Not one person acknowledged me until a young gentleman in the very back finally spoke to me. He said he was newly transferred there. Overall, it was NOT a very welcoming experience in Marne. Later that day, I went to the car lot and asked whether paying cash would help with putting some money down or getting a better deal. I was told, "No, because we make less taking cash." I then asked if the price was negotiable and was told no, they wouldn't come down on the price. Later that evening, I used their online chat. A woman took my name, phone number, and my offer and said she would pass everything along to the manager to see what they could do. That was 8/21. Today is 8/23, and I still haven't received a phone call, text, or any response whatsoever. Communication and customer service go a long way when someone is seriously considering purchasing a vehicle. Unfortunately, my experience here was enough that I would personally avoid this place.

My car needed a Subaru specific O2 sensor, but the dealership installed an aftermarket part that kept failing. If they sell Subarus, they should know how to repair them properly the first time. Each time I was forced to drive two hours there and two hours back, which is exhausting and completely unreasonable for a car I just purchased. One of the latest fixes only took 20 minutes and easily could have been handled locally, but instead I wasted an entire day driving back and forth yet again. Between all of these trips I have put about 1,200 unnecessary miles on my car, spent over $250 in gas, and now need another oil change and new oil filter because of it. Michael, the salesman, was great to work with and very kind, but that does not make up for the fact that this car has had repeated issues and the way they have been handled has been extremely disappointing. I expected reliability and accountability when buying from a dealership, not constant repairs, added expenses, and wasted time. I would not recommend this dealership.

We (the auto body guy, the insurance guy and myself) took a test drive to check out the driving issues and they didn't really think it was their problem. At one point I made the comment that we really treasured our mini-van: "With little kids I can't imagine living without our mini-van." The guy from Grand Buick said "I had kids - and we did just fine without a mini-van." Ok - so I guess I'm an idiot now. The people there - while efficient - were ornery. I don't think they really gave a crap about my vehicle problems - all they cared about was getting their check from the insurance company.

The vehicle's mileage was inaccurately reported on an auto verification report, showing a discrepancy that made it appear as though the odometer had been rolled back. This discrepancy was entered by a dealership prior to my ownership, yet it has caused me significant problems, preventing me from selling the car. Potential buyers assume the odometer was tampered with, even though this error occurred before the vehicle was ever sold to anyone. In my opinion, the selling dealership should have taken responsibility for correcting this issue, but despite countless attempts to seek assistance--including speaking with new car sales managers, finance managers, and dealership sales managers--my requests were ignored, and the issue remains unresolved. To make matters worse, the vehicle was not properly prepped or detailed upon delivery. It still had plastic protective stickers on the sill plates, floors, and other areas. During the purchase process, the dealership presented a window sticker listing features that were very important to us, including a "tech package" with lane change assist, adaptive cruise control, and automatic rain-sensing wipers. However, during the closing process, they pulled the incorrect window sticker three separate times. After noticing the discrepancies, we insisted that the sticker being used be verified against the physical VIN on the car. By this time, they assured us that the features remained the same as originally agreed upon. Unfortunately, three days after taking delivery of the vehicle, we discovered that it did not include the tech package or the key features we had prioritized in our purchase. While the dealership eventually took accountability for their mistake, they refused to undo the deal, leaving us stuck with a vehicle that did not meet our expectations or match what was originally promised. The manager brushed off our concerns and offered an oil change and 12 gallons of fuel as compensation--neither of which we were able to redeem. This dealership used to provide exceptional service, especially under the care of a former employee named Mason. Since his departure, however, the quality of service has declined significantly. Betten Baker appears committed to service only until the paperwork is signed--after that, accountability and customer care are nonexistent. Yesterday, I was able to rectify the AutoCheck history. This took countless hours of my time with absolutely no support from Betten Baker. FYI, VP's and Managers will not return calls if you need help outside something that benefits them. ​

So they replaced that then they charged me $1,100 after they told me it was only going to be 750. And then when I confronted them about the huge difference in price the owner threatened me threatened to keep my vehicle and overcharge me for storage fees for every single day if I didn't just pay and leave . So I had my vehicle brought to a real mechanic and sure enough these assholes put the wrong serpentine belt on and put it on there so tight that it had to be totally disassembled to get it off . And so then putting that wrong serpentine belt on would have caused so many future problems for my vehicle . This was the second time they've done this to me . So the first time I brought it in for the same issue . So anyways they replace the fuel pump I pay that time it was $1,200 I don't have the receipt anymore otherwise I'd post that too but this has been about a year now . And I just didn't think about leaving any kind of review because I was pretty upset . You know so anyways I gave them $1,200 I leave I get two blocks away in my power steering doesn't work anymore so I turn right around go right back and dude comes out trying to act like he's looking for what the problem is then he offers to put it back on the lift to show me something and then gives me this line where he says oh I could just shed a tear for you too talking to me and my boyfriend . Once this place is original owners passed away the place went down the hill fast I will never bring my vehicle here ever again the only time I ever did in the beginning was for the $13 oil changes . The last time I had that car there, someone "inspected" it while on the lift. I was told there was a broken spring that needed to be replaced ASAP and that the strut could fail with the next pothole. I was verbally quoted $1200 plus for the front stuts. I took to a different place and for less than $800 I was given the old struts back to find nothing broken. However, I would have liked a better explanation as to what was done or what damage was done, or just a "checked out fine". But when asked what they found, all I was told is that they did a front end alignment. Maybe I'm too old school. But I would recommend Ed and Dave's and will use them for my auto repairs; just ask more questions next time.

SMH The topper is that my car came back BONE DRY with NO oil in it. Positive car was fully topped off as I had just stopped in for a fluid check at valvoline. Maybe someone came at night... stole the tools, and drained my car bone dry of oil, OR something nefarious has transpired.
