Popped into this place for a quick bite while visiting Cal Poly SLO. All the different dishes we got -- uniformly fresh and delicious. Tried their sandwiches and bowls and really liked the balance of sauce/flavoring with letting the natural ingredients come through. Just prepared very well and even nice to look at. What impressed me even more though was the service. They were super busy while we were there and we admittedly mixed up the name of a dish. Twice. My first time checking out Urbane Cafe and I will admit that I have already recommended it to a few friends in the area. I loved that the menu wasn't overwhelming and that I was able to order two things I couldn't decide between and didn't break the bank. The Salmon bowl and the BBQ sandwich were top tier. I enjoyed every bite and still had some to take home. They also offer a variety of fresh fruit waters and natural sodas. This is kinda a fast food joint but with better quality food. I had a salad with chicken, pear, and avocado. My husband had a Mediterranean chicken bowl. The bread that came with the meal was very tasty. Service is just the person at the register and a runner, it was fine. They have indoor and outdoor tables. The only thing that was a bummer was that the restrooms are definitely a no go zone, very badly maintained. I would recommend not using them, and I don't say this lightly. read more

Saying that the food was 10/10 was an understatement. Urbane does well in blending healthy foods with tasty sauces and spices. You'll always leave here knowing that you got what's best for your body in terms of nutrients and vitamins. The staff is equally as great; all are very welcoming. I like the casual seats and booths that almost make me feel like I'm at the park, though the music is too "coworker-like" for me. I was in town helping my brother move and we decided to stop here for a quick bite for lunch. I have been here before as I went to college here in the past and my family loves this place.
