    Salmon roll and California roll
    Jaehyung C.

I was very pleasantly surprised by how affordable and delicious the rolls were! The gimbap rolls are made fresh to order and are made very well. They use sushi ingredients, and I was blown away by how good the California roll was. The salmon roll had thick salmon pieces, and tasted great especially with the ginger and wasabi. I got the regular-sized rolls, and thought they were pretty large. 2 rolls were a big snack for 2 people. Will definitely return!

Absolutely delicious & affordable! I have ordered here before usually for the California roll (which is amazing) but id always wanted to dine in person! I had the bulgogi ssam bento box & would definitely order again. Staff were super patient & friendly

Small spot in Redmond plaza with yummy bentos and perfect filling sushi rolls. I had the California Maki ($8.25) and Veggie Maki ($8.25) - both were excellent, very large, and had a perfect rice to filling ratio. The CA Maki had a wonderful, creamy sweet kani filling. The veggie maki was crunchy and lovely. Casual, cafeteria like interior. We ordered and ate in for a bit until kicked us out exactly at 2 pm lol. I want to come back for the bentos for sure!

No nonsense Maki joint that is also affordable. I ordered spicy tuna , Donkatsu bento and chicken karage using the kiosk. I am still not convinced why there is a default tip starting 15% when there is no service provided. Needless to say I tip generously. Anyways maki was great. Just minimum amount rice and some fresh cucumber as well. Both Katsu and karage were very lightly fried.

Sushi rolls and bentos... two things that I love! Located in the Whole Foods shopping area, this is a cute restaurant that operates like a quick eats spot where customers order at the counter. I observed that many people also opted for takeout too. They have a variety of sodas and drinks for purchase, or you can help yourself to the water dispenser to the left of the counter. The three of us ordered three bentos and two maki rolls. Our maki was served first, followed by our bentos a few minutes later. Everything was plated neatly and we marveled at the generous serving sizes. + SPICY TUNA MAKI ($9.25): Huge! The rolls contained at least double the amount of tuna compared to your average roll and it was spicier than anticipated (a good thing)! The thin cucumbers added a refreshing crisp and a little green onion was tucked inside. I would have liked a little more green onion, but the roll was still fantastic and satisfying. + AVO-KYU MAKI ($7.50): The avocado was smooth, creamy and nutty, paired with the crunchy cucumber. It was a wholesome and healthy roll. Both maki had a very thin layer of rice... one of the thinnest I have ever seen. The menu also offers a few unique options of Keto Maki which contains no rice whatsoever, only fillings! + SPICY PORK YAKINIKU BENTO ($16.50): The super thin slices of pork were very tender and mixed in a spicy gochujang sauce with some sautéed onions. It came steaming hot and really packed the heat. Some rice and a vegetarian japchae came on the side. I enjoyed the chew of the glass noodles and it was a nice component to the bento, which you don't see often. For those who want the traditional soup and salad with their meal, it will cost an extra $4.50. The staff is very kind, prepares their dishes with care and treats their customers well. When a group of 10 people entered on a whim, one of the employees quickly moved tables around to accommodate them with no hesitation, and was patient with them as they pondered over their orders. I will definitely be back!

Food: the food is delicious! I'm pregnant so all I could order for their maki rolls was the California but it's so good I can't wait to come back to try other rolls. I also ordered the mixed katsu which is a very large portion I had to share with my husband! Service: the service was quick and easy. The staff was really nice. Ambiance: casual restaurant, I really like their playlist.

Such good value! Can easily get a delicious meal for less than $25! I didn't even know they were related to donburi station which I enjoy going to as well. Delicious tonkatsu, tasty japchae, and some value rolls. May not be the best tonkatsu or rolls you ever had, but for a lunch, this is more than enough to leave you satisfied and your belly smiling. Definitely coming back if I'm in the area! Ordering online to pick up was very smooth as well so I recommend it as a perfect lunch spot.

This is my second time coming here, and it's a decent, casual restaurant for bentos and maki rolls. I'm always impressed by the generous filling for the maki, and the menu items are also pretty affordable! Food service is around 15 min max, and utensils, soy sauce and water are self-serve. Today, I ordered the spicy tuna maki roll, and a few weeks back, I got the spicy pork maki roll. In both instances, I shared a mixed tonkatsu bento, and tonight I also tried some of the spicy pork bento. Having both of the spicy maki rolls, I can confidently say I'm not a fan of the minced texture for the meat. I think this is a standard though, since I've eaten a similarly textured tuna roll in a different restaurant a few years back. Overall, not my preference. The bento, however, is pretty solid! I really enjoyed the flavor of the Japchae, and I feel like any meat option has a generous portion. The presentation of the food is also well done, and ambiance/restaurant space is clean and fun! Overall, I'm happy to have a new, convenient restaurant in the east side, and I'd be interested to see what is their most popular maki roll. I'm happy to come back and try more options!

This has been on my list for a while now and since it was on the way, I decided to give a try. The place is located in the same plaza as whole foods so parking is not an issue. It's a small shop but there's a few tables for dine in. I decided to try Large ebi maki roll: ingredients was fresh, it was soft and flavorful. I wish it was a little bigger though considering the picture and description. Mixed katsu bento: the rice and japcjae was really good. The mixed katsu was a little disappointing though. I couldn't tell the differences in the katsu and they were dry and tough. Overall though, it's good enough that I want to go back to try other stuff.

Good place for no frills Japanese food! Nicely decorated for a casual setting & has classics- udon, bento boxes with katsu, sides like takoyaki, and a wide variety of rolls. Unfortunately they ran out of japchae later at night - would have liked to try that - so they subbed it for seaweed salad which wasn't as good. Miso soup & salad weren't worth the 4.5 additional in my opinion, would just get the set by itself next time. Good flavors though and fast service, decent prices without the additional miso and salad, it was about $25 a person when I went with friends.

Nice quick casual stop for a simple but comforting meal. We walked in about 45 min before they closed and under the promise that we'd eat fast they let us do dine in. We got 4 rolls between 2 people: the maki stand roll, katsu roll, spicy pork roll, and the tuna roll. The presentation on the cutting board was satisfying and each roll is 10 pieces so 40 pieces total. The spicy pork was probably the most flavorful but my favorite was the maki stand roll (i don't eat raw fish so I didn't try the tuna roll). We had like 5 pieces leftover maybe and I had a tennis match right after and didn't even feel weighed down.

I love this Japanese restaurant. Very simple and very good. It's a small place but with clean aesthetics. I have tried the Katsu Chicken here and was never disappointed. One thing I would say so the flavour here is something you would eventually get bored of. The side sauce is also pretty nice and I don't exactly know what kind of noodles these are possibly flat rice noodles but they are so good. It is served cold. In the past I have tried the miso soup as well and it was kind of expected - bland and a bit salty. But if you live close by - this spot is worth visiting. The disappointment for me has been that the place has erratic hours. Sometimes I have visited the place only to find that it was closed. Google didn't got the timing right. Or their business run so good that they don't care.

Wonderful new addition to Redmond. We stopped in for rolls, bentos and a hot bowl of udon. Love the casual vibes and affordability. My kiddos loved the Cali roll and kitsune udon. Service was great. Staff helped guide us through the menu and answer our questions. We'll definitely be back since I loved their katsu combo bento.

I ordered spicy tuna and salmon. I expected they were good because of many good reviews but they were kind of fishy and not so fresh.

Upon arrival, a printed menu was waiting at our table listing each course, which I thought was a thoughtful touch. In a way, I know what we would be having that evening and able to take it home as a memory of the experience. We had bar seating so we were able to watch the chef and sous chef work together throughout the service. Every dish was artfully plated with well balanced flavors. I recommend Towa for a special occasion, celebration dinner, or anyone looking for an elevated dining experience in the area.

I booked about a month in advance…read morefor a 6:30pm bar seating, the $250 premium option which included A5 wagyu Filet mignon and some other high-quality choices. We were reminded by the text system a day and an hour in advance, and since it's tucked away in a plaza in Redmond, it's got plenty of parking. The only issue you may have is not knowing where the door is, because there's no big sign - the towa sign next to the doorway is smaller than the window panel in the door. When you step in, you feel a sense of quiet and calm - because that's what it is. Nori Morita (of the I love sushi group in Bellevue) runs a music-less, authentic Japanese kaiseki experience here. There's 6 seats at the counter, and maybe about 10-12 seats in the surrounding tables. It's a small space but it doesn't feel cramped. There's one all-gender bathroom and one single-stall female bathroom at the very back. Service throughout the meal was generally polite, courteous, and proactive. My water glass and the missus' tea were never left below half. They cleared each course quickly as we finished it, and the meal pacing is such that Nori can keep up with you, even if he's making all six counter dishes and all 12 table dishes at once. It's kind of like a maestro orchestra, but he has plenty of helpers - at least two wait staff, and an additional one or two sous chefs that are handling the auxiliary things around him. Food: while the meal was overall satisfying and filling, there was no standout highlight, or any particular dish that disappointed. It wasn't "meh", but it didn't really wow either the missus or I. I'm sure it'll be forgettable in a few weeks, which is the main reason for 4 stars - it's a bit more pricey than I'd expect for something this high quality. It qualifies for top 10 Omakase / Kaiseki in Seattle by nature of having high end ingredients and baseline high service quality, but those are table stakes given the competition.. The Miyazaki A5 wagyu was genuinely a decent portion size, but given that I've had it before, I guess maybe I expected a deeper flavour profile? The dish that I enjoyed the novelty the most was the Shabu Shabu king salmon - being able to eat sashimi-grade King salmon that you dip into boiling hot soup was a fun treat that definitely elevated the fattiness in the taste profile. Drinks: besides water, the missus ordered the hot hojicha tea, and I got the seasonal sake flight for $39. It was a decent selection, but it was heavily overpriced for the quality of sake and the amount you got. At most I'd expect to pay $25 for four 2oz pours, especially since one overlaps with Ltd Edition (kokuryu - black dragon). Verdict: it's lower half of the top 10 in Seattle - but it's still worth going if you want to celebrate something with high quality service and ingredients. I personally probably wouldn't do the $250 version again, but I'd be interested in doing the other ones. We both enjoyed ourselves - but idk if it's worth $700 for two people (service charge of 20% is added, plus tax...), so take that for what you will. Fun coincidence: all three couples seated at the counter when we were there were celebrating an anniversary - 11th for the farther couple, and 18th for the couple next to us. So for what it's worth - this place is definitely a destination for those that want to celebrate something.
