I feel lucky to have found this spot - and while it's not in my normal area, it'll be hard not to visit again when I'm nearby. It offers a drive thru; however, I'd suggest parking and staying for a bit. Very friendly and helpful staff. They answered our questions about drinks, found us scones, and took quick care of their customer orders. I ordered the large Golden Hour latte with bourbon and caramel syrup. I didn't realize it also included a topping of whipped cream! So, if that's not your thing, make sure to let them know if you'd prefer to skip it. I appreciated that it wasn't overly sweet. We also took home a couple of blueberry lemon scones. They were okay. The flavor was a bit subtle and I'd likely skip them next time. The menu is robust and they offer several syrups. Plenty of tea packets to pick as well - and if you'd prefer a Red Bull infusion, it's on the menu! Caffeine in all the forms. There's several seats inside and the interior offers a homey vibe. I imagine during nicer weather the patio is popular too. The well was once called sister beans coffee. Before new ownership, I would go to SB many times throughout the week. Now that it is under new ownership, it isn't the same. I do like the new and improved interior. It is more updated and modern. That being said, I come for the coffee. And in this case, the coffee isn't very good. Each time I order a flavored iced latte. It's always very watered down. I always ask for no whip, and every time that gets ignored. I have stopped coming here as it never really hits the mark for me. Cute and tasty! The Fella and I have been enjoying trying out the different local coffee shops around town.On this particular day, we wanted to roll a walk or a hike in with a coffee run. I suggested we do the loop at Iroquois Park, which immediately made me think of Sister Bean's. I know about this coffee shop because at events at the amphitheater, sometimes they have raffles and often gift cards to this coffee shop are given away. So I figured it was finally time to give them a try! They are located conveniently near the park, but I don't think any of the businesses on New Cut Road can *really* be called convenient. It is a pain to turn on to and off of that road. But, like I said, we were already planning on being right there in order to get a good walk in. And the coffee shop has a decent amount of parking spots available! We came mid-morning on a Saturday, and there was only one person in line in front of us, so we made our decisions quickly. I got a large coffee with hazelnut syrup. My go-to, tasty, budget fave. It was delicious! I'm not sure exactly what brew was being served, but I got the lighter roast and put in a lil' creamer and fake sugar and hot dang it was awesome! I also got a savory scone, heated up, for a pre-walk breakfast. It was also very yummy! The Fella got a coffee drink, a scone, AND a muffin. And all together, our whole visit ran about $15. Not bad for all that! And the atmosphere inside is welcoming and cozy. We enjoyed our visit so much, we were already talking about a return visit before we had even finished this first one. What a cozy spot to grab some coffee and a quick bite on the South Side! I'm not in this area very much, but when I am I will definitely come back. And bonus: They have a drive-through! And Comfy Cow ice cream! During my recent visit, I ordered a coffee -- strong but not over-roasted -- and a $4.99 chicken avocado sandwich, which was grilled and includes the aforementioned ingredients plus tomato pesto, cheese and bacon on focaccia bread. It definitely hit the spot. I didn't get a chance to check out the all-important power outlet situation for laptops, but I and a fellow Yelp Elite were able to chat easily and comfortably. Let me preface this with I'm not much of a coffee person, so I can't speak on the quality of the grounds or anything like that. BUT I do like an occasional hot drink, especially since we're getting into cooler weather (finally!). Instead of going through the Drive-Thru I opted to go inside. I really liked the vibe of the place. It was cozy, had plenty of seating, and the overall mood was inviting. Unfortunately it was incredibly loud, so much so that I could hardly hear the lady behind the counter. The sound was emitting from the coffee machine. I assume since it was early morning around 8am and there were quite a few people in the Drive-Thru as well as inside that was the reason for the constant noise. I would like to come back when it's not peak just so I can better enjoy my time inside. Now on to the drinks and pastries. I opted for the Salted Caramel Latte while my boyfriend chose the Hot Chocolate. We also decided to get a Cheese Danish each, and I'm pretty sure they were from Heitzman's bakery. Everything was definitely enjoyable, although I wish they were able to toast the Danish instead of just nuking it, but that's just being picky. We also enjoyed that they were immediately ready to drink instead of having to wait 30 mins until they were cool enough. I finally had a chance to grab a latte and enjoy it inside for once, the laid back and quiet atmosphere creates a productive environment, so if that's what you're looking for definitely bring your laptop here. They have so many flavor options and all of them are good, especially the red velvet. The chai tea latte here is also incredible, just enough spice in it along with nutmeg and cinnamon. They also have subs like soy and almond milk. The staff here is so kind, I told the lady I had been here 8 times in the past week and she gave me 5 stamps so I'm halfway to a free latte! There is also more seating towards the back and lots of baked goodies from Heitzman Bakery. Get yourself a stamp card here so you can earn your free latte! My favorite coffee shop in Louisville! I go at least every other day and sit inside on my laptop. I love all the workers, the owners, the environment, the coffee - which is fairly inexpensive. They have great baked goods/pastries as well. They give out little pup cups with whipped cream + a dog treat when you bring your pup through the drive thru which I love to do. I decided to give it a try one early morning when I needed my caffeine fixed. The place is conveniently located across from Iroquois park. Like most coffee shops, it carries a warm atmosphere with a fragrant roasted coffee aroma as soon as you entered the place. The picture of the matcha (green tea) berry featured on the poster by the door caught my eyes. The price was around the same as the popular franchise coffee places around town. I was a bit disappointed that my drink didn't look as inviting and lacking the whipped cream on top as in their poster. Maybe you have to ask for it specifically? However, the drink was delicious.
