We had a nice overnight stay at the Inn. It's a quaint and small inn. The owner met us upon exiting our vehicle and showed us to our room. She offered great recommendations on places to eat and activities in the area. The Inn is located outside of the city and Waze places the location accurately, but the driveway is down hill from the inn...we passed it when arriving. The place could use some updates but is definitely perfect for the budget-conscious traveler. read more

I would highly recommend the Kokopelli Inn for a peaceful relaxing stay. Butch and June are friendly and wonderful, it feels like you truly are guests in their home. The room we stayed in is large, clean and inviting. Breakfast was yummy and was accompanied by piñon coffee and a big soft homemade cinnamon roll. A highlight is the hot tub at night while enjoying the stars on a clear night. Estes Park is recovering from the Sept 2013 floods and the local merchants are there and welcome our business. read more

My husband and I stayed a couple nights at the Kokopelli Inn in January 2014. This place is great, and Butch and June could not be more hospitable. The room was very cozy and the view off our balcony was beautiful. The breakfasts in the morning and the little snacks left in our room during the day were all delicious. Butch and June were wonderful to chat with in the mornings, and we are so glad we found this place. Very peaceful and welcoming. read more

Please notice the dates of these reviews. I stayed here in the summer of 2019, and I regret I cannot recommend this inn. I give it two stars because Theresa, the inn keeper, was friendly and the room was clean and spacious. I do not know when the photos shown in their ads were taken, but the exterior was not well maintained during my stay. I looked for the jacuzzi, and found it among weeds and it was not open for use. Old cigarette butts were scattered on the decks, although I did enjoy the porch swing. The traffic is very noisy, and starts in the early morning hours. Nothing is walkable nearby, as the inn is perched on the side of a hill, with minimal access to walk except to your car. I enjoyed visiting with other guests during breakfast. When I inquired about juice, Theresa said only water, coffee, and tea are available. No juice. No milk. I then brought my own and kept it in the room refrIgerator. No big deal, just odd. I thInk the inn changed ownership a few years ago, thus the difference in reviews. Again, look at the dates reviewed before making your reservation. It is a pleasant drive to Estes Park, but returning you have a left turn into the inn that can be dicey due to the heavy traffic. read more

Beautiful location, our room was gorgeous, the food was just... beyond delicious. I went here with my boyfriend for my birthday, and they had chocolate covered strawberries waiting for us. We had our own private deck. The hosts were just so so nice. I would recommend this place to anyone. I can't wait to go back for my next birthday read more

They have sought out our information on dietary restrictions and even our preferences, and have kindly listened to them all. They have also been quickly accommodating to changes in our circumstances. I would hesitate to book at this Inn. I had booked 2 nights for end of August through booking.com. Last week I went to their website, saw the two different types of Queen rooms and emailed asking if I could have the more private one and if they would recommend one over the other for scenic views. Theresa emailed back that she would get back to me once she got home that night. She never did. She did earlier this week, to tell me I had the Kachina Rm, which I asked about the other one since it seemed more private and was abruptly told it was booked. I also asked about a difference in pricing between what my booking.com reservation quoted and their price on the website and that since their prices were lower, I hoped they would adjust my bill. I said I wished I had known there were 2 types of Queen rms in advance or when I first reserved in March to which she replied, you were given the choice on booking.com. I was given no such choice, they only offer Queen/King and I chose Queen. Also, booking.com said breakfast was included, the website said No breakfast on Saturdays. I even attached my confirmation from booking.com to show it in print. All to me, legitimate questions. This morning, I received an email from her telling me to cancel my reservation with booking.com that I would not be happy at the Inn and they were canceling my reservation. This is Estes Pk, Labor Day weekend. If you know Estes, you know they are booked by May all the way through September! She has since been rude when I tried to point out that I was merely pointing out the difference in what I had been told by booking.com and what is on their website. I had no choice but to cancel and pray I can find something else as my flight/car rental have all been booked. I have NEVER encountered such horrendous customer service or should say lack of customer service in my life! Be forewarned. read more

I cannot recommend the Kokopelli Inn enough. June and Butch couldn't be nicer. We stayed in the Kachina Suite. The best surprise upon arriving was the awesome chocolate strawberries in the room. Unfortunately, we were really disappointed by our stay. If all you're looking for is a place to sleep, this place is fine. If you're looking for a quite escape in the mountains and a true bed and breakfast experience, this is not the place. I wish I had read all the reviews. The first impression pulling up to the inn is pretty bad. There's trash, buckets, weeds, hoses, etc all over the place. Immediately, it doesn't feel clean. The bigger disappointment is the proximity to the highway (see picture). Forget about relaxing on the balcony and sipping coffee in the morning unless you want to be greeted by the sounds of fast cars and sirens. We tried to take a nap one day and couldn't (even with the AC going) because of all the noise in the inn and on the road. At night, lanterns weren't lit, a fire wasn't going, there was no mention of a hot tub...overall, there was no personal touch. All that said, our biggest gripe is how this place is misrepresented on their website. For example, they say "has it's own secluded patio" and none of the pictures show the road with vehicles roaring by. Nothing secluded about it. They write about privacy, quiet, catching a glimpse of the sunrise and 20 wooded acres. However, the inn is on the side of a cliff, there's no signs to reach the 20 wooded acres, no privacy, no quiet, and we never saw a sunrise from this location. Major bummer! Just know what you're getting into. read more
