Second day we got breakfast chorizo burrito with rice and beans, added avocado. That... was super freakin good. Will probably got three days in a row for another burrito! Also got the pastrami fries. They were pretty good but it was with cooked purple onion and it made it a little too sweat for me. We still ate it all! Service was great! The ladies were very nice and friendly. Camping in Oceano and my wife and I were in the mood for a tasty cheese burger. We have walked past this place many times over the last couple years so we decided, Today is the day. Poee Street Deli here come. Wifey ordered a classic cheese burger with fries I ordered the Western cheese burger. After taking a couple bites of my western burger I was like DAYYAMM! That is one of the most righteous western cheese burgers I have ever had the pleasure of biting into. Fries were crispy and seasoned well just how I likes em. This time I just had two tacos. The best with hand-made tortillas and a fantastic salsa. Someone commented that they were expensive. The dinner specials yes they are but they are also top quality. This place was within walking distance from where we stayed. Its a small place cute. There are a couple of pbar stools outside. Decor is cute inside, and its very clean. Attendants are very friendly and helpful. We place our order and food was prepared as ordered with extra crispy bacon. The breakfast sandwhich was good and filling. FOOD: Always made to order so be patient. The burritos are a good size and yummy. The surf and turf fries are delicious! Highly recommend. Worth the price since it is pretty up there but they do not skimp on the meat or shrimp. The menudo is a must whenever they serve it. Last time I went they said that it will be available only on certain days and that they will announce it beforehand on their Instagram page. The cleanest menudo I have tasted. I'm salivating writing about it lol. The meat ratio on the tacos are on point. They offer tacos, burgers, deli sandwiches, fries and on the weekends they do birria! SERVICE: They are always so welcoming and nice! Always ready to answer my questions about the foods and what it comes with or when something will be available again (like the menudo lol). Like I said the food is made to order so some foods might take time to come out but totally worth it. AMBIANCE: Small little shack but such a beautiful view being right next to the Oceano dunes! You can even see the beach from inside the building or if you decide to eat outside on a small patio area. Enjoy a beer and some tacos? How much more California can you get? lol. We woke up late & couldn't decide on breakfast or lunch, and this place has both! We walked down to this little gem so close to the beach. Welcomed with a warm hello, off to a good start. I had the chorizo breakfast burrito...my choice is it's available. Chorizo was very mild, but tasty. I used gobs of the spicy salsa in the side with the milder red salsa in the burrito. Filled with scrambled eggs, chorizo and fried potatoes, this was a breakfast with leftovers (and it was great the day after). The cheeseburger was a good burger, enjoyed sitting outside. If the weather permits, definitely sit outside! read more

Unacceptable Policy and Unkind Service - Would Not Recommend I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was deeply disappointing and deserves to be shared. During a recent visit, we asked to use the restroom in what was clearly an emergency situation--public facilities nearby were occupied, and as a physician I can empathize how timely access is sometimes medically necessary. Despite having already purchased a bottle of water, the staff refused restroom access, stating that "one bottle doesn't cover the cost of the restroom." We were forced to buy a second bottle just to use the facilities. The young woman at the front desk was not only rigid about this policy but also noticeably rude and lacking in compassion. There was no attempt to understand or accommodate the urgency of the situation. What's most frustrating is that I would've gladly supported the business further--perhaps even bought food on our way back. But the blatant insensitivity and transactional coldness left a lasting impression. No customer should be made to feel uncomfortable or humiliated over basic human needs. I will not be returning, and I strongly discourage others from supporting a business that prioritizes profit over decency. read more

The food was so good that we came back the next day for more. Service is excellent, the workers were super kind and attentive with everything we asked for. Interior is very clean, open seating, convenient bathroom access, soda refills. We got the surf and turf burrito and surf and turf burrito. The shrimp is HUGE and they give you a ton of it. We also got an order of fries for our boys to split and that was more than enough to share. Our family will definitely be visiting this spot every time we're in Oceano. read more

My husband and I shared the cheesesteak sandwich and ordered fries and onion rings on the side. Everything was delicious! The sandwich was filled with lots of good quality beef, mushrooms, onions, peppers, and cheese. We were overcharged on our fries and only got 5 onion rings when I had been told the order had 8 included but didn't contest it since I didn't notice til we had left. Great sandwich shop close to Pismo Beach! This little jewel is technically in Oceano and is right around the corner from Old Juan's Cantina. Turn on Pier and it is 2nd to last business on right side looking towards the ocean. Great food, Large Portions and Ocean views. That's a winning combination! Open 8-5 Wednesday-Sunday. The service is great and the food is delicious. Generous portions, too! The location is convenient ie t to the state park campground.

We went on a 6 mile walk so we could not decide between 2 restaurants. We chose to buy a tritip sandwich and 2 waters from a restaurant across from the Pier St. Deli.It cost $21! I was still hungry so I went to this deli and got 3 chicken tenders and fries for less than $10. They were DELICIOUS! I need to try more items on their menu so I will be back! read more

I have travelled throughout So Cal and the Central Coast always in search of great food and I found this little gem only because the burger joint across the street was closed and I'm so glad they were... If you are traveling on the 101 or are in the area it is worth the time and effort to get here... I recommended to the owner/cook to add crema to it, it would have been an amazing addition to the already delicious Torta... I'll be back to try the various items on the menu. Had an hour to kill in Oceano and was going to dine at the train car place. But, their tables are so close together and they wouldn't open the other car. I am still a bit COVID shy so I tried the Pier Street Deli instead. Best decision ever!! Wasn't too crowded and even though I was expecting more of a sandwich deli I was very happy to order the Birria Tacos. The tacos were so tasty, even without dipping in the Birria sauce. But the sauce was SO tasty that I actually brought what was left over home with me!! I love that they had Jarritos in the flavors I like to combine. Great atmosphere, friendly folks. Owner is super friendly and welcoming, and honestly the food is just the best. Got the Turkey Chipotle with fries, and that was probably the best deli food I've had in a minute. I ended up tipping 40% just because of how nice the Owner was. It's her mainly working everything, with her husband helping her out. Flew into Oceano Airport and walked down to the beach for lunch, Pier St Deli seemed to be the only food in the area that had seating so we stopped there.
