SKIP IT! First off I want to say this is a COFFEE HOUSE, which it states in the title. That being said, you expect that during their open hours, you can get a fresh cup of coffee. Do not expect that here. I tried to call while at a stoplight to check and see if they were open and no one answered. I decided to drive by so that I'd know where it was for the future as I love to support local. There was a person sitting in the window area and they appeared open so I stopped to get myself and my friend a cup as we still had a few hours to go until the workday was over. The interior is quaint and there are several area to sit, when you have the time, to enjoy your coffee. I walked In and had to say "hello?" before someone came to the counter. I asked if they had fresh coffee and when she said yes, I ordered 2 cups of coffee to go. It was NOT FRESH. It was bitter and old tasting, not super hot either. I asked when it was made and she said it was recently. I asked what it was and she said they use Quills. I have had Quills coffee several times and never did it taste this bad. I told the barista it tasted bitter / burnt and she said that's just how it tastes. Well ok then... So I grab my coffees and step away to text and she starts making a new pot of coffee! Wth? Sad that this particular long dark haired barista selling me old scrappy coffee, not telling me the truth about it and not offering to make new coffee once I questioned the age of what she served me. I know its hard to hire good people that take pride in their job but wow, she's giving a bad name to the shop AND Quills coffee. (They do not have creamer available to you, fyi.) Fresher coffee at the gas station, which is where I will stop next time. Learning my way around my new area and this won't be a regular spot.

Hard to tell it's a coffee house

Beautiful inside. Plus any owner who invests in a La Marzocco for espresso should be rewarded with our business. La Marzocco is an instrument of great craftmanship and beauty. Made in Florence Italy, it defines great espresso as much as Sofia Loren defines beauty. -1* because they serve espresso in a paper cup. Oh the humanity. A small warmed ceramic cup is the proper destiny for espresso.

Wide open spaces, but limited seating

Very good coffee, relaxing atmosphere, limited seating. Admittedly, I haven't tried many of the offerings that True North provides, but my mocha latte was spot on; great flavor and temperature. The menu looked pretty standard with a few specialized drinks and there were some pastries and other goodies if you want something to snack on as well. The space is comfortable and relaxing. The tasteful art is mounted on light gray walls with rich wood tones and plenty of potted plants around to break up the hard lines. There isn't much in the way of seating for a room this big and most of the tables were for 4-6, so I would feel a little less ready to work or read here than other shops, even with the free Wi Fi. The stools are also a little too high or the tables are a little too short, so I kept hunching. Form is great, function could use some work. This seems to be part of a growing True North complex, so don't get confused by the other True North businesses next door. I could definitely see myself coming here for coffee again!

Very quaint coffee shop with a serene and cool vibe. If looking a quiet place to relax, work or study this is it!! I had the Red Velvet Cold Creme brew and it was AHHHMaZING!!!! Tasted like a red velvet cake. Highly recommend. Hubs had the Hazelnut Dark Chocolate latte. Warm and excellent as well. We sampled some vegan banana bread from Soul Sisters Bakery and it was delicious. Highly recommend a stop into True North in New Albany,

I'm a sucker for cute, local coffee shops and True North just happens to be one of those cute, local coffee shops. They offer a variety of coffees, lattes, teas, and muffins/cookies. They also have a seasonal drink menu.

Really cute, sunny little cafe with a classy little gift shop attached right next door. The Red Velvet Latte special was delicious, rich and creamy with sweet raspberry flavor. Yum. They also carry a nice selection of flavored olive oils and vinegars for retail purchase.

Changing table in bathroom with pads provided

I've had this cafe saved for the longest time, and i'm so glad I finally got to try it! Ample street parking on an adorable Market street, and it's connected to the boutique next door. We got the peaches & cream cold brew with an iced latte. I was surprised that it was so empty- it's sooo good and very spacious inside. There's a changing table in a single bathroom as well. Loveee all the plants in the front. Will be returning! Only warning: wifi is free but SUPER slow

Alien Latte and Lavender Butterfly Latte

I came here with my sister and we quickly received our drinks after ordering. The Alien latte is a raspberry matcha latte and it tasted amazing. The Lavender Butterfly Latte is a lemon lavender flower tea latte and it was pretty good. We both agreed that the Alien latte was better. Very cute shop, a nice place to sit down and enjoy a latte!

Got the strawberry shortcake latte and it was so good. Very refreshing on a warm day- very strawberry flavored without being too sweet.

If you're looking for a cozy spot where everything is made from scratch and served with a smile,…read moreLeavin Bakery is that perfect little neighborhood gem. The baked goods here are irresistible. I'm obsessed with their cheese danish (honestly, you can't go wrong with any of their pastries). Whether it's a muffin or a fresh-out-of-the-oven cookie, you can taste the love and homemade quality in every bite. On the savory side, the chicken and waffles is a must-try! And don't get me started on their biscuits and gravy--pure comfort food that hits the spot every time. Leavin Bakery is more than just great food... the atmosphere makes you want to stay a little longer. It's super cozy, always friendly, and the perfect neighborhood hangout. I can't wait to come back and explore their lunch menu--if it's anything like breakfast, I know it's going to be amazing.

The bakery and bread items were plentiful and everything looked delicious. The cinnamon roll was our favorite and it will be the reason to return. I also loved my lemon lavender scone, eating half there and taking home the other half for dessert. I wasn't as happy about the sides from the grill. My eggs were extremely peppery and I gave up eating them because every bite was overwhelming. My two slices of bacon were hard and pitiful, definitely not worth the cost. My friend noted her sausage as "interesting". The space has seating at the grill and two rooms, with one being crowded because of the incoming crowd. However, we were so happy to be there that we didn't mind the visitors and no one was rude to us as they walked along the ordering counter. The owners are a husband and wife team. She was friendly and talkative and we loved her the pride she took of the shop. We left with more pastries and bread. Such great selection and pricing. This is a reason to promote this shop. I've paid more for less quality but now know to come to Leaven Bakery.

Heading in, the ordering is straightforward as well with an easy to use menu board outlining their signature flavors, a pastry/grazing case to the right and order pick up to the left. Service is quick and friendly. The transaction easy. I was a little disappointed that my coffees weren't marked with what was in them, only my name and how many there were (two facts that probably help the baristas, but I already know both of those things and telling me which is mine and which is my partner's would be better use of sharpie ink). The coffee also wasn't very hot. It was warm, easy to drink and flavorful, but would have been tough if I'd had a long drive. There are plenty of outlets in the gray-painted interior of the building to charge your devices. There's also outdoor seating, but the view and traffic noise can't be all that desirable. Overall, I'm pretty happy.
