Quick, cheap place to grab sushi. It satisfies my craving, but I wouldn't say it is near the best sushi I've had. Rolls are reasonably priced. We got three of their special rolls for $45. It also comes with a side of miso soup. The miso soup was your typical miso soup. They had a good selection of different kinds of rolls. We went with two of the seared fish rolls (one was with salmon and the other was tuna - I forgot the name but it was seared fish over a California roll) and the Valentine roll. The rolls with the seared fish were good. I was a little disappointed in the Valentine roll as the tuna had that frozen fish taste/texture that I don't particularly like. The rolls did not have a lot of rice though which I prefer. Service was great. The lady at the cashier was very kind and they bring out your food to your table and bus it after. My boyfriend mentioned that he noticed that the rolls have gotten smaller from when he remembered from a few years ago, so now the rolls are the size of your average roll at any other sushi spot. They apparently used to be ginormous. Overall not a bad place to go.

Washington Roll and Spicy Tuna , combo with miso soup $20.99

I decided to stop in for a late lunch and ordered the $20.99 special roll along with a regular roll and Miso Soup. I chose the Washington Roll as my special roll and spicy tuna as my regular roll. Unfortunately, the miso soup was quite bland, and the tofu had an unusually chewy texture. The sushi was comparable to what one might find at a convenience store--neither bad nor particularly good. The pricing was reasonable. The older gentleman working at the cashier was nice. This is located inside thr Pal-Do Korean Market. There is please type of parking. Overall, it's a quick, cheap grab a sushi roll with no high expectations.

Sushi Niwa is HIGHLY underrated. For the price, quality, and taste. You can't beat it for 2 specialty rolls for $23.99, comes with miso soup and hot tea yum! Came in today for Dinner, the owner runs the front and cooks in the back. Very hard working people, support this Korean Business! Been coming here for 5+ years now. Most people usually do takeout, but it's nice to sit inside the Paldo Plaza :) Come check this out after you're done doing your shopping at Paldo!

Was in the mood for some sushi and saw that they had affordable prices for 3 of us to eat. The service was very sweet. We ordered and then sat down at one of the cafeteria styled tables and she brought everything out for us. Considering price and the friendly people around us creating a good ambiance, I'd come back again! Food was pretty yummy.

I have been going here for years and it is my #1 favorite spot to go to! The service is absolutely quick and amazing. The older gentleman is always so sweet and puts care into each order. He also works in the back after taking your order to prepare the food along with another chef. The sushi is always fresh and top quality. The prices are also very fair. I would highly recommend coming here.

What a place!!!! I went with my friends to meet up with them, and we stopped by Sushi niwa, to get some food. We got the tempura udon- but they also gave us free miso soup and tea. Both were very delicious, especially the miso soup- it was filled with so much flavor. It was warm and comforting. This place reminds me of a nice visit to your grandparents house, and they feed you a nice home cooked meal. Not only the food was yummy, the kindness of the humans came so naturally- you definitely will feel taken care of there!!! it was more than just a restaurant, it was an experience. And at the end, one of the employees, gave us some miso soup to take home:,) the hospitality goes above and beyond!!! If you're looking for a restaurant that really shows their care for their customers, while also providing a yummy hearty meal, go to this place!!!!

What deliciousness USED to look like.

whatEVERRRRR you do--IF you are an old Sushi Niwa patron and the 'Karage' was a favorite dish here...let me put chu' on. I highly suggest you DO NOT waste your time and coins coming here and if you do--AVOID this GARBAGE!!! And I do mean ABBBBsolutely, POSitively at alllllllll cost. 1. The flavor is not even close. 2. Mine was (see photo) overcooked. Drastically. 3. The Flavor is not even Close. 4. The sauce isn't the same. 5. Did I mention that the FLAVOR is not even CLOSE? 6. It doesn't even smell right. Well, IF I forgot to mention it: THA' DAMN FLAVOR IS NASTY AS HELL!!! NOT EVEN CLOSE TO THE ORIGINAL. What really 'chaffs my pits' though, is that I have to leave a review like this and man at tha' counter...was really a nice guy! He gave me a free salad yall!!! Gosh. Granted. Prolly didn't cost but .75 but he gave me a free salad!!!! Regardless though, I shall not tell a lie and though this is my opinion, guess what...I YAINT LYING-GUH!!! NASTY. They used to be one of tha' Sushi greats but I'm not eeeeven go tempt it. I'm done with Sushi Niwa. Like...like...good Volleyball ball spike...DONE! Good thang tha' Sprite was canned or ain't no telling what that woulda' tasted like. This $&@? here need to come wit a mini-garbage can from 'no mo' Dollar-Dollar Tree' and a 3 minute, Money Back...GUARANTEE. A GUARANTEE THAT: "THEY WONT SELL THIS HORRIBLE $&@! to NOOOOBODY ELSE". EVER. I know you really can't tell but my taste buds is highhhhhly pissed.

This was my first time trying this place and I loved it everything was good and the price is reasonable. The miso soup was very good definitely one of the best I've had. The salmon tasted fresh it didn't not have a fishy taste at all. I will be coming back for sure

The sushi here has some of the best prices. I got their new sushi item called the Sunflower. If you love salmon the Sunflower would be perfect. They are very generous with the salmon. The restaurant is inside the Korean grocery market called Paldo World in a food court style seating. They do serve you your food at the tables. I highly recommend going here for great priced sushi!

Ask the Community - Sushi Niwa

Are there any vegetable rolls? On the menu it looks like they only have seafood rolls.

Yes I know they have veggie maki roll, tofu roll, veggie rolls,etc..

I went and they were closed. What are their hours? No hours were posted just a closed sign

They are very active on Facebook, so I always check there for updates on any unexpected closures. It is a small, family run business, so they do take occasional vacations or medical leave and have to close. They were recently closed for a camping…
