Please understand that I don't know much about other similar providers, but I will share my thoughts about the care provided for my two children over the years. When we needed braces for our son, the name we were given was Dr. Kemp. He is the definition of local legend, and he's earned those accolades the hard way: He created a superior practice and provides amazing care for patients and family alike. Dr. Hall is the other heavy hitter in the office. Impressive in all ways, working with skill and compassion. If you're like me, environment plays a huge role in experience. Their office is spotless, smartly decorated, and inviting. More importantly, the office staff provides exceptional customer care. You lnow you're in good hands with this team, which speaks to the quality and thought given to hiring practices. Finally, and most importantly, I can boil down my experiences here to one word: Trust. I whole-heartedly entrust my children's care in this field to Arlington Orthodontics and Dentistry. Whether you call them 4 times to reschedule or walk in they always greet you the same, with kindness and with warmth. Nicole is one of my favorites at the front desk. All the ortho docs are insanely awesome, there simply is no better place. All the staff also is great at what they do. He explained thoroughly our options and what we could do for my daughter's braces. He did scans and we decided to wait for the 2 upper teeth to fall out. But now Dr. Kaplin is saying we need to extract all 4 bottom baby teeth, 2 upper baby teeth and 2 upper adult teeth all at once! Then he can start the braces for my daughter. When we mentioned that that was not what we discussed previously, his tone changed and started becoming rude and snappy and seemed annoyed by us. "I don't think we are on the same page here. I'm hearing a lot about baby teeth but I'm not concerned about that"

This practice is extremely difficult to work with. Their office hours are almost entirely during…read moreschool hours, despite the fact that most of their patients are school-aged kids. They expect children to be pulled out of class for routine appointments. They're only open every other Saturday, and those slots fill so fast they're basically unusable. The practice is completely unaccommodating and has an arrogant attitude about it. To make matters worse, both of my kids were told they'd have braces for about a year, and in both cases treatment lasted nearly twice as long. Either they're very bad at estimating timelines or they're not being honest up front--neither is acceptable. It also feels like unnecessary adjustments are made just to undo them at the next visit. My dentist was surprised by how uneven my daughter's teeth still are. Overall, this place feels difficult, poorly managed, and questionable. Not recommended.

Upon completion, I had questions at office visit of Dr. Verbic and he dismissed my concerns and told me we would speak at next visit. Made that appointment and when I showed up 2 months later it was just an appointment for an X-ray. I asked why and was told that this is how they do it here. Apparently, due to lack of schedule availability it would take another nearly 2 months to get an answer. He has 3 offices so maybe he's spreading himself thin. Feeling rather uncomfortable about the whole situation, I saw 3 other orthodontists and come to find out that my son has major jaw alignment issues that were not addressed by his treatment. Basically, phase 1 was pointless and just a money grab as he will need full orthodontic treatment again. Beware of his diagnosis!

My first impressions were very good. Kind staff, good with kids, they talk you through their…read moredecisions; however, when my child needed extensive work, I listened to their plan, in the moment trusted the Dr., agreed to treatment, paid a deposit. As I sat with it I grew concerned because the treatment plan included sedation. Expensive and risky. I asked for the X-rays which they sent, but I also requested the plan be written up with a rationale and any other possible options. I'm not a medical professional and do not understand everything thrown at me in the office. There was a follow up phone call where the staff proceeded to tell me verbally the plan. I explained it was intensive and costly and I don't understand so I would like it written up and may seek a second option to make sure this was the right path. I was told they welcomed a second option but that my $1000 deposit was non refundable. I found this really disconcerting. I understand the need of a deposit but when there is genuine concern and you have to make decisions on the spot, I also think making it no refundable with prior notice is poor customer service which I expressed to them. They then sent me an email telling me "our professional bond had been broken". Very concerning for a parent looking to be more informed in making medical decisions for their child. First I felt pressured to agree, then I felt vilified for asking questions.

I also put down a deposit for a procedure . i asked them over the phone how much will the procedure be they told me they didn't have it on file so id have to find out when i came in. i go in and the procedure is out of my budget, so they told me since im not getting the procedure that same day that my 150$ deposit will go to 50$ and i have to pay another 150 to secure my spot again plus the remaining balance!!! i asked them could i do payments on it they said no. unbelievable. never going back here again.

I thoroughly appreciate everyone in the office there! They were all very supportive and encouraging throughout the process. 2. Dr. Stache is EXCELLENT! I had complicated teeth that went through Invisalign and a short stint of braces. Dr. Stache was there to answer all my questions, reassure me of the process, and ended with a FANTASTIC RESULT!
