We tried the moose and the polar bear lattes and they were both good. They also have pup cups for your dog and outdoor seating. Cute little coffee shop.

What a great coffee stop! I had a quick errand to make to New Albany this morning, and I can't not use that as an excuse to check out a newish-to-me spot. And I found Coffee Crossing, which I last visited in 2017 when it was 410 Bakery. Similar to then I found some great baked goods. I bought a cranberry scone and piece of coffee cake to bring home to me. These were delightful and tasted fresh. I also got a cafe miele. I would normally get drip coffee, buy hey, I can make that at home. When out, why not get something different? And this miele was prepared fast and was a great start to my day, with espresso, honey, vanilla and cinnamon. Coffee Crossing also had a great atmosphere inside and out. There was plenty of space to spread out and enjoy a cup. And it has outdoor seating as well. This is a solid coffee shop in New Albany.

I stopped in a few weeks ago after a Sat. morning workshop at Seeds and Greens down the street. The building sits back from the road with parking out front, although I was on foot. I almost missed at first and had to check GPS. Probably wouldn't have been an issue if driving not walking. The lovely, bright space has a semi-open kitchen with seating in the front to one side and a counter towards the back. The guys working were friendly but not too helpful for a first timer (which is why I'm giving four instead of five stars). They didn't offer to show me a menu and the food isn't listed on the board on the wall - only drinks. I ordered a croissant and was about to pay, when I happened to ask about the quiche I'd seen on Yelp. The person ringing me up said, "Yea, we have it, it's our most popular item. We usually sell out on Saturdays." Since he'd already wrapped the pastry, I took it and ordered a slice of quiche. There were other items not listed anywhere and only put out after I had paid. Keep your eyes open and ask about other items because there may be a loaf of bread or some cookies that aren't out yet especially on Sat morning. The caramelized onion and gruyere quiche came out in a few minutes and looked like a dairy ad. The cheese was melty and the custardy filling was soft and oozing out of the pie-shaped wedge. With a buttery short crust, it was almost too rich to finish, but I managed. The croissant was saved for later and it too was a flakey, buttery treat. Now that I now the drill, I can order with more confidence (& get all the goodies I'm looking for in one haul).

Right in the heart of main street. Walked in to a very relaxed and chill environment. The baristas were very helpful and made sure my experience was enjoyable. I got a Americana and a caramel latte. Both were served at the perfect temperature. The were ready to drink instantly. Will definitely be going back.

As much as I am in southern Indiana, I am not sure how it took me so long to find this little spot. It's super cool! The chocolate croissants...wow! Probably the BEST pastry I have ever put in my mouth. It's heaven on your tongue! I have been thinking about it since I left. I also had a latte, they didn't have skim milk but I opted for almond milk. It was super yummy too! I wasn't able to access the wifi, but I also didn't ask either. They have an open kitchen that is probably a great way to see them working their bakery magic! The breads and pastries look too good to eat. This is located in heart of downtown New Albany, it's worth getting off 64 if you are headed west. I visited early on weekday morning. There was one other customer there when I visited. They have a private parking lot, so take advantage of it. I will be back for sure!

The baked goods here are irresistible. I'm obsessed with their cheese danish (honestly, you can't go wrong with any of their pastries). Whether it's a muffin or a fresh-out-of-the-oven cookie, you can taste the love and homemade quality in every bite. On the savory side, the chicken and waffles is a must-try! And don't get me started on their biscuits and gravy--pure comfort food that hits the spot every time. Leavin Bakery is more than just great food... the atmosphere makes you want to stay a little longer. It's super cozy, always friendly, and the perfect neighborhood hangout. I can't wait to come back and explore their lunch menu--if it's anything like breakfast, I know it's going to be amazing.

The bakery and bread items were plentiful and everything looked delicious. The cinnamon roll was our favorite and it will be the reason to return. I also loved my lemon lavender scone, eating half there and taking home the other half for dessert. I wasn't as happy about the sides from the grill. My eggs were extremely peppery and I gave up eating them because every bite was overwhelming. My two slices of bacon were hard and pitiful, definitely not worth the cost. My friend noted her sausage as "interesting". The space has seating at the grill and two rooms, with one being crowded because of the incoming crowd. However, we were so happy to be there that we didn't mind the visitors and no one was rude to us as they walked along the ordering counter. The owners are a husband and wife team. She was friendly and talkative and we loved her the pride she took of the shop. We left with more pastries and bread. Such great selection and pricing. This is a reason to promote this shop. I've paid more for less quality but now know to come to Leaven Bakery.

Sexy Beast is a formidable adversary who refuses to bend to the will of a lesser deity, so I often find myself on a scavenger hunt for a carbohydrate sacrifice while he peruses a humidor or flaps his yap at somebody about his latest commandment or something. That's how I ended up with a box of the most delightful, lovely little lemon cookies ever baked, anywhere. Ever. I wandered into this brightly colored storefront while Sexy Beast was a few doors down (at Kaiser's) and was offered up a brilliant smile and a chipper greeting. The case was filled with sugary manna but my eye was drawn to the ribbon bedecked colorful confections. They were almost too pretty to eat. Almost. The cookies were delicate and light and perfectly sweet with just enough lemon flavor to identify but not so much that it overwhelmed the very obviously real butter and love that went into them. The natives of New Albany were spared the tumult of a hurricane or an erupting volcano thanks to Rookie's Cookies. Y'all might want to thank someone with a goat or a bottle of champagne or something.

We searched for a boba shop nearby (and even not so nearby) and Mochi Wren Boba & Bakery in downtown New Albany came up at the top of the list offering an authentic variety of popular boba tea, coffee, and latte options and also a fusion yummy array of traditional Asian baked goods. Okay, let's go... Not far from Boomtown Kitchen and New Albany Candy Shoppe we walked to this boba cafe. It was a quiet Saturday evening and the we were the only ones in the shop the entire time we were there. We chose coconut milk tea and strawberry fruit tea for our drinks and on the bakery side we got the last two egg tarts left and a chocolate cake roll slice. I love egg tarts and theirs was just like the Hong Kong-style version of the ones we get in San Francisco Chinatown, lightly sweetened, flaky, buttery pastry and smooth. As far as the drinks we both love smoothie or blended drinks and sadly they did not offer this... hopefully, they can add this option to their menu in the future. Instagram: @mochi_wren Review #3879

Because it was bigger than my head (ok, maybe this is a slight exaggeration but not by much) i had to disassemble it to eat it in stages. First off were the waffle fries and I found them to be tasty, crunch and fluffy in all the right spots. Once the taters were off I cut that biggie baby in 8 'Oh My Danwich' slices. Y'all, I rarely find myself at a loss for words, even my high dollar, 10 letter ones, but I can't fill this space with all the adjectives I would want in describing this sanwich that would make you want breakfast for every meal. The sausage had that savory salty pork taste that makes you happy you're not a vegetarian with an egg slice that was fluffier than my German Shepherd's downy fur. The cheese even had a nice pull with the topper being their chive aioli. And that sandwich was just the beginning because I also ordered a Strawberry Cruffin, Bourbon Peach hand pie and a raspberry Danish to have as late night snacks. The handpie didn't do it for me. The peaches lacked flavor that I found myself asking bestie if she wanted it because I was jiat going to toss in the trash after just 2 bites. The strawberry mascarpone cream in the cruffin was silky smooth and berrylicious with the croissant being flaky and fluffy. It was almost like a sweet and savory after school snack. The kind of bakery item that keeps you coming back for more. And more. And the piece de resistance was the raspberry Danish. I've lived my 61 years learning to never turn down raspberry anything and today, my raspberry research paid off. One hundred percent tenfold. Even though the glaze drizzle was super sweet, the flaky danish offset it with that light crunch but fluffy innards. Y'all, with each bite I just fell more in love. The Danish was so good that when I came to my last bite not only was I sad that it would soon be gone but I wanted to cry. Cry y'all. Over a Danish! Yes, do it. You only live once. Order the Danwich & the Danish. You won't be sorry. You can pay me in Butchertown gift cards. Or Bourbon. Hubby's brother lives across the Ohio so, next time he goes to visit them I'm going with him. Just so I can drive over here and try their lunch items and grab more danishes. The folks were super friendly, the place both clean and quiet. Which, kinda surprised me because the food is so good I couldn't understand why there weren't lines around the block. That changed the longer we dined in as folks just started roaming in.
