My partner and I went here for a weeknight dinner. I got the shoyu ramen and my partner got the hakata tonkotsu ramen. My shoyu ramen was very good, wonderful broth, great noodles and bamboo shoots, and a very flavorful soft boiled egg. The chashu was fairly small, but it was still a great bowl. My partner's tonkotsu was not as good as the shoyu. Nothing stood out as bad, but the broth was weak and the fungus was mediocre. It did have a very generous amount of chashu. The service was great and the atmosphere was impeccable. I will likely return. read more

I visited on a Sunday evening, and there was only one other group of customers. This location is noticeably smaller than their others. There were two waitstaff and one cook. We were seated quickly, and our waters were brought out right away. However, the menu here is different from the other locations I've been to, so I recommend checking it before you come if you're expecting specific dishes. They were also out of some of their noodles. We placed our order, and the karaage salad arrived first within about 10 minutes. Sadly, the ramen came out almost 30 minutes later and wasn't plated cleanly. There was broth all over the edge of the bowl, and I even think the server's finger was in the broth when she dropped it off. Additionally, the ramen was missing the egg, and the noodles were overcooked. One of the waitstaff seemed to be the only one actually working, as he was helping about 95% of the customers in the restaurant. Came here on a Sunday for lunch and got seated immediately. They had so many good options for ramen so I ordered the shio ramen. It came out really fast and was so good! This used to be my favorite place. I come here often but lately they have been skimpy with the broth in the Spicy Chicken Tan Tan Dish. So last time I ask for extra broth and the waiter brought out an extra cup without hesitation. Today I asked for additional broth, she asked whether I wanted clear broth or the broth that comes with the dish. I wanted the broth that comes with the dish and she says it will be an extra charge. Had a great experience at Kizuki! The ramen was absolutely delicious--rich, flavorful, and satisfying. I went with family, and we each tried a different broth. Across the board, everyone agreed: it was amazing. The servers were friendly, attentive, and checked in often to make sure we were doing well. That said, a few items were unavailable during our Sunday evening visit, including the pork belly, which was a bit disappointing. I also wish the bowls came with a bit more broth by default, we ended up ordering an extra serving for $4. Arrived around 5 PM on a Wednesday night. There was absolutely no weight and we were able to be seated right away as there were plenty of open tables. Our server while attentive didn't really seem fully interested in us and really felt more like it was just going through the process. Didn't necessarily bother us as we were both in incredibly tired and really just wanted to get food and leave. I got the chicken Ramen, and we got a order of the potstickers to share. The potstickers while they are small, really like that they got the nice crisp on the bottom of it so when you've been into it, you got a little crunched to go with it. Flavor was excellent. Everything we ordered for lunch was delicious. It was so good my daughter asked to go back for dinner, so we did. The kaarage was delicious. The texture was not as fluffy and smooth as the traditional kaarage I've had in Japan but the flavor was, it took me back to Japan. The gyoza and ramen were delish. A nice big serving. I like that you can add toppings or substitute your egg for more protein such as the pork. When we returned for dinner we had the wings and ice cream along with the above and it was great. The menu is extensive, with options for both vegans and vegetarians. Our server was awesome and did a great job accommodating my request to have garlic in the broth. Use Google Maps. It is right next to Starbucks. Once you are inside, the experience is totally worth it. The staff gave some of the best customer service I have had in a long time, especially the manager Michael who was very welcoming and attentive. Firstly, I am amazed by their ambiance and price. It's a beautiful ramen place here in Plano. I ended up ordering a spicy ramen along with kimchi and fried pork dumplings after deep thinking. It took a bit to get the ordered food and the order of the food could've been different. I got the Ramen and kimchi first and after a while they brought the fried pork dumplings. I will say the day we went it was cold and raining outside and it was super cold inside the restaurant, that my husband and I didn't take off our jackets. By far my favorite ramen spot! I actually am not a ramen person but I realized I just haven't had good ramen. This is by far the most authentic tasting ramen I've had. We ordered the tonkatsu shoyu ramen, onigiri bonito, pork gyoza, chicken chasu don, and tsukemen tonkotsu (dipping noodles). Place was set up with Japanese vibes, and at the moment they partnered or did some type of collaboration with Attack On Titans theme when we went. Service was great. Ordered yuzu shio ramen, shoyu ramen (low sodium option for both) & karaage for dinner. Food was good & it's great to have a low sodium option but the upcharges are a bit pricey. Service is where they get docked. Karaage appetizer came out halfway thru the main. Yes, it does take a while for karaage but at least wait to put in the main order after the appetizer. Our server looked new to the job & dropped off the food incorrectly in front of each person but the yuzu taste allowed us to figure out who ordered what. The clincher was when Michael showed up at our table & asked if he could close out our tab & clear the dishes. Yes, we're almost done but I'm still trying to finish slurping up the rest of my yuzu broth. I can only assume he was the manager on duty, since this was the only interaction we had with him during the entire meal. I ordered their most popular dish -- the Garlic Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen ($14.80) with the "Less Sodium" option. The broth had a nice smooth consistency with a rich and savory taste to it. I honestly did not taste much garlic, and I think the scallions had more of an impact, in a good way. The scallions, bamboo shoots, bean sprouts, and seaweed were all quite flavorful, and I think that their portions were fair. I especially liked the noodles as they were the right amount of chewy, and they soaked up a lot of the broth. Even though this restaurant prides itself on the broth (and it really was quite good), I think the noodles stood out the most to me. The texture was at the right firmness and chewiness without overdoing it. My only issue with the meal was with the pork as it was quite dry and did not have as much flavor as the rest of the meal. The broth was rich & savory, the pork was super tender & my soft boil egg was cooked to perfection. We received complimentary dessert so I ordered the strawberry wafer sandwich.
