Sausage is ok, and likes the chicken when he is in the mood for it. He hasnt had anything there that he doesnt like. I loved the turkey, baked beans and Mac n cheese. Our Hurricane drink was pretty delicious( with part of the proceeds goes to a charity for that one particular drink). The server was polite and friendly. They smoke and bbq all the meats right out back of the restaurant so the food came out quick, fresh and amazing! I personally loved the Mustard and Sweet Red sauces while my husband prefers the slight heat of the Jalapeño sauce . The recipes for the sauces are hanging up on the walls as part of the decor. The only thing i could knock them for is the bathroms were a little dingy. Not really super dirty, just needs some updating with new tiles and paint. Overall great place and we will definitely will be returning!

However, I feel like we've had better barbecue up north than we did here... We ordered a brisket plate + a pork belly plate to share with mac & cheese, grits and corn pudding. The brisket was dry and flavorless. The pork belly was more fat than meat. Thank goodness for the variety of delicious sauces they provided with our meals! I'm giving two stars for the sides & sauces being pretty good but that's about it. I don't know the area but I'm sure you can find better meats elsewhere :(

My son got the lamb gyro wrap and fries which he really liked. My daughter got the chicken shawarma wrap and hummus which she said was outstanding. I got the chicken shawarma and gyro mix plate with falafel and I really liked it. I noted that the chicken had a bright, citrus flavor which it is supposed to have but I don't get in most of the shawarma's I try. Rice was fine. Food portions were quite generous, we were all full and took home leftovers. Price was decent too. They offer some sort of call ahead or online ordering which would be a good thing to look into so you aren't waiting around a parking lot for a bit. J.Ja

While…read moreit's technically a food truck, it's set up in a permanent location with convenient parking, so it's easy to swing in and grab a meal. You can order through all the major delivery services, use their website, or walk up and order in person like I did. I ordered the kabob plate with both a chicken kabob and a beef kabob. It came with a generous portion of wonderfully seasoned, fluffy rice -- and plenty of it. On the side was a fresh chopped salad with lettuce, tomato, cucumber, and a cool tzatziki sauce that added a bright, refreshing balance to the plate. The vegetables were super fresh and crisp, and every bite had great flavor. The beef kabob was fantastic -- well-seasoned ground beef formed on the skewer with bold, savory flavor. But the chicken was the star of the show for me. It was incredibly tender, juicy, and seasoned perfectly. Not spicy at all -- just rich, balanced flavor done right. They offer a wide selection beyond kabobs: lamb, chicken, beef shawarma, hummus, grape leaves, and several authentic Middle Eastern sides that can be hard to find done properly. If you're on this side of town, place an order and swing by to pick it up. It's fresh, flavorful, and absolutely worth the stop.

Stayed basic and just ordered the chicken parm sandwich and meatball sub. We cut both in half and shared. That was easily the best chicken parm sandwich and the best meatball sub I've ever eaten. So much flavor & the textures were delightful. I usually can pick out things that would've made my food better, even if I enjoyed my meal, but in this case I have no notes. It was absolute perfection. Wish I would've taken a photo so I could post it here but I wasn't expecting to leave a review. Bravo!

To begin, I will state unequivocally that the meatball is my favorite sandwich (unless I'm in…read moreChicago, then it may quickly switch to a hot dipped Italian beef). So, when I first discovered the "Chucktown Meatball Co.," I hunted them down with the intention of telling them how disappointed I was, since it is SO rare I have a meatball worth its salt. Often, it has been a miserable experience, especially since I ONLY eat housemade meatballs and not the atomic waste, cylinder shaped frozen craters found at the fast-food shack of your (poor and ill-advised) choice. It took some effort, but I finally find them via Instagram, pull up to their truck parked somewhere in the swamps of West Ashley, and order the Meatball Hero (marinara on toasted Italian roll and topped with Pesto, parmigiana, and stracciatella). The preparation took a little time but trust me - that is a good thing. Before long, we complete the handoff, and I walk back to my car and immediately take a bite. Incredible. Are these the best meatballs I've ever had? No, they are not. That trophy belongs to my departed Italian mother's concoction. However, these are so good, tasty and fresh, I find myself heading back on a weekly basis (if not more). I wanted to try their pasta and other things but couldn't get off the meatball hero. Finally, the owner, in an almost plea to rid me of my demons, suggested the chicken parm hero (chicken cutlet with marinara, mozzarella, provolone, and parmigiana with pesto/stracciatella on a toasted Italian roll), and I obliged. Equally incredible, with a red hot fried fresh chicken cutlet smothered in a molten mess that was glorious to eat. Both sandwiches should be common in the Northeast (with varying degrees of quality) but finding them in Charleston at this culinary level is as rare as driving down a street with no flooding. We're talking about super high-quality food here (shockingly prepared in a truck) at a more than reasonable price. The following week, I went back to my meatball hero, because it's what I crave. I'll eventually get around to trying the pasta, but for now, let me go down swinging with a toasted Italian roll in my veins and a smile on my face. When you find them, walk up and tell them Milo sent you. They'll know.

Thank goodness for the reviews! They were on point. Chef Chris was extremely professional and his food was amazing. Not only did Chef Chris provide the catering, but he also was the point person for my table, chairs, and linen rental and the bar service. Having Chef Chris as the point person was a life saver, giving me a single point of contact for multiple moving parts! Our wedding reception was held at out of town and very casual yacht club. It was a bit of a schlep from Charleston (about a 40 minute drive) and didn't have a freezer. Chef Chris brought *everything* he needed, including an ingenious way to keep ice cream without a freezer on site (not sure how he did it, but I assume I would have been impressed). His staff was terrific and multiple guests said the bar service staff was also wonderful. The food was perfect! We had the low-country boil and it was AMAZING! The shrimp were HUGE and the corn was crisp, potatoes were perfect, and the sausage was bursting. We also had pulled pork on soft buns, as well as salad and green beans. No wedding cake - we went with apple cobbler. All my guests commented on the food, during and after the wedding reception. Serving large groups is always a challenge, but Chef Chris made it seamless and so flavorful! Frank and I strongly recommend booking Chef Chris! He is wonderful to work with and delivers amazing food and service. Good luck!

I was actually pretty excited about this place because I was craving Thai food. I saw the pictures and it looked legit. I ordered the Panang curry thinking it was a safe choice... This is for to-go and I was so excited to get to my hotel and eat it (8 min drive). When I got back- I was alittle disappointed that it wasn't in a more bowl-like or cup container. It also looked a bit different than other pics of Panang curry I saw on yelp- it wasn't as soupy or saucy as I had hoped. - minor annoyance was that they also didn't have brown rice. But Understandable since br rice isn't really Thai. - Another minor thing was I requested a 7/10 on spice level... I know spice is really subjective but this thing tasted more like a 1 or 2. I saw on the reciept the cashier got the order right... It also seemed wierd that I was asked if I wanted utensils... I would think for any to-go it'd be standard. I don't know if I would come back here... I saw another Thai/Lao or Filipino place down the street that I probably should have went to. That one was questionable because it looked like they had too much on their menu...

We ordered the sauce on the side because we are not usually fans of creamy sauces but once we tasted it, we dumped it on because it was really sweet like, honey, not mayo-ey. And it complemented both the shrimp and the fish. The mac n cheese was creamy, but the red rice stole the show. I am a wimp when it comes to heat (spice) and while it had flavor it was just perfect for me. Even though I couldn't finish my food, I'm still wishing I had tried the Gullah garlic wings, but I suppose that just means I'll be back!

We made a reservation, but ordered at the counter. We ordered a handful of dishes to share. The girl was very helpful and giving us a separate gluten-free menu that allowed us to order for my husband. This place is a Latin/Asian infusion so we were very excited to see how the flavors played out since it is two of our favorite types of food. The best thing I had was the special, stir fried udon noodles with the steak. The noodles were perfectly cooked, the chili spice on it was amazing and it wasn't overly sauced. The steak that accompanied it was also delicious. The tomato cucumber salad was fresh, but could've used a little more salt in my opinion. The bao bun and tacos were also nice and great portions. I would say for me I didn't love the pad Thai in comparison to the many that I've had before, because it was a bit different in flavor profiles than what I'm used to. I wanted a little bit more of the fish sauce and tamarin flavor. You have to get their milkshakes, I'm sure all of them are great. But the one we have was absolutely decadent and delicious! We had more than enough food, and ended up taking a lot of it home. They were multiple people helping us, and they were all very nice and friendly. I'm coming back for the udon noodle dish!
