I frequent this location for Amazon returns more than anything and I have to say that aside from the lines that can sometimes frustrate me this location has been pretty solid. The return counter have been very friendly and helpful with my returns and exchanges. Even with the return location moving within the store the employees are helpful in letting me know where it can be located. read more

Kohl's has become known as one of the best places to get name brand clothes for very cheap. Not only is a bunch of items usually on sale, they also send out coupons weekly in the mail. If you have the credit card the coupons you get are a little better than the ones that are mass mailed. I usually go a quick walk through of the clothes and then head to the jewelry department and finish in the fragrance section. I have never left the store empty handed. Ican not believe that man in the shoe department (Paul) at the Whittier store felt it was ok to yell at my girls because they pushed a few shoe boxes back about an once from the front of the shelf. May i add i was 3 steps away from them helping my mom get shoes on. By the time i realized why he yelled at them my 7 year old was crying. After helping my mom get her shoes back on i went to let him know it wasn't ok to speak to kids that way and that he had made her cry. He gets closer to me and says you didn't hear them? No dude there was NOTHING to hear. I'm a pretty strict mom and don't let my kids run around, horse around in stores. As i see his name and let him know i will be talking to management he starts following me asking my name...um no buddy you need not know that. I was so upset i was shaking. Thank you for your response. At least the manager can receive some training and say, "I'm sorry, we are not able to verify the bill at this time therefore cannot accept it," and be honest with customers rather than take the bill, pretend to examine it, and say, "We cannot take the bill because we don't have change for it." I don't see how examining a large bill helps to determine if you have enough change or not. That response may work for someone with the intelligence of the manager, but for others, it is insulting. read more

I was surprised to see such a big Kohls with such a large variety of items. The place was clean (even the bathrooms hehe) and you can look around for hours because of all the different items. Kohl's always has good sales and coupons, so please search for coupons before shopping. Also their app is very useful. This location I would come back to for its cleanliness and stock of items. The people working within the store did not talk to any customers though, nor asked them if they need any help. But the cashier was friendly. So, overall, yes I will be back! read more

So it's a long story but my license was not valid because it expired. I wanted to use my Kohl's charge to get 30% off. Even though I had my passport I still could not use my charge card because the sales associate must be able to scan your ID. The manager went above and beyond! She called Kohl's headquarters to verify and allowed me to get the 30% off. Awesome! read more

Just got back from kohls and the service is terrible. I found a pair of pants in the clearance and there was no clearance ticket on the tag. There was tons of jeans on sale so I ask the girl who is working in the department putting clothing back on the racks and she tells me to look for the same jeans and take it to the cashier, I thought why didn't she just take out a PDA or whatever they call them and check the price for me or make sure it was on clearance?! BTW this kohls never has anything and looks sloppy. I don't think I will ever come to this kohls again read more

Never really thought much about kohls until my hubby asked if I cared to joined him for some shopping, I said, sure why not I could use the exercise to help with recovery, I hope. I beelined to the clearance section where I was able to find some good deals for me including blouse, hopeful bday dress and active wear. the store was clean and organized, there was also plenty of parking. The cash register persona was very friendly, explained the rewards program and gave us a shot at the discount for 30% off, which was rare to my understanding, which we got. We got major savings. I walked out like a winner even he was just coming to score some tshirts and pants. I came away with a brunch on clearance stuff....on his card . Hehe read more

Went to purchase a men's Suit. I was there around for 20 minutes. Had several questions to ask. Didn't see no sales representative around to answer my questions. I walked around the different areas of the store, no one around except for the employees working the register. Went to the jewelry department, the lady got in her radio and call for help. You can get a great deal if you have the patience to shop the sale racks. I wasn't overly impressed by the store but also have no huge complaints. My husband always finds some clothes he likes but the shoe selection is defiantly lacking. read more

Excellent and friendly employees working here at this location, although very slow at check out and only have 2 checkers in the whole store with like 20 people in line. Always have a good variety when looking for something particular better than most I would say. If the other kohls doesn't have it this one probably does. Small girls department though and everything was very unorganized an messy due to great savings. read more

I am not a fan of Kohls at all. I feel that their sales, are just marketing gimmicks to attract customers, and you really are not saving money. last time I went I paid 60$ for a pair of levis which I think is a bit too pricey, since I went their three months ago and paid a little more than half that. Overall the selection is moderate and the employees are friendly, but I would suggest that you go to H&M or Tjmaxx instead of Kohls, they have better selection and price read more

I love kohls I have a credit card and boy do I use it!. But my experience today was less than thrilling. My friend and I went in to purchase some items for my new home. Our shopping experience was fine but when we walked up to purchase the two women working met us with a unfriendly attitude as if we ruined their day/ conversation. As I was looking for a coupon one of the ladies said there wasn't any right now since everything was already on sale. One of the rugs I purchased was on sale but she insisted it was not, it wasn't a huge difference but she made me feel like an idiot for asking. Anyway I just hope Managment gets a moment to read this and maybe give the employees a pep talk. I'd hate to stop shopping at my local kohls just because of the employees attitude . read more

Horrible customer service. There are never enough registers open. Customers wait in line over 10 to 15 minutes and the people at the registers take longer to check out. I walked around the entire downstairs looking for help and found not a single worker. There is never anyone to help in the men's department. Waited 30 minutes in Line before walking out. This one star review is not for the store but for a manager by the name of Shelly. I'm not sure where she got her customer service skills from but they are severely lacking in compassion and understanding. My friend/roommate was recently in a very bad accident that left her hospitalized for a few days. Since she is a long time patron of Kohls she ordered some pillows online that would be ready to be picked up to make her recovery at home more comfortable. She emailed me the receipt and asked me to get them as she wasn't released from the hospital and cannot drive for awhile. I go to pick them up, can see them sitting at the customer service desk, and am informed that I can't take them. I guess my friend didn't see the option box to write if someone else could get them. But since I have the receipt I didn't see the problem and explained the situation. The sales associate was contemplating giving them to me since I had all the right information when Shelly swooped in and rudely informed me that my friend would have to pick them up in person. I told her the situation and how she was in the hospital. She said "It doesn't matter where she is, she has to be here in person to get them. She should have wrote that you would pick them up. I can't help you." No sympathy, no apology for store procedures. Nothing. I have been in a customer service role for nearly 10 years and I know that that is not proper behavior from any sales associate let alone a manager. So if anyone needs help from Shelly, good luck. I really miss Mervyn's. I hate the floorplan in the Whittier Kohl's. It is a big messy maze. I hate it. I avoid it at all costs. The escalators are still in the middle of the store, but they make sure you have to walk through an obstacle course to get to them. It is the most horribly confusing thing I have ever seen. It is not user friendly at all. I will take Sears any day over Kohl's. You guys keep going there. That leaves more for me at Sears. read more
