I absolutely love these tofu buns! Only place I can find them is Koi. I usually order for pickup. Priced at about 4 each and sold 2 as an order.

I probably would rate this place 3.5 out of 5 if possible. First off the server was extremely nice and I have no problem with the service, the place is clean and the interior while small, is very cute. I know the reviews are raving but I found the food very average. My boyfriend got the bulgogi yutari bowl and said it was pretty good. I got the Osaka namba roll and thought it was pretty good just kind of small for a $16 special roll. Lastly we got the $10 pork buns which is already pretty steep for pork buns and they were subpar. Just very eh. They were also the smallest buns I have EVER had. And I've had many! Overall it's a cute place with nice workers but very average slightly overpriced food

I've been wanting to have some food from here since I saw the menu that someone left at work. Today was the day. I didn't know there wasn't any indoor seating at this time, so I ended up just bringing food back with me to work. After a look over the menu I ordered a "YUTARI BOWL" which to me was essentially a poke bowl. You were able to pick your base of greens or rice and protein. Included toppings were seaweed salad, crab, lettuce, edamame and crunch. I was able to chose between lemon soy or siracha aioli. There was a ton of choices for proteins; tuna and salmon, eel, tuna, salmon, beef, chicken, spicy pork, pork, veggies. I went with tuna & salmon, brown rice and siracha aioli as my choices. It was a very filling and flavorful lunch! It wasn't a long wait for take out either. I did have some time to look over the menu, and I will be ordering from here again. Although my order was take out, service was friendly. The bowl was a little on the pricy side in my opinion at $16...but the quality was amazing.

Tried delivery from here and it was great! It came in a timely manner and the time as expected upon ordering. The food was one of the freshest I've had. The kani salad was fresher than any others that I have had at neighboring/my usual sushi restaurants. The rolls that I ordered were delicious and extremely fresh. Very pleased. This may become my new go-to for takeout/delivery.

You cannot dine in this restaurant since Covid-19 but we decided to order a large platter for take out lunch at work. The restaurant is pretty small and no one was over-friendly. Nothing really wowed me as far as choices went either. It was a large platter but the rolls are pretty small with not much to them. Masa in Babylon is to me the superior sushi place in my area. Would much rather sit and eat there and have that great Japanese experience.

Fell off, still do not do dine in which is ridiculous, you are a Main Street establishment. Ordered sashimi and it was still frozen. This was the beef "fried rice" ... it was just white rice with a touch soy. I also ordered a bunch of rolls and the spicy crab had so many shells in it, couldn't even eat it. Not the 5 star restaurant it used to be. Never returning, waste of $100.

I ordered takeout from here twice recently and it was delicious! Their soba noodles might be the best I've ever had...however the tofu. Where is the tofu? It just tasted like strips of deep fried nothing. It was all breading. Lightly fried tofu cubes would be much better!! But the noodles made up for it. I just ate around it. My daughter loved her noodles with the chicken. The cucumber avocado roll and shrimp tempura were delicious. I love their mango aioli sauce. The shrimp fried rice was also really good. Besides the tofu, everything else was incredible and when I'm in the area I'll definitely be back!

Came all the way over here to realize that it's take out only. We lived pretty far and the employees were nice enough to let us sit by the counter on the side to eat our dinner. The food was amazing and fresh and made pretty quick. Service was great and the staff was so friendly. The bombs were the main reason i wanted to try this place and it did not disappoint. They were so full of flavor. The tuna buns where good and a lot bigger than we expected. The pork fried rice tasted great and so full of flavor. Gave us the hibachi taste. My son wanted the chicken ramen which he enjoyed. He wish it came with more egg tho. Overall we will be back to order again!

I was previously at koiKKR after a weekend outing in LI. We weren't looking for sushi, but had a hankering for Japanese bites and hot foods, and was told they have an extensive menu. We did end up ordering one of the specialty rolls towards the end of the meal, and it was delish. It was topped with tuna and salmon, and had a pretty name but forgotten. Their buns are very popular, seen at other tables in many variations. We tried the Pork Belly and Crispy Chicken buns, tasty morsels reminiscent of ones you'd find at popular Japanese restaurants in Manhattan. Also had the Chicken Kaarage with Sirachi aioli over rice, which was a homey tasting Japanese-style rice bowl. The kaarage was similar to the ones in their buns, crispy and tender. Yakisoba Noodles with beef was also a nice dish, stir-fried with a slight char and good flavors. Will come back if I'm along this way, and actually check out their sushi/sashimi, but don't miss the rest of their menu!

Are they open for indoor dining again?

They have done away with indoor dining. They rearranged the whole place and now it is takeout only.

    Is there early bird?

    None that I have seen.

    Are the owners Japanese?

I've heard they're half Japanese, half Korean

Much like other places in this genre, one price gets you bottomless apps, salads, hibachi, sushi and more. Nothing I had tasted bad in any way, but there were some things I wasn't crazy about, and they all reeked of cheaping out. First, sashimi is an upcharge, a bit ridiculous in my book. And while the food was indeed tasty, there was a whole lot of filler and minimal seafood much of the time. Kani salad was almost entirely cucumber & tempura flakes, very little crab to be found. And this is the first time I've ever seen soft shell crab served chopped up - typically a spider roll for example is a nice size piece of it in there, but their 'jimmy roll' whatever crab may have been in there was minced to the point where you couldn't even taste it. While I didn't order hibachi I noticed that they limit you to one order from that column per person. The Little things like this made the experience feel cheapened, I'd rather they raise the cost a buck or two and stop with the upcharges and corner cutting, makes you feel a lot less ripped off. Also important to note - skip they white tuna, they're using escolar. You've been warned. Would I come back? If in the area with a group that wanted to go here, sure. But I definitely wouldn't go out of my way for it or even choose to dine here on my own again.

The atmosphere is cozy casual, making it the perfect place to go to with family and friends or on date night. The decor was beautiful; I really liked the consistent use of their logo, proudly illuminated at all the tables, which gave the space a sophisticated appearance. Even the menus were nicely done. I found myself gazing at the pictures instead of picking out my meal. To start we ordered the Japanese Clear Soup and the King's Treasure Roll. Both starters were delicious. The soup was served hot, lightly seasoned, and it really felt like comfort in a bowl. The treasure roll was good; we just had a hard time trying to pick it up with the chopsticks, as it was very slippery. With a little patience, we managed to get it. For beverages, we went with the Blueberry Lemonade and Virgin Mojito. Although both were decent, they were a little underwhelming and could've used more flavor. Next time, I might just order the Pineapple or Mango Virgin Mojito to see if it's any better. Our Entrees were great. My husband ordered the Spicy Crabmeat Crusted Filet Mignon, and he demolished it. I chose to go with two specialty rolls, The American Dream Roll and Rock N Roll, both fantastic. For dessert, we chose the Matcha Cheesecake and the 3 Flavor Tempura Ice Cream (vanilla, chocolate, and green tea). The cheesecake itself didn't have a strong Matcha taste, but that matcha ice cream was all the way IT! I could've had a bowl of that and been very satisfied. Really, their ice cream game is solid, so good! Lastly, our server Nicole was the cherry on top. She was so welcoming and attentive, offering suggestions, and providing descriptions of the menu items, she never made us feel bad for asking "What's That". All in all, we had an awesome experience at Takumi and look forward to visiting again.

The fritto misto appetizer is outstanding, perfect for 2-4 people. Also had to try the oysters Rockefeller which are always delicious. My first visit (NYE '26) they had octopus on their specials menu. I PRAY they bring it back because it was memorable, even 6 months later. My first visit I tried the barramundi which, at the time was a special menu item. It seems they added it to the Mains but with a different preparation.
