I was quoted for $40 and told it would look terrible because of the knit-like texture, but I still went through with it. When I got my cardigan, back I was charged $10 less than quoted and I couldn't find any of the holes while trying to look for them! The prices are astronomical I was offered a deal for four articles of clothing it was $20 she told me the average rate for two items, a suit, would be just under $14 that's about seven dollars a garment. Yelp offers $10 off for new customers however they will not honor this which was the whole reason I chose this cleaners. If you do have a coupon make sure you bring the paper Original but nothing from Yelp will be honored. Turn around time is over a week they will rush the order if you request. I typically pay $2.50 a garment but was in a pinch and thought I would find a good cleaners close to my house but this was a total crash and burn!!! If you want new business by putting an add on yelp for new customers you should honor the offer. read more

Not a fan of the lady who worked today 1/21/23. I told her these tops say "no dry clean" but I need them pressed to get the wrinkles out. But she kept saying dry clean. It took me 15 years to get this dress from its post-wedding dry cleaning bags into a box, but Santiago Hills Cleaners could not have done a better job. I kind of went in blind, since I am new to the area. I was helped promptly and all of my requests were accommodated (honestly I am not terribly picky). This cost was $150, which is more than reasonable considering what this dress means to me now that my daughter mentioned that (shrug) 'maybe' she would consider it when/if she gets married. If not, it will be well-preserved for the Angel babies donation to children called back to our Maker at or around their birth. It took a week, they called when it was ready, helped me out to the car with it, and I was so happy when I opened the plastic bag, protective cardboard box and then this lovely decorative box was inside. Dry cleaning services are adequate. Tailoring services seem a bit pricey. The 1-star rating came from a dispute on where to place a button on a shortened suit coat sleeve. The employee indicated that my suggested position for the button "would look stupid" but that they would certainly do whatever I wanted. "Organic Drycleaning" is the claim to fame at this place. Heck, it got my attention! I guess the fact that I had over 25 items to be laundered/drycleaned pressured me into trying this place out... Despite my large order, wait time was about what I expected: about 3 business days. This didn't surprise me. What did surprise me was the cost. Over $80!! That's a bit more than $3/piece! Ouch! My guess is that, just like with food, 'organic' comes with a hefty fee. That's the price we'll have to pay in order to save our environment from all the harsh chemicals that are used in the whole drycleaning process... I'm not so sure about the shoe repair, but this place is equipped for alterations. The staff was somewhat friendly and the location's convenient (for me at least). One thing that's nice is that they offer FREE pick-up and delivery...maybe next time I'll take 'em up on that offer...at least that'll explain the exorbitant prices. read more

I went to Santiago Hills Cleaners for years before moving out of CA and I'd highly recommend them because of their alternation service. My pants size is 33w x 31L so I always have to buy 34wx32L pants and get it hemmed. Each time I've taken my pants, they've fit perfectly. I've even got my suit tailored and my wife had them change the designs on her wedding dress a few days before her wedding. We've been pleased every time. They are a bit more expensive but you pay for quality. read more

I'm a regular. They are almost always polite and attentive, and they get my clothes back in 3 days unless I needed sooner. At $1.50 to $1.75 per collared shirt I'm happy. When my wife accidentally took in some polo shirts I could have thrown in the washer and it cost $4.50 per piece, I was not happy. That wasn't the cleaner's fault, though. My wife is all about organic and my two daughters have been making me aware of being more environmental friendly. However, I've been going to the same cleaner for the last 9 years. They know me by name and I get consistently good service and they do a good job with dry cleaning. My philosophy is not to make any change unless they really mess up. I like being a loyal customer. So when my wife encouraged me to change my cleaner and try Santiago Hills, I was at first little reluctant. I don't really feel the difference between normal food and organic food so I thought it will be same for organic cleaner. In the past when I got the suits back from the cleaner, I can sense little chemical smell for few hours. I thought it was normal. But when I got my suits back from Santiago Hills, I was so impressed. My suits felt very natural and did not have any chemical smell. It was very nicely ironed and I felt like trying out new suits at a department store. I don't get impressed easily but it was a good feeling. Unlike organic food which is almost double in price, price at Santiago Hills is very reasonable and I think it is totally worth it. Now I am a believer or organic cleaning and I cannot go back to the regular cleaner anymore. Staff members are very nice and they try to get to know me. Two Thumps up. read more

I'm a new customer here but I love this place. I'm super picky about my dry cleaning but Santiago Hills Cleaners has earned my trust. They offer ORGANIC drycleaning which means they use completely environmental-friendly-chemicals! ORGANIC! Who would've figured? And on top of that, my clothes didn't have that weird chemical smell that you get from regular dry cleaning. The service was friendly and attentive to my requests. I drycleaned two peacoats, three dresses, and two jeans..and I was very pleased with the results. Their alteration services was also great-- she did an impeccable job on hemming my True Religion jeans and altering the waist size! I have been coming to this cleaners just since February 2015. They have managed to lose two pairs of banana republic pants and one nice black blouse! Today I walked in with two pants that were not mine that I received from them to return. She said she wasn't missing any pants from other customers and they were probably from a previous dry cleaner I may. The previous time with them my receipt said 14 items but my drop off recipes said 15 items were given to them. They had the original receipt and verified with me that I was indeed missing an item. They told me to go home and check to see what item was missing. Today I told her I was missing a nice black blouse. She said she hasn't received any items from other customers and would "call me" if she does! I would definitely accept an apology and not get a replacement but to not take responsibility on $90 pair of pants each and a blouse! But to not take responsibility and make a customer feel like it was our fault, is not acceptable! Do NOT trust them! Count your items and verify each item before you leave! Even if you're missing stuff... Good luck if you think you're going to get anything back from them!! They got a one star because they gave me good customer service before they screwed up!! read more

I would give this place a negative 5 stars if I could. They have the worst customer service and the woman that I spoke to was seriously dumb....Seriously, if you plan on bringing your wedding dress here, be prepared to pay a lot! It would be totally worth it if you have an expensive wedding dress. My wedding dress was very simple and only cost $200. They wanted to charge me $150 to wash my freakin dress! I asked how much would it cost to wash a regular dress? They said it would be $15. I said, 'why can't you just wash it like a regular dress'? They said 'because of the fabric, they have to be extra careful'. Of course I'm thinking to myself that is total B.S. It was only because I said it was my wedding dress. I told them, 'I think that is a little ridiculous and I can't afford to pay $150 to wash my $200 dress. The only reason why you jacked up the price was because I said it was a wedding dress' I ended up taking it to another dry cleaner and got it washed and boxed up for only $20! Don't waste your money here...there are plenty of other dry cleans around Orange that deserve the business in this economy. read more

Re; ALTERATIONS: I brought in a new dress my daughter had bought on line which needed some altering as it was too blousy in the upper half and wanted it taken in. I had pinned two vertical seams up the back and was told they would cost $30.00 which I thought was a bit much as the dress was only $50.00. (Just a causal everyday dress.) The seamstress suggested I make one seam instead so I took it home to re-pin it on my daughter. When I brought it back the seamstress was not in so I left it with a man and asked that she call me and let me know the cost. He said fine. They never called and when I called to check on the price & status I was told that the dress was done and the cost was $45.00!! The response I got was. . . "well we didn't know for sure what was said between you and the man." And..."We said it would be $40 or $45 regardless of what was done. (Not true and of course that sounds wrong just on principle!) I have only used them for basic alterations. A while ago, I had them add buttons to the rear pockets of some Levi's. Over time the added strain on the fabric, where the button I manipulate most is attached, has caused the threads of the fabric to begin breaking and the button was in danger of falling off. I took it in and asked that a fabric patch be adhered to the inside in order to shore up the button and immobilize the broken threads so that they would not unravel further. I was prepared to pay for this since it DID last a while, and I didn't specify any reinforcement of the original installation (I assumed they would put some in,,,) Instead, they just packed some gauze-like material around the button and hand-stitched around that a few times. These stitches are about 1/16 inch into the edge of broken threads - they will certainly just pull the fabric apart faster! I pointed this out, and reminded the woman that it was NOT what I specifically asked for and her only reply (I had already paid cash) was to bring it back when it failed and they would fix it. Right - after the fabric gets far more torn up around that area... She wasn't interested when I told her that I was ALREADY "bringing it back" since THEY installed the button without reinforcing in the first place. She simply stood there and said nothing. I will certainly be taking it somewhere that will perform the repair I request BEFORE matters get worse. read more

Love this Dry Cleaners and I trust them with my clothes. The owner is also a very easy going and nice man. I've been using their services for a long time now. If you think you have ruined an item of clothing with a hard to get out stain, their spotter there is the best guy to go. He will try and almost always succeeds in getting stains out. I really enjoy the quality of their service and the fantastic feeling of clothes after. They will always return your clothes in tip top shape, ironed, smelling fresh, and feeling great. I would give this business 5 stars if not for the price. With that said, you get what you pay for. I have tried other cleaners in the area, and though they are cheaper, they destroyed some of my clothes. If these guys make a mistake they fix it at no charge, or have for me. I have been a regular customer here for quite a few years and choose them over other places because of the great service, friendly (even the crazy lady) and consistent service. If I need my clothes the next day, no problem, they are ready. If you care about service and the condition of your clothes then I would highly recommend these guys.
