Kona cleaner use to be a great dry cleaning spot. However, they have been going downhill for a while. One time they burned one of my button down shirt and it took months of going back and forth for them to reimburse me. They gave me half the price of the new shirt. For this review they have just become SCAMMERS! I use to pay top $10 on one pair of button down for dry cleaning and with out even letting me know that they increase they charged me $25 per shirt. She told me " it's brand name" a shirt is a shirt period. Look the receipt for proof. There are better drycleaner places in Hills that treat you honestly. They don't scam you. Legit they added worthless add ones to the shirt like stuffed sleeves. Who cares about stuffed sleeves it's a shirt. read more

I am an understating person, I know business are run by people therefore mistakes happen. But when a business, lacks the professionalism to figure out the error and apologize, then in my opinion a bad review is earned. I paid a total of $53.03 to Kona Cleaners of Anaheim Hills for laundry services, instead, they lost track of all my clothing (as in they had no idea where my laundry was at) including a suit that cost me over $400.00. I took the clothes on December 3 for Friday pickup, as I had 2 special events on Saturday, December 7th. Apart from the fiasco of them having no idea who had the laundered clothes, I missed 1/2 of the 1st event( the type of event that happens once in a lifetime) and ended up being late to the second event that was scheduled a few hours after the morning event. In the aftermath of all the WRONGS Kona Cleaners did, and the lack of urgency of the situation has left me feeling sad. As I cannot move back the clock, and in the end my family and I missed portions of two imporant family events! read more

I really like Kona Cleaners. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and our clothing looks wonderful after they're cleaned here. We recently started bringing our clothes here a few months back. Kona Cleaners is very efficient. After you bring your items in, you receive a notice by text or email that your things are ready. I like this convenience. We've noticed that buttons are replaced and stains removed, even without us asking. After our first visit here we received really thoughtful thank you note. They seriously go the extra mile! I've also been told they'll deliver to your home. They'll deliver to most local neighborhoods once or twice a week for free. If I could give a zero star, I would CARLOS the "manager" had zero customer service I scheduled to pick up. No one showed up and he said too late the driver already passed by he had zero urgency to correct the matter and in fact called me, a liar he then proceeded to hang up on me. I have never been treated by anyone in the customer service industry like this! CARLOS needs to be fired ASAP. I am so upset that I saw all my clothes hanging on my door while I am traveling in Orlando. And it's Tuesday!! When I dropped off my clothes, the lady told me that they would deliver on every Monday and Thursday. I told her that please please deliver my clothes on Thursday since I wouldn't be home till Thursday. She agreed. Now I found my clothes were left on my front door and they would be there for another two days. I am not sure if they are aware it's not a safe place any longer. Text "On My Way" and your stuff is waiting when you get there. Amanda is great. Always a friendly smile, hello and thank you. Prices are reasonable especially for the quality of work. It's not only that, they double check your clothes when you pick them up. They also have a "cleaners only" parking spot right out front which makes cleaning your clothes easy peazy. I have been using this cleaners for years and they have always been consistent. This location also has alterations and sewing repairs including buttons and fasteners. They do a good job at this and they are usually pretty quick. They have free cleaning foe service men. Overall, this is a great cleaners and I am a fan and then some! read more

This is 1st time I went to this store. Got bad feeling. Regretting for choosing this one. I have a Vince brand off white wool coat, its second time wearing it. Because of milk boba tea spill so I sent it for dry clean. From beginning what I was told by Amanda that already made me kind of uncomfortable. She emphasized that no guarantee to remove the stain. The coat didn't have obvious stain ( see pictures) but I was concerned that in the future the milk would turn out with some stain. I thought what she said its just routine reminder, my coat doesn't have stain to remove anyways. Since its a nice and almost brand new piece so I agree to pay for the stain removal. It costed almost $30 for the cleaning. When I went to pickup and immediately I saw the bold spot so I told Amanda. Her explanation was: oh this is the stain spot. Me: no, it was on right side. Not this side. Her: we can iron it make it will be fine. Me: no the top layer is gone, iron can't help. Her: it must be there before, we didn't do anything on this side. Me: I don't think so, it is new, you and I would see it if it was like this. Then she asked me to show the purchasing receipt to prove its new. I don't have the receipt but I can find out the purchasing time from my account if I want. Honestly this will not affect the use of the coat. But I know the bold spot and it will always catch my eyes. Pretty irritated that a brand name piece only used twice with one professional dry clean it has become defective. BTW the milk spilled side, there is no stain, though the texture when you touch it is still different, not as smooth and soft but kind of crispy and harsh. Bad experience unfortunately. Kona cleaners is the worst dry cleaners I have ever gone to in 25 years. I decided to try them for the first time a couple weeks ago. Upon my first service, Kona Cleaners lost my blouse. I went to pick up my clothes before going out of town (only tried someone new because I wanted quicker service) and three of my items were missing. They found two, but were not responsive and lacked urgency to help locate the other. They could care less that I didn't have my blouse for my trip, even after speaking to the manager Carlos. I'm now - two weeks later, returned from my trip, they offered to deliver my "found" blouse but have yet to deliver it. Unreliable and not customer centric. I've never seen a business not care enough to be communicative and apologetic. Disappointing. Beware and hope they don't lose your clothing!! read more

They have never technology when it comes to updated text informing you when clothes is ready and setting up a quick pick up. Parking - They have a dedicated spot in the parking lot that allows for quicker pickup or drop offs. Payment / Price - Was disappointed They wouldn't let me pay in advance as that's something I've been doing for years at multiple places. Prices seem fair but better deals at my regular spot. Dry Cleaning - Looked at my shirts and everything looked good. Hours - Great schedule to help out drop offs or pickups around people's work schedule. I don't know what has happened to this place, but it has turned into a shit show! Two weeks ago, my husband took in our comforter to be dry cleaned and we were told it would be ready in two days. Well, it wasn't ready until after five days. Wednesday, my husband took our son's high school baseball jersey in to have the sleeves' hems redone because they were unraveling. I go in there to pick it up today, Friday which in when they said, and they can't find it!! For some damn reason, any item that has alterations done on it is sent out to their Orange location for pressing. WHF?!!! Now it's lost, and my son has a game tomorrow morning in Newport Beach and he has NO JERSEY!! The guy in the shop basically tells me there is nothing he can do, and when I tell him he doesn't understand, he raised his voice and said, "I do understand ma'am." I'm pretty sure he doesn't. So I go to my car and call the Orange location. The guy who answers is very nice and apologetic, puts me on hold to talk to his manager, and comes back and says she'll call me. I tell him to tell her to wait five minutes until I get home. But nope, she calls before I even pull into my driveway. I call her, and she is NOT sympathetic. Basically says there's nothing she can do. They'll look for it, and if they find it, they will call and bring it down. We will NEVER take another item into this shop again. Of all the things to lose, this was the ONE thing that they SHOULD NOT HAVE LOST! My son is going to be so upset. Thanks Kona for pissing on our weekend! Update!!! The owner Beverly just called and said the jersey was found! Of course I am very happy, but still upset that I have spent the past three hours trying to figure out what to do, from contacting my son's coaches to figuring out what tape to use to tape his number onto his practice jersey, to putting a message out on Groupme to see if any players weren't going to the game so we could borrow their jersey. Although this is a best possible outcome, it is still not acceptable. Unfortunately, we still will not use this company for our dry cleaning/alteration needs. read more

They may do a good job on clothes, but they are super expensive! I took a shirt and a dress in there and it was $15.00! Mind you, I had a coupon from the 2017 entertainment book for 50% off my cleaning order, so my order had I not had the coupon would have been $30? Well, needless to say, I didn't get 50% off they only gave me a discount of $10. What I think they did is overcharge me to reduce the price to the actual price they charge without the coupon. Well, I gave them a try, but I won't be back. I'll use the cleaners that's just down the street. They are also organic cleaners. EDIT: The owner reached out to me after I left this review and looked into the charges for my items. It seems I was over-charged for an item, which made the total quite a bit more than it was supposed to be. He refunded the full price I paid for my order as well as an additional credit for my inconvenience. It's nice to know that Kona still believes in customer service! This place is kind of hard to find and located on a corner in a strip mall but the service at the front is welcoming. What I like is that they do everything electronically so instead of receiving a paper receipt that is usually required to pickup your dry cleaning, you just give them your name, number, and email and they create a profile for you. It was a little strange as I was not used to this so I left feeling like my clothes could be lost but then I received an email that confirmed my drop off. Next, they email you to let you know when your order is ready to pickup along with the total amount due. They even have a feature where you can set up online payments. In addition, they offer specials each day such as discount dress day. The only challenge I have with this place is that I find it rather expensive but I guess that's the price you pay for efficiency. Haven't used their dry cleaning service, but I recently took in a bunch of clothes to be mended. I was worried that they wouldn't be able to properly fix my new tan fuzzy sweater that had a giant hole in the front, but they did such a great job that you can't even tell there was ever a hole! They were affordable and very fast with my clothes. My fiancé just took some more clothes in for repairs because I was raving about this place. They offer text & email updates for when your order is completed, which was very convenient. Everything is very Covid-friendly as well: all of the employees wore masks, they had plastic guards separating the counter, etc. I didn't catch the lady's name, but she was very nice and professional. They are not cheap, but they are quality. I may be the only one with this issue, but several dry cleaners have returned to me nice dress shirts with smashed buttons. The collars are often crooked and sometimes the pressing even leaves obvious wrinkles behind. Kona is relatively fast, eco-friendly, and my shirts look better than when they hung on the store rack. read more
