What a cute gem of a restaurant! I was looking for party platters. For myself. Don't judge, I can eat and sometimes I just want to pig out on a platter alone. After some trial and error I found Ichiban and I'm so glad I did. The food is amazing, the price is reasonable and it was presented nice. Instructions were followed and it was promptly ready. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Their front parking lot is very small but it's the only "negative" I can think of. I'll definitely be a regular here. Well done! read more

She ordered shrimp tempura and chicken tempura. She said it was good. Lunch special comes with miso soup and salad. Miso soup was just okay. Salad was basic...but the ginger dressing was a little watery. I also ordered pork gyoza. Again, just okay. When I went in to pick it up staff was standing around watching whatever was on TV. I have been a regular customer of Ichiban Sushi for a long time. Today I was terribly disappointed by what I believe is a cost cutting attempt by them. All portions were reduced by 40-50%! They have cool seats for larger groups by the windows and you take off your shoes and sit on pillows with your own door that slides back and forth for privacy. I come here a lot, hibachi service you can watch make your sushi at, I eat a teriyaki combination every time and they know my order every time. Very nice staff and welcoming. This is an excellent sushi restaurant. There are private rooms available where the doors slide and you can sit on cushions. That alone makes this a great a date night spot. The Groupons available are excellent deals. I came here with a party of four and the Groupon was for $80 worth of sushi. We ordered a love boat and it was excellent. Probably one of the best Japanese meals I have ever had. Husband had the general chicken and vegetable pad Thai , delicious! I had the Shrimp and vegetable Curry Thai, omg outstanding. We sat in a lovely booth, very fun and different. We will for sure be back!! My only grip and the lack of a 5 star rating is that they still use styrofoam to go boxes and plastic bags. Time to get rid of this stuff and use recyclable products. Would hinder my choice to get take out here, unfortunately. read more

We started off with a sashimi appetizer and ended with the Sushi and Sashimi Love-boat for two. For the size of the sushi and the amount you're served, it's actually not a bad price point, compared to other sushi joints we've been to. Every roll and piece of fish was rich in taste and fresh. The whole atmosphere was very relaxing, too. They even have a fish tank! We had one waitress who took our order and took the check but the rest of the staff was very attentive to us as well, which was much appreciated. We never had to wait for her to check back on us before someone else had taken our plates and refilled our drinks. If I could give a zero I would. This was the most disgusting food I've ever seen from any restaurant. My sushi was not sushi at all. It was nothing but rolled up crumbles with a pile of crumbles on top. It was supposed to be shrimp and mango, but there was at most a tablespoon of each in the whole container. The few bites I tried to eat tasted old and gave such an aftertaste it made me nauseous. There was some tasteless crab thrown on top, but the sauce made it inedible. After looking through it for something that was edible it went in the trash. Go elsewhere!!!! read more

This has quickly become my new favorite sushi place!! They have cute private booths with sliding doors that you can close in order to have more privacy. The atmosphere in this restaurant is very nice and the sushi is great. The rolls in this photo from left to right: green tea roll, mango, American dream, tomo, hoddikko (not 100% sure on the spelling of the last one). The waitresses are kind of on top of you until you order and then they leave you alone. There is currently a great deal on Groupon for $40 worth of sushi!
