We went with two of the seared fish rolls (one was with salmon and the other was tuna - I forgot the name but it was seared fish over a California roll) and the Valentine roll. The rolls with the seared fish were good. I was a little disappointed in the Valentine roll as the tuna had that frozen fish taste/texture that I don't particularly like. The rolls did not have a lot of rice though which I prefer. Service was great. The lady at the cashier was very kind and they bring out your food to your table and bus it after. My boyfriend mentioned that he noticed that the rolls have gotten smaller from when he remembered from a few years ago, so now the rolls are the size of your average roll at any other sushi spot. Loved it! This is located in the Pal-Do World Market. It's a very cute stand in their food court area. The sushi was to die for. They had a great 6 piece nigiri plate that was priced well. We also ordered the baked salmon, spicy salmon, and avocado rolls. All of the fish was fresh and tasted amazing. Our order also came with some delicious miso soup. The sushi here has some of the best prices. I got their new sushi item called the Sunflower. If you love salmon the Sunflower would be perfect. They are very generous with the salmon. The restaurant is inside the Korean grocery market called Paldo World in a food court style seating. They do serve you your food at the tables. This used to be my favorite sushi place. I could look beyond the cold and drafty, often unclean, cafeteria like seating area packed with boxes and boxes of merchandise stacked around you like you were in the middle of a warehouse. But...this last time I visited will probably be my last. It was a 35 minute wait to get our sushi. Fine, I can let that go. But the salad, tea, and miso soup that we purchased with our rolls all came in small styrofoam containers. Not only is this absolutely HORRIBLE for our environment, the presentation was offputting, and the portions were small. I had to get up and get refills on tea and water because the cups were like small children's Dixie cups. The rolls were just ok this time. There was nothing special about them. They were not tightly rolled so they fell apart upon picking them up. In addition, they were bringing in a new freezer and they were drilling and hammering so loudly that my boyfriend and I couldnt even have a conversation while waiting for our food. I am not kidding, it felt like I was in the middle of a construction site. And then, in the evening my boyfriend got sick (that was all he ate that day). I am on the fence about this place..I had heard such positive reviews about the place and finally took the trip to Paldo World (my go to is usually Hmart) to go feast on some sushi. Found in the food court of Paldo World, the scene is pretty casual and it's the kind of atmosphere where you order at the counter and pay, pick a place to sit and the food eventually makes its way out to you. There are a lot of roll options, specialty rolls, and the standard rolls that are all pretty reasonably priced. We ordered three specialty rolls that were a mix of tuna, eel, and salmon and were served complementary miso soup and a side salad. Priced at around $35 dollars, the portions and size of the rolls were pretty reasonable. The problem I mainly had was how poorly constructed all the rolls were, and kind of how underwhelmingly bland everything was. Every time I picked up a roll, all of the inside splattered out, and it was a mess. While I'm a master at chopsticks, it made it impossible to enjoy the roll because a lot of the times it wasn't a complete bite of all the ingredients. Flavor - I can't recall exactly the names of the rolls I ordered but I believe a few were the baked alaska, and a washington roll. Both sounded really tasty on the menu, but was meh. When I order a specialty roll as opposed to a standard roll, ex: salmon avocado, spicy tuna; I expect something that bursts with flavors and is chock full of ingredients. I think I was too hyped up for this place, I would come back to try the basic rolls and maybe use this as a place to get cheap sushi (~$6 for a basic roll) but if I'm craving sushi as a treat, would refrain from coming back here. read more

Salad and miso soup was included in our order that came out immediately. Miso tasted ok but had just wakame in it, no tofu. After a few bites of my salad I noticed rotten lettuce in it indicating it was probably old. Sushi came out right after and I can't remember what we ordered but they all had this off putting neon green wasabi with each roll. So the entrance area is very dirty and it could use some cleaning. Do not touch the doors they are filty. We were at first rather surprise of how dirty the place looked and we kind of wanted to walk out but we chanced it and went in, let me tell you we do not regret it.
