I've been on the hunt for a great Chinese food takeout spot so we gave china house a try. The food was ready quickly and they have an extensive menu. However, I'm consistently disappointed with Chinese food in Fort Myers. Their fried rice had a very odd flavor that I can't quite put my finger on. It was yellow and had veggies mixed in but I'm always expecting more of a soy sauce taste, with egg and veggies and this was nothing like my expectations. It probably was the pork that added such an interesting flavor. The orange chicken was alright but it didn't have as much of a sweet flavor or even flavor, as I was expecting. I didn't even try the broccoli because it looked dried out. I'm giving three stars for the cream cheese Rangoons and egg rolls, both were amazing and I would come back exclusively for those two things. However you will not catch me ordering fried rice again, because I can make it better at home. read more

Its your typical Chinese carryout joint, but I think its the best in the area. I go twice a month for their General tsao chicken.

We ordered 2 sesame chicken dishes and when we got home the chicken looked uncooked, felt mushy and was opaque in color... it literally caused me to gag on my first bite. I've had this dish at other establishments and knew right away it something wasn't right. I called and kindly asked for a refund of the chicken dishes, not the whole order because the soup and dumplings were good. I got aggressively yelled at over the phone by the owner and was told I was wrong and there's no way the chicken could be undercooked. They then told me I had to bring my food in to prove it wasn't right in order to get my refund. When I refuted I continued to get yelled at and then hung up on. Having a customer drive 15 minutes back to prove and potentially argue more to get my money back is bad business. I understand this is a family owned establishment and totally respect that, but this is not how to treat a customer. I opted to not go back and pick through my food with them to prove it was bad because I didn't want to get yelled and embarrassed at in person. I highly recommend you go else where for a good dinner and some respect. read more

This is my favorite nearby place for Chinese. Their food is always delicious and fresh. I love the chicken lo mean and their fried rice. I often get a side of veggies too, and that will feed me for several days! The portions are huge, prices are reasonable, and food is great. I ordered a house special with shrimp/chix and a Mongolian beef. Both listed as hot and spicy. I requested extra peppers of course. Of course they were wrong. No Heat. Plus this was just nasty food. The house special had 2 count, them two small shrimp and a bit of chix. It was filled with some veggie, BUT is was just nasty tasting. I threw it away. Mongolian beef you should see peppers, have maybe those little corn from a can , chestnuts. Here just grilled white onions and beef. I added my own heat. This is the worst chinese I have had here. I wonder how they stay in business. They were very nice folks. AAHHH we are in florida where folks are cheap & do not have a clue about world cusine. Never here again unless YOU buy. read more

Always fast service and fresh food. Building is clean and quiet there is room for seating but we always do take out.

My husband and I really love this place for take out Chinese Food. It's super close to home, easy ordering, ready quickly, good portion sizes and fresh tasting food. The folks taking orders via phone (you can order online also) are friendly and easy to communicate with. We have always experienced 100% accuracy in our orders as well. If you do like duck sauce, hot mustard, etc... make sure you grab it from the counter containers on your way out. I think they also offer delivery service, but since we live so close we choose to pick up. We tend to always order the same things, but have never been disappointed with our order. We find it's fresh and doesn't make us feel bloated. The portion size also allows us a second meal the next day. Our list of favorites is lengthy, but we really enjoy the boneless spareribs and the general tso chicken with a new favorite in the steamed dumplings! read more

It seems like you have to remind them every time you order. online I had a hard time pulling up the FULL menu... when I ordered they told me it cost more than I expected. The owners here are nice. As for the restaurant, it's your average strip mall Chinese joint. Strangely, the only really good fast Chinese is in Naples. As for all the places around south Ft. Myers, this place has the best lo mein noodles & general tso's chicken. The chicken is never spicy like it's supposed to be, but it's usually still good. I've tried many other places around here, & like I said, their lo mein is the best around this area. My gf tried several other dishes, & they were very bland. So far I have had their Happy Shrimp 3 times, and each time has been consistently delicious. Plenty of plump shrimp, not breaded, which helps cut down on carbs and calories. Last night decided to check out some other dishes. Mushu pork was very good, and I found a new favorite, Black Pepper Chicken It is small bites of chicken lightly breaded, onions and green pepper. Chicken has black pepper in the flour coating, and the brown sauce is just slightly peppery and a little sweet from brown sugar. I got the large which comes with steamed rice, but next time I'll get the dinner combo which I can then choose the fried rice and an egg roll. Had their shrimp egg roll once. It was good but average. Best part was it was fresh and stayed crispy while I waited for it to cool down enough to eat. A bit pricey . I'll stick to regular egg roll from now on. I'll keep going back and trying new things. But right now, I want some more Black Pepper Chicken! read more

Love this place! This is the only place my husband and I will order Chinese food from. We're both vegan, and they are always more than happy to accommodate our needs, and they're always so friendly. The food is always delicious, and we've never had issues with it being made wrong. If I HAD to think of a downside, it would be that they don't deliver. And that's only because, sometimes we're lazy, and don't want to drive to pick it up. Haha. But it's pretty close to us, so it's not that big of a deal.
