was in the shoe department looking for some new running shoes. And I found a pair or New Balance that I liked, but wasn't able to find my size. I walked around the shoe department and looked around in the nearby housewares and mens department and wasn't able to locate a single employee to ask if they could check their stock room to see if they had any back there. Since the only person that I did see on the sales floor was the manager/supervisor I walked up to the department I last saw him and he was no where to be found. So, I ended up finding a different pair in my size. I do like the pair that I found, but had to spend $5 for them all because I couldn't find someone to check if they had any in the back for the ones that I went in there for. Not only that, the department was a complete and total mess. There was shoes and boxes all over the floor and they weren't very organized. It looked as if they just took a bunch of shoes of the same brand and threw them up onto the shelves. The only reason for my two star rating is because of the p.o.s associate that rang up my purchase. She was the only person who acknowledged me while I was in the store. Once when I was walking by her on my way from the women's athletic section to the shoe department and again when I was approaching her to pay from my items. If you want better service and cleaner Kohl's store, I would suggest driving on over the the Kohl's on Elk Grove Blvd and Bruceville. read more

I went here to use a giftcard I had from christmas. The store was so disorganized probably because of everyone rummaging through all the sale and clearance items but I got my boot socks and a track jacket so I am happy. When I checked out at the registered the cashier asked if I wanted to use coupons so next time I plan on going to Kohls I will definitely look around for coupons to see if I can find any. Their clothes aren't really my style so I doubt I would be back here. read more

I never really came here or cared to. Always felt like prices were more than the quality of their products. I still believe that for some items but for others I have learned is not the case. Came here on some recent trips and actually found some steals. Bought 2 pairs of sandals/heels for quite a deal. They also have sales alllll the time which makes prices not so much of an issue. They also have coupons/credits when you spend a certain amount during certain times which is nice. read more

This place is a hit or a miss. It all depends on when you go. I was here a few days ago with my husband and the place was a bit messy but clean at the same time. There were a good amount of customers but by no means busy. Yet, it was lacking employees on the floor. We had to walk around the whole store and thank goodness we ran into Christine. She must be the only employee working on the floor since she was the same employee that helped my husband find a couple of items we needed about a month ago. They really need to add more employees on the floor! Anyways, she just finished with a customer in the makeup area and walked with us to the kiosk to help us order some items and thankfully she said she saw the kids dresses we wanted in store and went to check the sizes, came back and gave it to us. She didn't want us to walk back and forth and told us to wait. She is so considerate. I really appreciated the effort she put in. I am confused as to why I wasn't able to order the dresses for pick up if they had it in store. They need to update their system! If it wasn't for Christine, I would have given this place a 4 stars but she put in too much effort to not give full stars. read more

Waited patiently in the jewelry dept to pay for my one piece of jewelry meanwhile a woman with a heaping cart of clothes and a loud mouth summoned the clerk to ring her up so she didnt have to wait in the regular lines. I tried to purchase a ring online that was $400 cheaper along with their codes, which made it $700 cheaper and it didn't go through, so I contacted Customer Service and was told to try to purchase it again. By this time, I was only going to save $500. I did just that. It didn't go through again, so I contacted them again. Whoever the hell the guy was, he told me to go to one of their locations and purchase it there by letting them know which ring it was online. I did that, but when I told them, they had no idea what I was talking about and didn't understand why that guy would tell me to do that. I even talked to the manager! No idea still. They told me to go online to purchase it if it's online and even after explaining it to them, they didn't know how to fix this. I decided to just go chat with Customer Service again and this time, whoever the hell that lady was, told me the same thing... Even after I explained everything to her! The ring is now only $300 cheaper. I have had enough by this time, so I just said forget it. When I received an email to leave feedback, all I could do was talk a lot of sh-t to them. They emailed me back to see what they can do to fix this and I was already done. Time ran out and the ring is back to its expensive price. I was not going to pay that price for such bad services. I wasn't going to pay a penny. Not even if it was free! I told them to never email me with their crap again and just close my account. That was the first and last time I've ever shopped at Kohl's. First and last time creating an account there too. No wonder there are so many closing down. They're just horrible at their services! And... Hello everyone, I would like to tell my experience shopping at kohls. I have never had any issues at kohls that I can remember any ways. I was shopping with my son and he picked out some shoes that I decided to buy too. The woman at the register told me she could get me 40% off the shoes if I got a kohls credit card. When I qualified, she said sorry, the 40% doesn't apply for these shoes. I was hustled!!!!!!! I should of asked for the manager but there was a big line forming and felt bad for holding up the line, witch wasn't my fault. I will cancel the card when I receive the card. This Kohl's on Calvine has the most incompetent and ignorant staff I've ever seen. I shop at Kohl's quite often and I've never really had a complaint until today. I always have their coupon on my phone/email just in case they ask for it but they usually don't ask me for it and just give me a discount automatically. That's why I love shopping at Kohl's! Well today the Indian lady with the really curly hair didn't apply any coupons for me. She only asked me if I had a charge card. I said no. Then I told her I think I have a rewards account with them for points but she has to look it up using my phone number. She looks it up then asks me if I want to open a charge card with them to save some 30% or something like that and I said no because I'm done with credit cards. I only spend my Kohl's Cash which I could not use until Monday. She said something again but I could not understand because she was speaking so fast and whispering...I could make out she was talking about the credit card...so I just said, "Next time." Then I realized I have a coupon for 15% off for today and showed it to her but she gave me my receipt and said it's too late she already rung me up and just stood there handing me my receipt and staring at me like I should get the hell out of there. Then she has the audacity to say I should have told her I have a coupon when she was ringing me up. I had one item and I was so busy answering her questions I didn't realize she was done and I did not even get reminded to use any coupons. The least she could do is say politely that I can return the item to customer service in the back of the store and re-purchase the item with the coupon but instead she just stands there staring at me and handing me my receipt. So I just politely said, "Oh, I'll just return it to the back and come back." But I left the store without the discount. Damn greedy ass b*tch. Why the hell would I walk all the way to the back of the store to save $4.95 after all was said and done. Why do people act like giving someone a few dollars discount is like taking money out of their damn salary? And let me not forget to mention that before I left the store and was waiting in line at checkout, a woman entered the store with a Kohl's bag, upset because the cashier made some mistake with her transaction earlier. The cashier was busy helping another customer so all she did was roll her eyes and told the cashier behind her to call someone to help the customer. All she had to do was say, "I'll be right with you ma'am." Or tell her nicely to wait in line. I get the customer was just inside the store and needs to wait in line behind me and others but the workers here need to brush up on the way they speak to their customers. Quit hiring old incompetent women with no fashion sense and maybe you'll do a better job with customers at this location. Just sayin'. read more

I hate Kohls! Their aisles are cluttered with employees stockng items. Their clothes are cheap! Their return policy's are ridiculous! If you pay half store credit and half credit card, they will make you bring every item in the store in order to receive credit on your credit card, otherwise they will give you store credit. Ridiculous!! I don't want to shop at your store!!! Nordstrom does not operate this way they have much more class. Thanks for the inconvenience Kohls now I will never shop at your store again. Really Customer Service guy!? Did you really just hint that I probably stole everything that my MIL gave to my son that was 2 sizes too big that I was returning it all for store credit??? I couldn't tell if you were joking or being serious! If you were joking, it was a bad joke, and since I've worked retail before, I know it was also very inappropriate. If you were being serious, shame on you, and if I was your manager, I would have written you up for talking to a customer like that. Aside from this guy, the store was mostly well organized, except for the very picked over boys sleepwear section where items were not even in sets anymore. SO FRUSTRATING! 'Tis the season though, this is why I hate shopping during the holidays. They do have cool electronic pricng displays which have replaced about 90% of the signage, I thought that was interesting. And they were well-staffed up front to keep the long line moving. It's nice to get those 10 dollar coupons for anything in the store (for free in the paper). I think the lines are sometimes a very long wait, perhaps when they do promotions. They also have a rewards program/membership card that you might want to look into. read more

I used to like shop at Kohls in the store and also order a lots online for the home items and kids clothes. I didn't have any bad experience until I had to return my kids clothes today 12/18 at 8:43 p.m. because they don't fit them, but the store doesn't have other size available for exchange. I went with my family to Kohls for memorial weekend and decided to use the two $10 off coupons that we received through the mail, but when going to use them while paying, the cashier told us that we couldn't use both of them in one transaction. We asked if we could use them in two separate transactions and she silently separated our purchases along with the coupons, but when we went to make our second payment with the coupon she rudely responded with, "I'm not going to let you use this coupon unless your husband is here with you," since it was a "one per customer" policy. "Aright then," I thought, "I'll just give my daughter her money I'm holding for her so she can pay as a separate customer." When she went to go pay the cashier again rudely responded with, "I'm not going to let you use the coupon because I saw your mom just give you that money." Not being allowed to use two coupons in one transaction because of the whole "one coupon per customer" policy was fine, but the fact that the cashier objected in the rudest way possible to allowing us to pay separately because I gave my daughter money is beyond ridiculous. When we asked to see the manager, she gave a very sarcastic smile saying "Of course I can get him," and called over a man named Luis. Being the manager, we expected Luis to explain why we couldn't use the coupons and why it wasn't alright for my daughter to pay separately despite me having handed her money, but instead, he decided to repeat in a condescending tone, "Ma'am you're hurting our business," and how the cashier was correct. I should have asked him that if we were in fact hurting their business why would send us two coupons in the first place? To top it off, these two were not being at all quiet as they were talking extremely loud to the point where the other customers began to look over to see the drama going on over at our station. We've been shopping at Kohls for years now, and this is the worst service we've ever encountered yet. This was a humiliating experience and it basically felt like we were being accused of trying to cheat the system to get a better deal. In the end, we left humiliated, out of energy, and had to leave more than half of our purchases behind. They actually don't even deserve a star. I asked for help after searching for a toothbrush by myself for 20 minutes while workers stared at me while just passed by. Then finally a worker passed and I asked for help but told me to wait since he passed me along to someone else, I waited 20 more minute until another worker passed and she told me she'll call for help. She didn't apologize for the wait or anything. I was actually grateful though since someone helped me until I watched her go along the aisles looking around and dropping papers for like ten minutes. Then she had the nerves to pass me and told me to excuse her while she looked for sale tags and that she didn't call for help yet because she was too busy. She finally used the intercom to try to get some help on my aisle. I waited for like 15 minutes no one came until another lady worker who was fixing razors. I asked for help and she did. But she told me she wasn't in charge of the department. After waiting another 15 she told me she can't find anything and if I wanted to know if they got in stock in different stores I have to wait at the customer service. I waited in customer service for 20 minute and no surprise they had none anywhere close to me! All 6 stores were out of stock. Plus another item I had too! Wasted so much of my time! Thanks for nothing and enjoy my rant because I won't ever bother coming to this store again. Rude customer service, no help , long waits for no reason and just a time waste! I went in today to get a pair of booties I found online that was only available at this particular Kohl's. As I was paying for it, the cashier told me that if I signed up for the rewards card (and it's free), I would get 25% off, and it would just take a minute. Of course I jumped on and began completing my name, number, email, etc. AND THEN, it asked for my social security number. I looked at her confused and asked why they were asking for that because a rewards card should NOT even ask for that information. I began thinking she was lying to me that it was a rewards card and was trying to get me to apply for the store credit card. I get it that cashiers need to get a certain amount of people to apply for a store credit card, but TO LIE ABOUT that it was the rewards card is just pushing the line. I said to the cashier, "You said this was for the rewards card right? Why is it asking for this information? Is this for the store credit card?" She looked at me a bit dumbfounded and then said that it was for the store credit card. I told her I just wanted to pay for the booties -- I didn't want a credit card. I was VERY UPSET that someone would lie to me to sign on for a rewards system when it was really for the store credit card. I mean, really?
