My husband and I had been using a cleaners that was less expensive and for the most part, got all the dirt out of our clothes. I had taken my husbands work shirt to Kona after the less expensive place couldn't get some dirt out. Kona got all dirt and stains out on the first try. Another great place for cleaning and basic alteration repair needs. Athira is the most friendliest and professional representative at Kona Cleaners, she always goes the extra mile to ensure you get what your paying for plus she keeps you informed about special need items or if something (such as an aggressive stain) that could not be removed. This Kona cleaners is really good about not charging you if they have to try several times and the stain just won't come out. All Kona cleaners are a little expensive but you get what you pay for and they have lots of coupons that can be applied if you redeem them BEFORE checkout. I recommend this location as they continue provide great service for me and my families dry cleaning needs. By the way they are the first cleaners who was able to get slime out of the kids clothes and keep the clothes in perfect tact! Total win for me! read more

DO NOT come here - they will ruin your clothes - took my silk shirt, an employee's pen exploded (correction to this, an employee called and they said, not an employee pen, but a pen from another shirt that they have missed & did not take out) and left a stain on my shirt. They didn't inform me about this damage until I'm there ready to pick up my order and they wouldn't let me see my shirt with stain left by them, their excuse was the person doing the cleaning placed it somewhere and that person is sleeping at home and can't be reached. Came back next day, computer Note said, shirt is missing. What's more distressing is that, there were several other clothes that were damaged by this and only my silk shirt went missing - just shady ! The prices are a little high, poor response to email and difficult to get someone on the phone. The service is good but no better than the other dry cleaners I've used. The staff is very friendly and professional. They have a rewards program but it's conservative. I haven't received a receipt since January so phoned Kona to let them know. Update; I was told the email they have on file for me is "123notme@gmail.com". Someone must have changed my email address in the Kona directory back in January. This is a strange and potential security breach not to mention that email address is obviously fishy! read more

I did not use their dry clean service but rather their laundry services. My wife and I live an apartment and laundry is always time consumer. Was hoping maybe a laundry service could help us out. The service is about $25 for 2 loads and it took about 6 business days. I used a Yelp coupon to make it $15 but still definitely not worth the money, might be worth it if was next day delivery, a little disappointing as far as speed goes. I want to share my experience with Kona Cleaners. Great customer service! I was going to a small cleaners mom and pop business. I left them because they weren't meeting there promise delivery dates and other issue. I was hesitant to try a big establishment but tried them anyways Kona. I pointed out a stain to the girl that took my items she said no problem they would take care of it. When I went back to pick up clothes stain was still there. I pointed out the stain to a different girl that was there. She said there was nothing showing that they needed to address a stain. I took my things write a review on there website unsatisfied Beverly contact me right away, I told Beverly the issue and told her what I thought the stain was. Now that I've had roughly 5 dress shirts with destroyed buttons after taking them here, I've finally wised up and am taking my business elsewhere. It takes two times pointing out the buttons for them to repair, and since each shirt only comes with one spare...I end up with shirts with buttons that are close matching but not really the same as they were manufactured with. My most recent experience, I only wore the shirt once before the buttons were cracked by Kona. I pay anywhere from $50-100 per shirt and then almost $3 to dry clean it...I'm supposed to put up with broken (and eventually mismatched) buttons? No thanks. Sure, the people are nice and I get clothes back quickly...but not worth it. read more

I saw this open after a remodel and give it a try because I drove by it all the time. I have never been much of a dry cleaning guy before. The prices are great and their work is exceptional! I took a shirt there that had a serious orange highlighter stain in the front and it carried to the back of the shirt. I showed up with it in a bucket and thought I would get escorted out. Kayla was very patient with me and offered no promises (other than they would give it their best shot). I was so flustered I walked off without my bucket. She stopped me and politely reminded me not to forget it. Low and behold I received my handy email notice and my shirt was healed! You can't tell anything ever happened to that shirt. Do not buy the Yelp deal if you don't use it all at once. I came in and used part of it. I was told I would have credit for the rest. Came back a second time only to be told there was no note of it on my file. They do a good job of with the dry cleaning but don't appreciate how they conned me into buying the Yelp deal without honoring it completely. Very dishonest practice. Will not be returning. UPDATE: I just got contacted by the business owner and they were willing to refund the Yelp deal based on what had occurred. Above and beyond in terms of customer service. This place is the epitome of what a great dry cleaning company should be. The service is great, I generally don't have to wait when I bring in my clothes or pick up my clothes and am generally always in and out within just a couple of minutes. E-mail notifications and receipts make the transaction process simple and they pay great attention to detail. I had dropped off a pair of pants with them and hadn't noticed that one of the seams was becoming undone and they had called me within 1 hour of me dropping my clothes off and asked if I had wanted for them to go ahead and repair it, which I did. First time bringing my work shirts to Kona Cleaners. I used their current Yelp deal which is $15 for $25. Upon arrival the girl who checked my shirts was very helpful. Since I was a new customer I had to fill out some paperwork. Once I was done with that she went to ask if I needed any areas of my shirts that require special cleaning/attention. I told her the areas and she took a look and stated they would add it to the invoice. She wasn't able to quote me right on the spot but upon taking a small glance she guesstimated an amount. Now the part that really took me by surprise was when she said they would all be ready by today after 5 (dropped off 11 shirts 10/6)! I was expecting my shirts to be done by Thursday, maybe even Friday! She stated the shirts would be ready the next day 10/7 after 5pm. On top of that, they send you an email with your invoice so you know what you owe at pick-up. You can also access your shirts on their website and it shows the detail of each shirt that you dropped off (brand, pattern type, color, etc.). That's even a greater plus because you can keep track of your items and I believe you can add a credit card to pay prior to pick-up. When I went to pick up my shirts on Wednesday the lady who was helping me, Jazmin, was very nice and super friendly. Although it was my first time there she treated me as if I was a regular. I've been using Kona Cleaners since moving to Southern California a year and a half ago. They are so far above the rest with next day service, email alerts to tell me my orders are ready, and the outstanding staff. Last week I moved to South County and am completely disappointed that I no longer have a location nearby. I've already tried 2 other dry cleaners and I'm just so disappointed that I'm unable to find Kona's level of service. I'm not sure it exists anyplace else.
