    The Sopranos Sandwich

First time trying out this deli and I really like the vibe of the store. It definitely has a surfer, beach vibe and i like how the menu showcases that as well. I was greeted right when I walked in and was in and out no problem. Service was 10/10. I got the sopranos sandwich which has pepperoni, ham, and mozzarella on hawaiian white. The bread honestly makes the sandwich as the sandwich itself is nothing special. I would definitely come back for a hot sandwich as I know it would pair nicely with the sweet hawaiian bread. Overall, I would recommend if you're looking for a solid sandwich spot

I will FOREVERRRR love this place! I come here so often, I hope they keep everything the same forever lol annnnd the workers are so sweet and so helpful! If any sandwich shop in SLO should have a cult following it should be this place. I said what I said ‍ the 6 inch is definitely enough to FILL you UP! I also want to add that I am very picky when it comes to my sandwich meat and I have 0 complaints for Kona's! 100/100 Oh one thing I would change is I would love if they were open later. But that's it.

kona's deli's was such a cozy place!! super family friendly, beachy, and the 3 girls working were so funny to talk to while I was ordering lol. Go check out their new tiktok too for Kona's Deli!! they're hilarious and I can tell they love their job. I'll definitely be back soon for another sandwich :)

    PLT, close.

How does one get so much flavor action in such a compact fashion? There's a level of mental and physical intimacy one has with such a sandwich. PLT.

I was introduced to Kona's by my bf because he raved about it a lot and after my first time I understood immediately. Their sandwiches are deliciously packed and on that Hawaiian bread?? Ooh yum!! Even with just half of the 6" I always find myself full, and I end up telling myself I can probably save the other half for dinner. Somehow, I always end up shoving the other half down my throat though because I just want to keep tasting the delicious flavors. My two favorites that I switch between are Junkyard Dog and Beach Break. The pesto cream cheese in the Junkyard Dog is just soooo good. I also love "the works" that you can add on to your sandwich. It's like Subway, but way better. They also have daily deals like 10% off for students on some certain day.

They offer California style burritos, sandwiches, and breakfast items. Their sandwiches are well worth the money as they pack so many ingredients that you can easily share a sandwich. We have had sandwiches from here now a couple of times and we just can't seem to get enough. This time we ordered the Chicken Salad Melt. OH MY! SO darn delicious. This sandwich was made with chicken salad, melted pepper jack cheese, purple slaw, apple slices, arugula on a toasted baguette. Definitely one of the best sandwiches I have ever ate. Everything tasted so fresh. It was so good, I had to come back the next day and order it again. This is just one of the many great sandwiches you can order here. The store itself offers many local Central Coast craft beers and wine from SLO and Paso Robles. Chips and snacks are available here and they have a great selection of gifts and merchandise. My favorite spot in the store is the area they have set up to play pinball. Reminds me of the arcade my parents owned when I was a kid. I am a big fan of this neighborhood gem and can't wait to return!

I'm so glad I did! The exterior is definitely unassuming to say the least, I mean it is a functioning liquor store next to a public park. Once inside, you'll see everything you'd see in a 7/11, but with a much more quality selection of liquor. If I'm looking for a bottle of high-quality bourbon or whiskey, I'll certainly come here next time. But I scooted past that vast selection, because 1) it was lunchtime and 2) I was looking for food. =) I ordered a Mediterranean wrap and a Gyro pita from the little counter in the middle of the shop. I chatted a little with the chef, who was super sweet and helpful to pack my order with sauces on the side so nothing would get soggy before we ate it. Within a few minutes, everything was packed and ready, I paid with credit card and left for our road trip adventure. When we opened the lunch pack, we were greeted by amazing smells and great tastes! Especially the Mediterranean wrap was delicious! It's all a little pricey at $11 for a sandwich, but they're huge and so tasty, that you should skip any of the cheap offers from Subway and Co. to eat here! It's unique, local and delicious!

But I'm not kidding you'll come in here, walk to the back and just feel blown away that you didn't know this selection existed. In addition to the beer, they have a deli where you can order everything from sandwiches and gyros to burritos and schwarma. Serious! The sandwich I had from here was okay, not amazing. I'd still come back to try the gyro though. Of course they have chips and drinks and lots of liquor too. Every time I've ever come in the cashiers have been super cool, laid back and really friendly. Just stop by and wander around, you'll find something you didn't know you want for sure.

I'd go back to try their other pies and hand pies. Feeding the sheep, cow, goats and llamas $3 a head lettuce was so fun! The animals loooove eating the lettuce and it's an enjoyable experience for kids and adults alike. The fields with bales of hay to climb and pose on and also the flower fields to walk around in was also nice too! There was a hay ride, but we were not able to make it-- maybe next time. The food was just mediocre. The pulled pork sandwich had too much sauce on it and it was hard to eat because the bread just fell apart. I wish there were a little more coleslaw on top because it cut the sweetness of the sauce. Would not order again. The tritip sandwich was just okay- lots of thinly sliced meat, but flavor was just alright. Would not order again. The plain hotdog was actually pretty good- it was a big hotdog. Would probably order again for my kid haha. The highlight of the meal was the Brussels sprouts (no pecans and subbed Parmesan for the bleu cheese)! Nicely roasted and seasoned. Definitely would order again! The strawberry lemonade and the oallaberry lemonade were really good- not too sweet and very fruity. I went with a simple tuna fish sandwich on their small sub. The app did not let me know when my sandwich was ready, but I did arrive a few minutes early, and it was all ready to go. I was met by the smiling face of the single employee in the restaurant. My sandwich was already bagged. My name was on it and my chips and extra napkins were inside already. The store was very clean and organized, and I seemed to be the first customer of the day. The sandwich itself was very good. It had a generous amount of filling and was served as represented on the menu. I will have to try Capriotti's again to try a different type of sandwich as I think it's unfair to judge an entire restaurant by a tuna fish sandwich. However, everything was as advertised and I can confidently give this location a thumbs up.

If you have the time though, the breakfast bagel sandwiches were good and they also have a chocolate zucchini loaf that we also bought. The bagels tasted fresh and the sandwiches were very filling. I didn't add anything to my bagel (beyond the cream cheese, tomato, and avocado that was included in the breakfast bagel), but my boyfriend added bacon and it was a generous amount. The chocolate zucchini loaf is honestly more of a cake and quite a bit sweeter than other zucchini bread I've tried. If you're looking for a denser chocolate cake with little flecks of green, it's great. They also offered samples, and we bought the chocolate zucchini loaf because we enjoyed the sample. There isn't anywhere to sit inside but there are a couple of tables outside on the patio.
