During my meal I found out that the restaurant recently went through ownership and kitchen changes so what I was tasting were new. Once again - this place hit the spot for our quick Sushi go-to. This place makes some killer hiBalls, I highly recommend if you plan to dabble in some draaanks! I will say the day we went service was a bit slow and our food came out at very different times which was a bit awkward. We came around 9pm and I didn't get my food until around 10:20 while some of the others already got their food and finished eating it. Might've been just that night but a little strange. The seating consists of wooden tables with benches or wooden booth-like seating. The lighting is pretty dim overall which creates a cozy environment. There are some decorations that are more Japanese-based but I will say that there is some Korean influence as demonstrated by the music and overall feel of the place (which makes sense because it is in K-Town). There is also seating that is more private in these rooms that are blocked off by short curtains. SERVICE Service was great! They were quick and attentive to our needs. Super friendly and food came out very fast. As we left, they thanked us for coming. They were also serving a special grand opening lunch menu with great prices for the quality and amount of food! I ordered the tonkatsu curry and was served a paper thin pork cutlet and with curry that tasted like it was from a packet with no vegetables. I get the economy is bad but this was inexcusable to serve at the same price of a decent tonkatsu curry. I have had may tonkatsu within my life and yes they are often served thin but never this thin and without veggies. It was not the serving staff's fault and I appreciate that I wasn't charged for the tonkatsu that wasn't worth wasting my calories count.
