Having an option for boba tea and other treats is great for the Peninsula. Let's see how the visit turned out. We were greeted by the staff once we walked in. The vibe inside was pretty chilled for a hot Sunday afternoon. There were only two people seated and more folks did come, but the majority came for takeout. We both ordered immediately after walking inside. My choice was Creme Brulee Oreo Milk at 50% sugar with tapioca pearls and 50% ice. As always, it was pretty good. Full of milk, pearls and Oreo. Refreshing as always. Whale Tea....delivering quality products. They'll definitely come in handy the next time we're around :)

I went with the passionfruit tea with lychee jelly, and he got the grapefruit tea. We waited a very long time for our drinks. Multiple people who put in orders after us got their drinks. I was about to inquire when he finally asked if (our name) was in the building? The drinks had been just sitting up front. Annoying, but whatever. We grabbed them and went to the car. My bf liked his grapefruit tea and it was tasty. His drink looked exactly like the picture, which was impressive! Mine was good as well. I thought there would be more passionfruit pieces but there was a couple at the bottom. After sipping some up, I realized I was happy there wasn't a lot of pieces because the passionfruit seeds were hard as rock. lol! I was very surprised because I've had fresh passionfruit and the seeds aren't THAT hard. But maybe the kind they have is. I'm not sure. My drink was delish anyways and the lychee jelly was good, too. I'd return.

Joyu has been a very good place when it comes to producing various products. Whether it's boba tea, smoothies or coffee, they rarely disappoint. Let's see how things turned out. We were greeted by the staff once we walked in. Like many times, the decor was spotless and the vibe calm There were a few customers inside either dining in or ordering takeout. We knew what we wanted before entering so it took no time to order. I selected one of their Spring items, Brown Sugar Rose-Berry Freshmilk with brown sugar pearls, in honor of cherry blossoms for the State of Virginia. A very good drink indeed. Not too sweet and full of flavor. Some of the pearls did get stuck together (they were served hot after all), but it was no problem. Thank you once again Joyu for having us feel comfortable with much needed drinks. You'll see us again soon :)

You choose your own seating but it seems like the whole staff is there to wait on you. Everyone made sure we had all that we needed and enjoyed our food. We started off with the egg rolls and spring rolls, both were flavorful, light and delicious. For entrees I had the pho number 6 with brisket, rare beef and tendon (could've done without the tendon but I wanted to try something new). I asked for them to substitute the regular pho broth for the Bun Bo Hue broth. It was lighter than I expected but the flavor was still very good. My wife had the lemongrass chicken vermicelli bowl but she substituted the noodles for rice; she liked that the vermicelli bowl had more vegetables than the rice bowls. This was also phenomenal. Great char on the chicken and huge portions. Spent a total of $57 before tip, that did include one fountain drink and a Thai tea. We will be back for sure!

Let's see how things have been for them lately. For the most part, our visits have resulted in great products. Each time we entered the building, they would greet us with a smile and say welcome. It has even got to the point where they recognize us. Definitely a great feeling. And the vibe around has been very friendly. Most recently, they added Dalgona Coffee items to the menu. Dalgona became popular during the pandemic for those who aren't familiar. And I can say the stuff I tried has been really good. Honestly, it's not too strong nor too sweet for my taste buds. Hopefully, it stays on the menu. There's nothing more I can add to my experience here. Great products from great people. Keep it up guys :)

There is parking right next to the building or a pay to park parking lot across the street. The first two hours in the lot are free. ***EXPERIENCE*** We ordered the lychee oolong tea and the matcha milk tea with crystal boba and mango. My lychee oolong tea tasted just like fresh lychee! I will say it's brewed on the stronger side, so was a bit more bitter than I was hoping, but it was really refreshing. This is a wonderful spot to get some work done. They have strong wifi and lots of outlets. I appreciate the natural lighting in this space. ***PRICE*** Depending on what type and size of drink you get, prices range from $5-8. ***BATHROOM*** This spot shares a bigger building with other businesses. There isn't a bathroom in the actual Secret Garden space, but if you exit through their bigger building, you can find Women and Men restrooms not too far away. There are a few stalls in the Womens. ***CONCLUSION*** There is an extensive list of things you can order here! There is something for everyone.
