Very clean store. Professional staff. Meets franchise standards and has good parking.

My favorite store in town. Unfortunately that's not saying much and I am not the only one. The coupons and sales are great! Down sides- Digging through things that haven't been put back where they belong, cosmetics section is always a mess and the check out lines are always too long. Like all other kohls stores, this place is very inexpensive place to shop. I love finding great deals here, and the items seem to last a long time. How can you go wrong with less than 5 dollars for clothes on their sale rack? I buy pretty much everything here if I'm not at Target, stylish items and they do not cost an arm and a leg. Just plain horrible! I have been there lots of times with my mom and it is just plain horrible. the cloths there are cheap quality they rip so easily. all of there cloths is just scattered around everywhere. i found a pair of mens underwear in the boys section. i also found a pair of shoes next to the watches. they have bad customer service and bad display of there product. the quality of the clothing is bad there rip within the first two or three days. the clothing there is to expensive for the quality of the clothing. when you wash the cloths they get fadded right away which means you have to go to buy another shirt. there shoes are not well put together they fall apart after a couple a weeks after you buy them. they are ecpesially not good brands they are very cheap compared to other stores products. this is the worst place to go because there are always little kids running around everywhere. the kids are also always crying to there parents to get them toys or a cool shirt that they saw on the self or that there friends told them about. the majority of people in santa maria do not like shopping there because of the cheap quality of the cloths and the bad service. read more

I love their clothes, household goods, linens, small furniture etc. I feel they carry nice quality items at very reasonable prices. However, the store is usually a mess. I actually feel so sorry for their employees as it is an uphill battle to keep the store picked up. It really is the clientele of Santa Maria; they treat this store and every other store like a thrift store on a 50% off day. They shop with large groups of kids who run around pulling clothes off hangers, jumping on displays etc. I saw one little girl pulling shoes out of boxes and throwing them all over the place. Her mother thought it was adorable. When I have a lot to buy, gifts etc, I travel to San Luis Obispo. read more

I have a feeling that those who have posted negative reviews about this store have only visited once. As a customer who makes a purchase here 2-3 times per month, I have to say they are mostly incorrect. Yes, there are times when the lines are long and there is clothing piling up in the fitting rooms, but that's just what happens in a very busy store. For the most part, the store is clean and organized. I've never encountered a rude sales person. They have a great selection and great prices, and no one beats their coupon deals, cardholder bonuses, and Kohl's cash. If you live in this area, Kohl's is one of your better bets. Try visiting Sears or Macy's and you may agree. I also want to ask the negative reviewer who stated that this store is messy because of its typical Santa Maria clientele, if she was referring to herself. Seems this person may have issues with something other than Kohl's. I have issues with aspects that are actually within the control of the store such as customer service, selection, and prices. Kohl's does not control who visits their store. And SM Kohl's...if you're reading this...you really need to do something about the shoe department. I do agree with the negative reviews in this area. I really like shopping at Kohl's because they ALWAYS have sales and I can find cute clothes for cheap. BUT, the store in Santa Maria is always a mess! I have been at Kohl's many times and have always been impressed by the service, deals, ambiance, and great offers. The clothing lines there are chic and always up to date. As a writer for the Seventeen magazines I am always caught up on what is in and Kohl's always carries the most fashion forward clothing lines there is. Clothing lines like Vera Wang, Lauren Conrad, Jennifer Lopez, Apt 9, Marc Anthony, the list continues! There is something for everyone to teens, kids, men and women. I've had a lot of personal experience in fashion and the only place I trust to do all my apparel shopping at is Kohl's. Whenever I need assistance the workers there are always friendly and truly helpful on assisting you. Kohl's has always given me the best service and it has always been a pleasure to shop there. From the moment I walk in I am warmly welcomed and greeted by the employees. Everyone is eager to help you. The lighting is beautiful and the clothes look like its straight from the run away. The dressing rooms give you the feeling of getting ready for a fashion show as you try on the clothes. The three sixty mirrors show every aspect of the clothes flattering your body. The long wide platforms in the store make you feel unstoppable as if walking down the run away. You can't help but to feel important in the dressing rooms when the employee asks if everything was ok or if you need something else to try on. From the moment you step in to the moment you try on your new clothes at home you feel pampered like a princess without having to spend like one! Kohl's has a huge selection of perfumes, all have a unique scent. Whether you like smelling like sweet strawberries or like sensual amber you are sure to leave smelling equally wonderful. What's amazing about Kohl's is that you can get all the top of the line clothes at reasonable and affordable prices that won't make you wallet cry or end you up on "what not to wear." I know times are tough now a days and often we have to settle for less. It is not common to find good deal and actually get what you pay for in stores. Not to mention sometimes things can be pricey and be no good at all. It is almost impossible to stay trendy without spending a little fortune due to trends always changing! This place has changed! Been shopping here for a few years. It is incredibly cleaner than I have ever seen it. It's busier than the San Luis store but seems to carry more as well. The last few trips very few lines and the shoe department was great! Elizabeth was wonderful and made my day when she found the shoes in my size. I was here on 11/29/13 on Black Friday. The prices were the same as Macy's, with the quality of items being less than desirable. The store was understaffed for such a big sales day. All of the customers were complaining about the service. There was an announcement that if customers were in line before 1 pm, they would receive the sales prices. The cashiers refused to give this discount, even though we were in line by 12:55 and waited an hour to be rung up. There were also very few employees on the floor to help find items and/or straighten up. The store looked like it hadn't been cleaned up for days. That may be due to Black Friday, however, all of the other stores that I had been to that day looked presentable to customers and were overstaffed. read more

I have been to this store twice once to buy a skirt for FFA and second to buy a bachelorette gift! This store is always clean and tidy I went at night and it wasn't as bad during the day! When you go to a clothing store in the morning your in the means for employees cleaning last nights mess! I used to work in fast food! And people are slobs, you can't put the food to your mouth, control your children ! When your are in the drive thru be ready to Order ! Don't get mad because we are taking so long it's not our fault you took forever to order.
