I will never complain about Komachi sushi. The only time we complain is when we can't get sushi from here because we aren't in Lodi. The service is always excellent the atmosphere is awesome with indoor and outdoor seating available. We went today for lunch and were seated quickly even though they were busy. Everything is always fresh. Probably one of the only places around I will eat uni from. The uni here is always soooo fresh and tasty. We've never been dissatisfied with anything here. I can't say enough great things about this place. Sushi chef Kevin is awesome and always comes to greet us at our table and offers us new things to try. As well as the servers and the owners! This is our go to place to eat whenever we go out. Thank you to all the staff at Komachi! You always go above and beyond and that's why we love you!

First time trying out this Japanese spot. There was no reseveration needed at the time we arrived. We ordered 2 dinner bento boxes and 1 ramen dish. For the bento box my mom order the chicken teriyaki, pork katsu and salmon teriyaki. She said the katsu sauce tasted ok but she tasted better sauce elsewhere. My bento box, I got the salmon teriyaki, chicken teriyaki and fried goyza. My only complaint for the bento would have to be not enough teriyaki sauce. My dad ordered the tonkotsu ramen. I found his dish to be on the salty side. Overall, the food tasted good and portion size was a good amount. Service was quick, attentive and friendly.

    Ankimo double order.

Another awesome meal here! As usual sushi is artistically presented and tasty. Fast and friendly service. Restaurant was packed today but still had prompt seating and service. Today Billie Holiday on the over head, very relaxed atmosphere.

Date night with the wife. I've heard good things about this restaurant and they are true. Very busy but the staff is friendly and knowledgeable about their dishes. It was a cold night and seating was only available outside. However, their set up is very cozy with space heaters and complimentary blankets at each seat. We started off with drinks and Yakitori appetizer. The chicken was well seasoned and tasty. For our main course my wife ordered the hot Ramen soup which she liked a lot. I had the omega 3 and flaming dragon sushi rolls and they did not disappoint; my favorite was the Omega. The papaya sauce was delicious. I look forward to coming back to Komachi. Happy travels !

Komachi has been one of my faves in Lodi for years. The hamachi Kama, hamachi truffle, gyoza, GSW roll, spider man roll, cowboy, and code 3 are our favorites on the menu. Last night we stopped in for date night and everything was great like it always is. Service is always good, I just wish they were open a little later in the evening.

This is always my go to spot! Whenever I'm craving sushi. The service was quick. It was already busy after opening within the first hour. Ambience was cute, we got seated outside and they had blankets for us to use if wanted. I thought that was very considerate. We ordered two bento boxes. Chicken katsu, beef teriyaki, chicken teriyaki for the main dish and had other things and then ordered code 3 and flaming dragon. Everyone should try the code 3 . It's a must. The only concern I had was the calamari. It was very tough and very hard to chew. Other than that, the flavor was there and the presentation. I didn't think it was a big deal, but wished it was more tender. Overall, always a great experience and great food Highly recommend this place! 10/10 Hope one day they can have another one in Lathrop/ Manteca area

Review #954 Posted on 10.20.25 We came here for dinner after my son's game at Lodi (The Grape Bowl) for dinner. To be honest this experience ended up being super unexpected & a pleasant surprise for a dinner/meal. I was looking places up on Yelp, and this one was 2nd down list when searching Sushi, probably for distance from where we were when searching. This place had over 1K reviews and an overall rating in the 4's. That's not a coincidence in my experience using this app over the years. The main reason out of the many this spot gets 5 stars was our server Jorge. This guy was insanely good. He was super calm, cool, & on top of everything with perfect timing yet without seeming overbearing. Hard to pull off. They had blankets on their chairs outside, nice touch, hook, line, & sinker my wife with that one. Now the food. Calamari- Nice portion size. Most places deep fry theirs, this place didn't, it was fried but not deep so you could taste the chewyness of the squid. Stuffed Mushrooms- These were 4 fat breaded fried mushrooms. There's some sweet sauce topped on the mushrooms, it had great texture & taste. The mushroom stuffing was really good. Flaming Dragon- This roll was awesome. It came on a long plate that had salt on the bottom, the roll wrapped in foil, then lit on fire. Wait about 4 minutes, then they unwrap it. The roll is kind of smoked like with a slight bit of crunch on the rice, super unique and it was tasty too. 100% recommend & we will be back.

We walked in on a Tuesday evening. A few friends and I decided to try komachi. It's been years since we've been here and wanted to check it out. We were greeted fairly quick, and seated quick. Our order was taken fast and the restaurant is small inside, but there was outdoor seating as well with propane heaters. We shared appetizers which included fried calamari and spicy garlic Edamame. For our sushi, we all ordered our own items, but I went with a Philadelphia roll and a San Francisco roll. Which all tasted amazing. We would be back.

Food was amazing. Customer service from the waiters was also very good. They were all nice. They have both indoor and outdoor seating.

My favorite Japanese restaurant in Lodi! We always come here to celebrate special occasions. Even friends from Sacramento make the drive just to eat here! The fish is incredibly fresh--like the uni, which comes straight from Hokkaido, Japan. You can really taste the quality. One of my must-orders is the Ika Shioyaki, perfectly grilled and seasoned. And if you like a little kick, don't miss the Flaming Dragon roll, sooooo good! Their Bento Box is also a standout. Unlike most places that let you pick just 2 items, Komachi lets you choose 3‼ and it's a great deal for the quality you get.:) The owner lived in Japan as a child, and the authenticity comes through in the food. Friendly staff, great service! This place never disappoints.

The only picture I got was before the food came out. We devoured the food as soon as it came out.

The service was great, specially with the big party that I had. The sushi's were amazing. My ladies and I ordered all different sushi's to try out. It was awesome. Drinks were delicious also, cute and not enough lol. Highly recommend for a date night or even just a casual day for some good sushi. Food was so good, I didn't get to take any picture of it!

Tank roll - it's a unique tasty roll and the picture shows half eaten roll and nigiri is good! Food is ok, sometimes dry over cooked salmon, chicken. Good service cute place.

Came in for lunch and ordered the GSW roll, miso soup, salad, garlic chili edamame, and jalapeño bombs. The GSW roll is my favorite here and, as always, it was really good. I love the crunch from the deep-fried scallops on top, it's what makes this roll stand out for me. The miso soup was average and lacked depth of flavor; I've had better at other sushi spots. The salad was basic mixed greens with a simple dressing - fine, but nothing memorable. I usually enjoy the edamame here, but this time it was disappointing. We ordered the garlic chili edamame, but there was no noticeable garlic or chili flavor, and it definitely could have used some salt. Overall, it was very bland. The jalapeño bombs are sliced jalapeños filled with cream cheese and crab meat, breaded in panko, and fried. They were nice and crunchy and didn't skimp on the crab, which I appreciated. However, they were lacking flavor. The jalapeños were very mild, so there wasn't much heat or overall punch. The restaurant is located in a large shopping center with plenty of parking. There is both indoor and outdoor seating available. Our waitress was friendly and checked on us multiple times. Inside seating is on the smaller side, and it can get quite loud during the dinner rush, making it less kid-friendly. This spot is still in my regular rotation for sushi, but this visit just didn't hit the mark like it usually does.

Sooooo, I pay myself with sushi sometimes. This is acceptable, yeah, cuz either I try to save $25, which would eventually get spent anyway, or use it on something valuable. The value of sushi or sashimi with vegetables, is that it contains your alphabet Vitamins A, B, C, and D; plus, the greatly beneficial Omega-3. We were the only customers and got there around 6:30. I'm giving grace for that because it was a very slow night and they were probably just chit chatting in the back. I would've had no issue giving this 5 stars if it wasn't for that one small thing. Service otherwise was very friendly and quick The food was fantastic! As a Japanese American who's been eating sushi since I was in the womb, I have to disagree with the yelper who recently said the rolls are too small and too expensive. The rolls we ordered were huge and the fish was very fresh and on par with M sushi and Komachi. Is it a luxurious loungy city style vibe? No. But the food is great and the prices are fair imo for the extremely fresh and delicious fish. We ordered two bowls of miso, salmon tataki roll (I only wished for more onions!), the spicy crunchy scallop roll (my new favorite roll in Lodi), snow crab CA roll, and I think the last one was a dragon roll with unagi. Our order was take by computer that is in your table. We ordered: Steamed pork buns, shrimp fried rice, orange chicken, and shrimp rice ramen noodle. I will start with the best dishes: I will give the steamed pork buns an AA rating. They were buttery soft and were not filled with pork that has a lot of fat. I don't like biting into my pork bun and bite into a lot of pork that is crunching in my mouth. I hate that!!! This bun is just a little sweet, but tasty. The orange chicken was presented very nicely with thin orange slices decorating the plate. The grandchildren & I really enjoyed this dish. The shrimp fried rice was served cold, but had plenty plump shrimp which surprised me. I am not a fan of peas & carrots but the grandchildren liked it. The shrimp ramen noodle was not a hit with the three of us. It probably would do better as a ramen soup, it lacked in taste big time, so in some broth with a little seasonings I am sure would make a big difference. The plus of this dish was it too had plenty plump shrimp. I don't come out to Trinity Parkway often and I don't know if I would try this place again. The restaurant is not big inside; a little tight. There are some tables for two and some for four. The biggest table is for six and is in the front. Customers were coming in picking up their orders as well as Door Dash & Uber Eats.
