I've been living in a hotel in DuPont for weeks. I've eaten pretty much everything in this "town," most of it is awful and overpriced. This place is an exception. It's nothing special. A Mom and pop place. But it's clean and reasonably priced. The owners are very friendly and the food is decent. A salad comes with very meal which is a plus. They also have awesome little chilled beer glasses. They were very good to our toddler providing him with a kids plate and fork and doting on him. I will come back again, which is more than I can say for the rest of the DuPont restaurants read more

I stumbled upon Koko Teriyaki when I needed a break from a drive, mid afternoon. The service and friendliness were exceptional and the food was very tasty. The rice was amazing, not the cheapest variety, as my Chinese husband noted when he ate the leftovers. A nice little salad with delicious dressing complemented the chicken teriyaki meal. read more

Right off I-5 before Olympia, I stopped in here for lunch this week. Warmly greeted, I was presented with an extensive menu. The place was clean and the cook and server were quite efficient. I ordered the chicken teriyaki and gyoza linch special. It took less than 10 minutes to deliver my order and it was a nice portion. 2 big scoops of white rice, a generous portion of chicken and 3 gyoza. Very tasty! Husband and I had to meet in Dupont and were looking for some place to eat. We thought we would try something new, so stumbled upon this place. On the outside they had a "Grand Opening" sign, which found out later was related to the fact that they have new ownership. The first thing I noticed when I walked in that there was about 4-5 tables filled, and no one was eating. The menu behind the counter is very bright and colorful. The man behind the counter was very sweet, but had troubles putting in our order that he had to have someone else come to help him. We sat down at our table. You do have to get your own waters. While waiting for our food, i observed that they do a lot of sushi orders and a lot of people came in for take out. When talking to other people at the restaurant, they said they had been waiting for 30 minutes, and hadn't even gotten their appetizer yet. The staff tried to offer us someone else food because they thought it was ours. It just seems liked things were very chaotic and they "blamed" the sushi orders that take a while to make and that their back printer had run out of paper. Our food came out prior to the people who had been waiting 30 minutes. We ordered two dishes (chicken yakisoba and beef lo mein) while they had crab rangoon and 1 sushi roll. Luckily I happened to see the crab rangoon just sitting on the counter and I mentioned to the staff that a couple had been waiting for that. The food was good and was a decent serving, however I felt like things on the menu were over priced. If you come here, I recommend ordering ahead of time and then just picking it up. I dont know if we just caught them on a bad day, but I would not recommend going there if you are in a rush, because I dont know how long it will take them to fulfill your order. read more

Had Koko Teriyaki delivered today for lunch, hadn't been there or had food from there in a couple of years. Wow, it was really good! The crab rangoon was fresh, crispy, and perfectly cooked, and the Tofu Teriyaki was terrific! It was nicely packaged and a great portion. The rice was fresh and cooked perfectly, and the salad was fresh. But that Tofu, crispy on the outside and tender and silky on the inside, and the Teriyaki was the perfect addition! I saw they had new ownership so we had chicken katsu and kimchi fried rice to go while inside. The service was great she welcomed us when we came in and took our order right away. I love their menu, it's pretty snazzy with animated photos, icons and color coordination to make things more obvious. Like what's spicy, raw/undercooked, etc. Ambiance was family restaurant vibe. Katsu sauce came on the side, the taste and consistency was great. Chicken was crispy but still moist inside like you'd want. Kimchi fried rice was definitely a authentically Korean dish you'd expect any umma/halmonie makes that tastes like home which I love. I think I'm going to try and dine-in for some dolsut (hot stone) bibimbap for sure. I recommend everyone give the new owners a try! read more

We found this quaint little place while we were charging our EUV behind the restaurant. It was the only place open, so we took a chance. They provided fast and friendly take out service and have a variety of different Asian foods to choose from and plenty of drink options. The kimchi fried rice was great. I took my family here recently and I saw that it had new ownership so I decided to give it a try. We walked in and was immediately greeted and took our seat - they brought two booster seats for our kiddos. I like the layout of the restaurant and the lighting as I don't like it when it's too dim and when it feels claustrophobic as there is a lot of open space. The food was great! I had the sushi rolls, my wife had the chicken teriyaki and my kids shared the katsu plate. The price was fair and the food came out relatively fast. Very friendly. We ordered 4 plates with extra sides, for $78.61. The actual cost is about $14/person. The portions are large, and food tastes really good. I can say I am full afterwards, and we still have leftovers. I would highly recommend the chicken fried rice and eggrolls. We just moved to DuPont and decided to give this place a try, despite all of the bad reviews, since it's less than a half mile from our apartment. We ordered 6 different sushi rolls, chicken teriyaki, veggie lo mein, and chicken yakisoba. It was a solid 4 stars. The rolls were not amazing, but they were delicious, and I did not think there was too much rice, as a previous reviewer said. Both noodle dishes were a hit, but I found the lo mein to be a bit too sweet, and the chicken was tender and flavorful with a good char on it. Also, the portions were very generous. The customer service was wonderful, and our order was ready quickly. We will definitely order again. read more

Orange Chicken I recently ordered from them through door dash. It was my first time trying them. My pregnant mouth was really watering for some orange chicken. When it arrived there was nothing orange about this chicken. It tasted like it was sweetened with a zero calorie sugar alternative. I was not able to eat this. The experience started when egg drop soup was served to the table. Normally I'm ok with egg drop soup, but this soup was overly eggy, with texture and taste. I ordered the teriyaki chicken and gyoza lunch special ($7.99). It was ok. I was a little disappointed that they didn't have teriyaki sauce on the table. Just arrived in Dupont and found Koko Teriyaki to be inviting, with great hospitality and tasty meals. The restaurant has recently had a change in owners 5 months ago. In addition to typical American style Chinese food, they have traditional Korean dishes like BiBim Bap and Kalbi, as well a nice selection of Japanese foods including, yakisoba, Donkatsu, and sushi. This is one of my favorite teriyaki places in the area. The food is very fresh and the lady that works at the counter is very friendly. It is pretty expensive for teriyaki. I usually get a teriyaki combo with Mongolian beef. I love it. It can be pretty salty, and I usually am chugging water after the meal into the night, but I love it anyways. I also like the chicken chow mein because I'm pretty much obsessed with noodles. My daughter has had the pineapple fried rice and she really loved it. This is just a pretty basic teriyaki place in a strip mall. They do have a lot of tables to eat in if you'd like. I have stopped here during my lunch hour, and sat in and it was comfortable. I have also had this delivered via Uber eats and it's fresh and yummy. Other than the sodium content issue I love it. I believe if you stay in, they will serve you soup with your meal. They're pretty fast too. I have signed up for the rewards at the front counter and given that I go there often I get free stuff all the time from my rewards points. read more

Trying out their sushi against my better judgment. The rice was so sour, it ruined the whole roll. Look at how it was presented. There was so much rice versus protein, and I seriously had the feeling I was about to get ripped off. I will give a place three strikes before they are out so I will probably try again. In the area on business. Needed a quick dinner. Hmm. This looks interesting. The place shows its age and the little gal behind the counter has a slightly heavy accent. It took quite a while for our food to be ready, but even then it was worth it.
