Thai Iced Tea (post-shake)
Jeana L.

Grabbed myself a Thai Iced Tea at Komsan which is conveniently located inside the RD International Market Food court. The Thai Tea was very refreshing with a good amount of sweetness. The kitchen also offers a variety of other beverages including boba teas and serves desserts and main Thai dishes such as the Pad Thai, papaya salad, Tom Yum and Thai curry. Recommend to stop by if you're craving Thai Tea!

Really cool food court within RD international, and while they have limited servings, what they do have they do well. Thai food was great and while the ambience is like being in a food court of a mall, I still found it fun to look over it all the Goods from outside of our country. We intentionally ate first, so we could get a lay of the land. Once we were done eating, we went down almost every aisle of the store for future shopping list. by the way, if anybody has eaten seafood from here, from one of their tanks and can give me some honest feedback, I would love that. Here's what we had at Komsan: Pad Thai - wonderful my daughter said it was one of the best that she'd had and she's very. Penang curry - my dish, really flavorful broth with a mild kick of spice. Too much to eat at one sitting. Mango with sticky rice - less sweet than I have had previously, but I liked this version. Service was fantastic, order at the counter and your food is brought to you along with the food you get chopsticks, napkins, forks, spoons, etc. I was really impressed with the service, the gentleman that served us really wanted to make sure we had a good meal. Since there were limited menu options, this would not be a destination for me. But if I go back to RD Internationsl I certainly would love to eat here again.

Finally got a chance to try the new Thai stall at RD International Market and I'm happy I did! The pad Thai was familiar but much different than others that I've tried. The flavor was more subtle, but definitely there. The most balanced pad Thai I've had here in Jax. I asked for it spicy, but I don't think they alter spice levels. Definitely add the crushed chili peppers for a kick, I would stay away from the sugar as pad Thai is usually sweet enough. Portions were great, and they don't skimp on the protein. The noodles were al dente which I enjoyed. I waited until I got home to eat the rest which allowed the noodles to cook more, and absorb the sauce which made it even better! Great service as well, very kind owner.

This is a new restaurant inside RD international market! OMG, the food was so good! Had the chicken satay and Thai pink milk. They make their food fresh daily and you can tell. They were super sweet and even the packaging was cute. I love restaurants that do just that little extra. The bag had mints and menu attached with a pen! There is a lot to choose from but I will pick them each time.

Nice place to have authentic Thai food, very clean and great presentation, friendly Thai owner. You have to try grandma recipe, sweet sticky rice with mango.

I love Thai ice tea.

The food and drink and dessert are very good and refreshing. I love crab Rangoon, larb chicken and ice cream with sticky rice.

I can honestly say with all the times I have been there and it's more than I can count, never have. I had a bad meal! The food is always the freshest and it's always served piping hot. Their vegetables are just crunchy enough to know they're fresh but still have their flavor. Their portions are ginormous. You definitely get your moneys worth with the highest quality dinner or lunch you could ever ask. The service beyond stellar! Because I go there so much and they know me so well I don't even have to tell them what I want to drink they bring it automatically. They truly treat their customers like family and that's a rarity these days! They truly care about their customers and they remember who they are. I listened to them with other tables and they take just as an active interest in them as they do Me. That's the sign of quality. I love the ambience because they always have fresh flowers and they're always dust free. So many times you'll go into places in the plants have dust on them not here. Someone truly takes care of the greenery and it is green! It's also very interesting to watch the TV screens as they do demonstrations of various Thai food preparation. I've been to numerous Thai places in Jacksonville. None can hold a candle to this one. Moreover, when I lived on the West Coast in California and I went to some fantastic Thai restaurants, they don't compare to this one! You can never go wrong here.

Prior reservations were made so we were quickly seated. The aesthetics of this place is so nice and the service is on the same level. The food came out quickly and I loved the portion sizes on everything. Everything we ordered was 10/10. The curry with the roti was a little spicy but still so flavorful. I ordered the veggie fried basil rice and spring rolls which were all amazing. My friend loved her ragoons and the sushi seemed to impress everyone who ordered. The food is plated in a way that tells you the kitchen cares. I did love the little robot that was moving around helping the waitresses. Overall this was a great experience and I'm happy to see Uber Eats offers their rice bogo .

We were bringing the whole family and hoping for a fun night, but unfortunately the experience didn't match the ratings. From the start, the tone felt off. When I called to make the reservation, the host immediately said, "We don't seat incomplete parties. We only wait 5 minutes or we give the table away." The policy itself is understandable, but the delivery came across harsh and unwelcoming. A more thoughtful approach like, "We kindly ask that your full party arrives within 5 minutes, otherwise we may need to seat other guests," would have felt very different. When we arrived early and asked if we could be seated sooner (with the rest of our party just minutes away), we were met with the same response again, which felt unnecessary given that there were several empty tables. Unfortunately, the service inside didn't improve. Our initial waiter was inattentive and at times dismissive. We had to ask for basic things like utensils and plates for shared appetizers, and the responses often came with an unwelcoming tone. At one point, when I asked for a plate and knife to share, the interaction became uncomfortable, and I ended up asking to speak with someone. The situation was handled poorly, and the waiter did not return. On the food side, I ordered the Massaman chicken curry at the lowest spice level, and it was still too spicy to enjoy. That said, most of my family did enjoy their meals, which I appreciated. Thankfully, a different waitress stepped in later and was kind and attentive--if the service had been like that from the beginning, the experience likely would have been very different. I also spoke with the manager, Jorge, who was receptive to the feedback and said he would address the issues, which I did appreciate. Overall, I was really disappointed given the strong reviews and the lively atmosphere happening around us. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I wouldn't return.

There are stairs, but if you walk straight through to the host/hostess stand at Dorothy's, there is a small elevator available. The décor was nice and there was a decent amount of seating available, enough to accommodate our group of 10 and another large group at the table next to ours. It looked like people came here with their families for special occasions. There was only one person working to cover everything from seating, take out, serving, etc., and he did an amazing job of staying on top of everything. He even took the time to explain to me that they recently decided to make their entire menu (save for the fried items) gluten free due to many requests they'd received from their customers. It was so nice to eat at a place that was so considerate! Their menu is definitely more fusion than authentic. I asked the server for a recommendation and he told me his favorite is the Curry Fried Rice, but it was a big portion, so I opted for his second favorite, the Drunken Noodles. I asked about the spice levels and asked for mine to be more spicy. It wasn't as spicy as I hoped, so I asked for a spice tray and added several spoonfuls of various chili flakes and peppers. My colleagues got the yellow curry and said it was basically flavorless, but they liked their Drunken Noodles. I'm thankful to have the gluten free option, but I was missing the essence of the classic/authentic flavor. Overall, the décor, ambience, and service was great, but the food was just okay.

We ordered two rolls: the Las Vegas roll (salmon, mango, and cream cheese) and a specialty Phoenix roll with spicy tuna inside, topped with lobster salad, tobiko, and avocado, served with wasabi mayo sauce. The rolls were a decent size, but the flavors didn't really stand out and felt like a slight miss. For an entrée, I ordered the Thai fried rice--specifically the Thai Special basil fried rice with chicken, beef, shrimp, and egg. I chose heat level #2, which was just right. However, there were only four small pieces of shrimp, which felt skimpy. The portion size was what I expected, but was disappointed to find a paper wrapper mixed into the fried rice. This was a phone order for two people, yet we were only given one set of chopsticks and one soy sauce container. Small details like that matter. For a first experience, this place fell short of expectations. The restaurant was pretty packed for a Wednesday night, and the ambiance looked welcoming and comfortable. Maybe dining in would be a better experience. Pricing was also slightly higher compared to other Thai restaurants in the area.
