    - decent but slow- Food: 4 stars Price: 3 stars Service: 3 stars Ambiance: 3 stars Overall: 3.25 stars We came in around 1:30pm on a Saturday and it's empty, so we got to use one of their reserved parking spot in front of the restaurant. The restaurant is small and has 19 seats. They were playing American pop and it feels like a grab and go place instead of a restaurant. We were greeted upon entry and the waitress gave us the menu without a smile on her face. The price is on the higher end, so we ordered a spicy chicken teriyaki for $15.75 and a magu ham roll for $18.25. The price is comparable to the Thai place in the same plaza, but that place has a huge serving size. Despite being empty without us, the food took more than 10 minutes.. a bit slow, but it's decent. The fish in the roll was fresh and the spicy teriyaki was decent. It's not the siracha type of spicy, but more subtle. A good thing is that they are not stingy about sauce, so I can see why everyone likes this place. I'm fine either way, so it was a bit too saucy for me (both the salad and the teriyaki bowl). Overall it's a good restaurant to eat around Kirkland Costco, the food was fresh but just a bit slow.

Well considering I've been a pretty good customer I don't eat here weekly but i definitely am someone that when I come in they know me and I order the same thing Everytime a salmon roll a spicy tuna roll and a sashimi yellow tail. As soon as I get home mind you I live 10 mins away put in fridge as soon as I get home as it already seemed warm when they handed it to me. Mind you I also use to be a sushi chef and Fish definitely should be at a very cold temperature so not sure why any of the fish was warm as I felt it as soon as I got in my vehicle. I walked my dog while I let it try to get cold probably a good 95 mins went by. I came outside to eat it and as I am eating it I'm like what is that god awful taste and I'm questioning something I'm not going to and risk food poisoning. The yellow tail I ate and both 2 pieces tasted terrible. I ate the first one and I questioned it...then I was like is this just me or is this really tasting like this. I ate the second and I'm like oh it's definitely this. Then as I'm eating the spicy tuna roll that was so spicy I could barely eat it mind you also it was my first and only time eating today so yeah I was hungry. Not hungry enough to have food poisoning so when I stopped eating it for a minute I had this horrible left over taste in my mouth.Hence the spit out half chewed one where my gut is telling me stop eating it before you get very sick and next thing I know I am in the bathroom from this. I called the restaurant cause I've never had a bad order here but maybe because of how things are getting so expensive they are cutting corners. I definitely can recognize the food is not being stored at the proper temperatures and I'm calling the health department tomorrow. Sushi, seafood, shellfish, is not a joke if you get sick. It's not something you overcharge people for and them think no one will notice food is not being properly stored. I am a little surprised but then again I'm really not as I already gave them a couple chances and the prices for sushi in a restaurant that has zero ambience and there is nothing about why this is $40 sushi. I have no issues paying for food and especially good food. I do however have an issue with something like this when they think someone won't notice. It's just not right. I'm also someone to rarely write reviews but not only is the only meal I've attempted to eat today ruined but so it my now appetite I was waiting all day for and now I am once again reminded why I personally cook at my house. I can trust my food. Sadly this whole place is just turning into a whole city of corrupt everything. Some people may tolerate just one but I'm not one of them and this isn't ok!!!

Crazy salmon roll, Baked Seafood Roll

One of the best, freshest tasting sushi you can find in the area! On top of that, it's got the cozy vibes of a mom and pop sushi place, and the hostess I always pleasant. Would highly recommend for a chill date night out or catching up with a friend.

I got the salmon bento and side of avocado rolls. The sweet, nutty, flavorful dressing of the salad was so addictive and refreshing! It's not the overdone same sesame dressing, whatever it is, I wish they sold it by the gallon. The miso soup was classic, not overly salty either. The silken tofu was delicious as well! The gyoza had a cabbage pork filling and was very crispy. Not a huge fan of the spicy tuna roll, perhaps due to the minced paste like texture, I think that's just my personal preference rather than a quality issue. The California roll was done well, nicely rolled too! This place offers one of the better nigiri's I've had in Washington. Super buttery, huge, and smooth.

Cute, lil unassuming sushi spot on a strip mall. I got the poke bowl ($17.75) and it was good! :) Fish was of okay quality. My friends split a variety of rolls and drinks, which they all enjoyed. Staff is limited so they are a bit slow, but very nice.

What a pleasant surprise! After driving by it for months, my adult son and I walked to Kmorebi for dinner on a recent cold night to try it out. From the moment we opened the door it felt warm and welcoming. Not only was the food amazing, it was beautiful to look at. The decor was perfect and notably clean throughout. It was quiet (very few in-house diners) but looked like they were doing a good take-out service. The sushi chef stayed busy at the counter and the server was attentive and gracious. Please give this spot a try. It's gems like this that I'd hate for the community to lose.

Came here for a quick lunch while in the area. It was early and nobody else there. Ordered Seattle roll and spicy tuna roll. Both were good, nothing special. I liked the little amount of rice and fish tasted fresh. Clean place and it's in a plaza with a parking lot. Old come back to try other rolls. But prices seem high for simple rolls. Although I think prices are high everywhere lately

Great service and more importantly great food!! This is a small cute place at the corner of one of the plazas in Kirkland (near Costco). Lots of parking nearby and 2 or 3 right infront of the restaurant specifically for Komorebi customers. We were a table of 3 and got to try 3 rolls, and a bento box. Check out the photos! Highly recommend the Barbie roll (my favorite) and the Fire Kiss roll. Good fresh delicious sushi to try out if you haven't already!!

Love love love the food. The atmosphere is always so calm, would recommend dining in if you need a breath of calm

I wanted to try a new to me sushi place for dinner and ordered takeout from Komorebi Sushi & Rolls. I got Crab Sunomono, Spicy Tuna Roll, and Crazy Salmon Roll. I loved the Spicy Tuna Roll, and Crazy Salmon Roll, they were both great. Crab Sunomono was a disappointing, the description said cucumber salad with crab meat. I got cucumber salad with imitation crab meat. I would not have ordered it if I knew I was getting imitation crab.

Alaska roll (top) and shrimp tempura roll (bottom)

This is a preliminary review as I definitely want to come back to try their other items. My husband wanted to try their rolls here and they were still doing their grand opening promotion so we decided to give it a try. We got the Alaska roll and the shrimp tempura roll. I definitely like the shrimp tempura roll more the Alaska roll. The Alaska roll seaweed was chewy, the fish skin was also chewy and it was wrapped pretty loosely so it 2 of the pieces fell apart. The size of the roll was big compare to other places but not that big. I heard of other interesting items on the menu soni Definitely want to come back to try but I think I will avoid the rolls for now as they were just ok

Second time eating from here--this time I got it to go and it still exceeded my expectations. The owners are so nice as well. I got the salmon & tuna bento box with some nigiri on the side: -yellowtail, scallop, and creamy scallop. Delicious! If you're thinking about it just do it!

It seems like they have one person waiting the tables for the whole restaurant while also acting as the host. Kudos to him. FOOD Agedashi tofu: it feels like they repurpose me their tofu from another dish for this. It was made with FIRM tofu and was not the right texture. Okonomiyaki (Japanese pancake): a bit thicker than I'd like but the flavor was good and had a lot of veggies. Udon: this was a surprise. Didn't use the typical brown memmi broth but rather a clear, maybe dashi?, broth. Full of flavor and kids loved it. Ramen: pretty decent. Noodles were cooked well and I'd definitely order this again if I come back. SERVICE Food comes out erratically as it's completed by the kitchen. Appetizers never came out. Server offered to take the tofu and appetizer off our bill. Overall, great service. VERDICT For the price, this place is quite reasonable. There are some dishes that are great, and others that are just okay.

When I first stepped in the door, I was so glad I brought a light jacket with me even though it was 80 degrees outside. I'm not sure why, but the restaurant had the A/C turned up so high that even the people eating next to us had their puffer coats on. Even with my coat on though, I was still cold. The interior is small and modern. However, the tables and menus were extremely and unpleasantly sticky. The soy sauce bottle was also empty at our table. I ordered the HAPPY HOUR CHIRASHI BOWL ($22 which is half the size and price of the usual $44 Chirashi Bowl off their main menu). It came with two pieces of salmon, two pieces of albacore, two pieces of hamachi, and two pieces of some other tuna (or maybe it was mackerel) plus tamago (egg), and Ikura (salmon roe) on top of their signature purple rice. The presentation was nice, but the fish quality lacked. The albacore in particular was so chewy I had trouble biting through it and so I knew it wasn't fresh; I ate one piece but left the other in the bowl because I didn't want to chance it. Regardless, my stomach regretted it later in the evening and the next day... Service was fine, but we had to waive down the waiter both to order and get our check. When he asked if I wanted a box for my piece of albacore, I told him it was too chewy and he said sorry and walked away. Overall, I was unfortunately disappointed by my experience at Kuro. For a recommended place on Yelp, I expected a better environment and fresh fish. Overall: 2/5 for food, 3/5 for service, 2/5 for atmosphere

The contents change day to day, but I got chicken teriyaki over rice, 3 pieces of a crab roll, 2 pieces of fish nigiri, seaweed salad with some small octopi. Everything in the box was decent except the teriyaki, which was a bit rubbery. As for the Super Bad Boy roll, it's one of their fried rolls, and the frying made the roll taste a bit dry.
