This is a long-standing jewelry store in the heart of the lovely and upscale village of Laguna Beach. One can hear the waves breaking from the front of the store because the beautiful Main Beach is just a one minute walk up the road! Kokopelli's deals in authentic Native American jewelry, and their pieces are gorgeous and quite high-end. The high-end is also where the price tag lies,my friends. I went to have a pair of old green turquoise earrings repaired, and Sam did me right. He is a good man; trustworthy, honest, and he has impeccable taste in jewelry. I didn't end up buying anything in the store because the prices are sky-high, but that doesn't mean that you shouldn't give them a chance. I saw a beautiful set of earrings that really spoke to me; I even gave them a name, "Pieces of Sky" due to the pale blue coloring of these ancient stones. Alas, my pocketbook would not stretch that far, but I am sure that a nice lady with the means has already scooped them up, along with their matching necklace by now. Good for her. A truly unique & interesting jewelry shop in downtown Laguna. It's nature meets art, meets beautiful jewelry! Lots of hand made by lots of local artists. I love the Native American inspired work, and the earth elements infused designs. So many choices of necklaces, bracelets, rings, earrings, fancy wood pens, and even some sculptures. The hard part is trying to decide which piece to purchase...lol! I absolutely love Amber, and they had quite a few to choose from, but I also love butterflies just as much! One artist used actual butterfly wings inside the jewelry...both necklace & earrings to match, and more than one design too. It was tough to not just buy them all...ha ha...but I went with one of the butterfly necklaces crafted by a California artist who has been designing since before I was born! This is Laguna Beach's best kept secret. I wanted to get my best friend something blue to wear for her wedding day and since turquoise is her birthstone I thought this place would be perfect. I was right not they had so many turquoise pendants, earrings, bracelets, rings and even barrettes to choose from. After a long time deciding which by the way the guy helping me was very nice and not pushy at all I got her a soft blue Zuni link bracelet which she absolutely loved! Just visited Kokopelli again, I always make sure to stop when vacationing in Southern Cali. I picked up my third piece a beautiful reversible Zuni pendant which had lots of different colored stones on one side and a silver engraved motif on the other side which I found out from the Native American gentleman that works there is actually a Navajo story engraving. I went in there looking for a unique cross but fell in love with the heart pendant.
