First, arriving at the dealership we encountered a salesman who had absolutely no idea what he was talking about. So bad he told us to "google" for basic information he should know about. After that encounter my husband and I decided to leave. But, before leaving, we saw one more vehicle we were interested in and got put with another salesman who happened to be great. This was hands down the best car-buying experience I've had in all my years. I've purchased vehicles from Mercedes, BMW, Acura, Jeep -- you name it -- and none of them came close to the level of professionalism, honesty, and hospitality I received at Koons GMC in Vienna, VA. The deal they offered was so incredible that I traveled all the way from New Jersey by Amtrak to Virginia. I'll admit, I was skeptical at first because many dealerships pull bait-and-switch tactics. But not here. Saleam (Sales), Sait (Sales Manager), and Isabella (Finance) all confirmed the deal ahead of time and honored exactly what was promised. When I arrived just after opening at 9 AM, Sales was still in a meeting, but I was greeted respectfully right at the door. Saleam was paged, and the process began immediately. My son's car has been in their repair shop for 3 weeks now and it's not even close to being ready and fixed. We have been struggling to juggle cars so we can all get to work. They don't have a loaner car program anymore. A $150 part is costing over $900 in labor. Another Chevrolet Dealership had a part, but they won't sell it to them. And this part that we're waiting on - it's due to their inability to replace parts correctly, as they damaged the part we're waiting on - they've graciously "waived" labor on this component. It's a mess and I feel like they're taking my son for a ride. While I know there can be supply chain issues, this is getting ridiculous and not having a car for myself and my son to get to work is hampering my ability to take assignments and earn extra income. read more

I took my Yukon in at 38,000 miles to have the front brakes checked. Koons GMC said the fronts were "completely worn" and pushed replacing pads and rotors all around. I trusted them. A few days later we left for a long planned family vacation. Thirty miles from home the "new" brakes literally caught fire. Smoke, flames, kids scared, trip over. We had the truck towed back to Koons. They refused to cover the tow. They refused a rental. They shrugged while we canceled our vacation. When I returned after their so called fix, they claimed it was nothing they did. Still no responsibility, no rental, no tow reimbursement, no real explanation. The attitude of their service director was dismissive and arrogant. I was furious. These guys acted like total dicks from start to finish. Bottom line: unsafe work, terrible service, zero ownership. Soon as I arrived they put us with another sales person (bc they sold the vehicle I was coming for). I had to tell him what I was there to look at. He pulled up a completely different vehicle. When we informed him it wasn't the correct one he had to find out what happened to the one I wanted. Guess what. They sold it. But no one could have let me know. For the record this is my first review I have ever left. Does that tell you something? Well it should. My car buying experience at KTCGMC was spectacular. My initial contact with this dealership began with Mr. Taiseer Aadam. In the past I experienced shall we say less than stellar service to be gracious. Mr. Aadam was professional, cordial and little did I know at the time, he became the catalyst for the most amazing car buying experience in my lifetime. He is an unsung hero of my buying experience and for that I will be eternally grateful to him. The torch was then passed on to the incomparable Finance team of Gabby Arévalo and Daniel Khan. Between the two of them, I almost took my shoes off as they made me feel right at home with their adept guidance that allowed me to make the best financial decision in quite some time as I have bought several cars in the past. Never have I been treated with such TLC as I experienced between the two of them. If this is not the last car I will ever buy I can truly say, with as much conviction as I can muster, I can not foresee a better car buying experience I will ever have again and those three individuals made it all happen. Good luck trying to get someone on the phone to help you. It is even difficult to get a salesman on the phone. IF you make an appointment to see a specific car, you will probably have to wit around 15 to 20 minutes for the staff to find it. Then, expect it NOT to be "show ready." The vehicle I looked at had failed the VA state inspection and had a broken mirror. Don't expect your salesman to find any way to compensate you for your time or give you consideration for a deal. As a long-term G.M. buyer, I found my visit to be disappointing in the extreme. read more

I purchased a 2024 Toyota Camry from this location. They sold the car with tires that had cut up sidewalls from the previous owner hitting curbs. I didn't realize this until I got the vehicle home. When I contacted them they just said that doesn't affect the integrity of the tire so they weren't willing to replace the two tires that this affected. That's fine but this is not a good place to work with to buy a used vehicle. One of the tires also had a slow leak and they would not replace that either. They have plenty of tires there at their location I'm sure so that wouldn't have cost them hardly anything so I hope they are happy with this review of them. The salesperson I worked with was very nice and I spoke with a finance person and he was pretty rude. I was asking questions about the vehicle and he just kept repeating that once you drive it off the lot at yours. I was concerned that if something happened within a day or so of having the vehicle such as something small not working that should be working, will they take care of it? Again the finance guy just kept saying once you take it off the lot, its yours so no we won't. Once the finance guy left the area, the salesperson politely explained to me that it still had a bumper to bumper warranty and I shouldn't worry about it. Again, unless you want a new vehicle I definitely would not deal with this place for any type of used vehicle. Not sure how they treat new vehicle owners after the fact but they definitely don't appreciate used vehicle owners. I can tell you though the sales person was very nice and did what he could to help me out. It's just his hands are tied I guess with certain things. He actually fixed a chip in my windshield that I found when I got home out of his own pocket. read more

On Tuesday, May 13, 2025, I visited Koons Vienna due to a concerning noise I noticed while driving my recently purchased vehicle--a 2012 Ford Fusion, which I bought less than a month ago. Upon my arrival, Mr. Abdel kindly informed me that Mr. Ruben Perez would be assisting me. Before speaking with him, I asked for a moment to use the restroom. As I was returning, I overheard Mr. Perez speaking loudly about my situation. He remarked, "What can she expect from a car that only cost $9,500?" I found this comment extremely inappropriate and disrespectful. It made me wonder: does your company only value the concerns of customers who purchase more expensive vehicles? When Mr. Perez approached me, I calmly expressed my discomfort with his comment. However, instead of listening, he continuously spoke over me and did not allow me to explain myself. I asked him respectfully to let me speak, but he persisted in interrupting. At one point, I asked where he was from--not with ill intent, as I am also Latino--but he took offense and walked away, continuing to speak over me until he was out of sight. I was left standing there, feeling disrespected and dismissed. As a senior citizen and a woman, I believe I deserve to be treated with dignity and courtesy--especially as a first-time customer. Mr. Perez's behavior was disappointing and unprofessional. It gave me the impression that my business was not valued simply because of the car's price. Fortunately, I then received assistance from Mr. Mike Elgaen and Mr. Abdel, who were both extremely courteous and professional. They helped me through the process and introduced me to Leo, the mechanic, who was also very kind and helpful. Thanks to them, the situation was resolved respectfully. However, I feel it is important to bring this matter to your attention. No customer--regardless of what they paid--should be spoken about in a dismissive tone or made to feel unimportant. Moreover, discussing a customer's case in a loud voice in a public space is unprofessional and unacceptable. I sincerely hope you will address this internally so that future customers are treated with the respect and professionalism that your company is known for. read more

Was able to get a deal done with Abdel yesterday for a brand new 25 RS equinox. Since I had to travel over 100 miles to get to Koons he was able to help me figure out mostly everything before we arrived at the dealership! Was a very busy day so it took a little bit to get things finished up but I have no complaints abdel did a great job with working with me. He had contacted me from an email request about a vehicle they had, (I bought) If you've seen the lot it can be hard to find what you're looking for. Another salesperson had test driven it and was not put back yet. So, after finding it we proceeded to work on a deal after our test drive. Went very smoothly and after a little work with the used car manager we got to a satisfied price for both of us on my trade. 3/25 Update I would lower my rating if possible at this point. As of 3/25 Koons has not once tried to reach me as they claimed they would below. It has been more than a month after they said they would look into it and reach out. Clearly the behavior of the staff is a reflection of the leadership at Koons. In that time Chevy has emailed me claiming my car was delivered. I have not received my refund I asked for and Koons hasn't even bothered to tell me my car is there. At this point I am about to file a better business bureau complaint as well. On 10/26/2023 a Koons person called me to tell me my order had been built and would soon be on its way to the dealer. After not hearing anything new for some time, I called the sales person on 1/8/24 asking for an update. They did not answer and I left a message. No call back was ever received. After a couple of weeks, I used the contact us webpage and provided my order number and said I just want to cancel at this point. No call back or contact was received. 2/8/2024 I called dealership asking about status, saying I wanted to cancel and was disappointed that I haven't received any call backs. After a call back, Koons said that I have to call GM, even though GM lists them as who I call, and that they never received my order. Of course hard to believe they never received my order, given Koons called me out of the blue on 10/26 to update me on status of my order. From what I can tell, Koons is just making me jump through hoops to get my refund back in hopes I give up I suppose. If you are looking to buy a car, I would be leery of using this place. I know I will not buy a car from here ever again. I hope my small deposit was worth this to Koons. Koons you know how to make this right. I purchased a new GMC truck from the dealership and I've had several issues with the finance department. The first issue was obtaining the license plates/registration that I had paid the dealer ($899 document fee) to transfer from my old vehicle to the newly purchased vehicle. This process took several phone calls and unanswered emails, and led me to driving a car with expired registration. I finally received my registration a month later after sending emails to management. I later traded my GMC and emailed the finance department 3 times now requesting a refund for the $950 tire and wheel warranty that I purchased when I bought the vehicle new. At first, I didn't receive any replies and then received a request for proof of trade (which I provided). I then received an email request for a payoff letter from GM - the vehicle was paid off when it was traded in, almost a month ago. Called to set up an appointment for my Buick that has a current recall for an electrical issue. Told me if I bring it in there would be a 190 dollar diagnosis fee. I repeated to him that on open recalls there are no charges applied. Especially, due to a safety concern that is no fault of mine. Requested to speak with a manager. Leo stated that there wasn't one available. I requested for Leo to have Bill the manager call me. Provided my name and number. Still have not received a call back from Bill. Contacted GMC customer service to file a complaint. The agent stated that this not policy but Koons is an independent dealer and they don't always follow the proper guidelines. A saga- I took my 2017 Terrain back to Koons for the free GM 3 year maintenance. They NEVER changed the oil filter (verified by another GM dealer), used the wrong weight oil and left my new car dripping oil in the driveway. Just before my GM warranty expired I had a 'Clunk' in the rear end... Took it to Koons 4 times before they 'Fixed it'... OM Gosh.... The rear coil spring had slipped off it's rubber shock mount and was causing the noise. They 'Greased' the bottom of the spring (worked just long enough to go out of warranty...). Greasing out of alignment springs and rotten isolators with GREASE? Are they out of their minds??????? Finally I said enough.. Warranty's out and now I can repair it properly. A simple fix.. I changed the rear spring isolators that Koon's greased (which were rotting on one sider) and problem solved. I wonder how much they shafted the bill to GM but they made a killing doing NOTHING! I'd never buy a car from these people! One star is too much! Hey Koon's- DON'T BOTHER WRITING ONE OF YOUR 'Were sorry' blah blah blah...replies. They're as fake as your service dept. NOTE! I will NEVER purchase a car here again, ABSOLUTELY NOT trust their service department & will never recommend this place to anyone. Stay away from this place for your own safety, it's one thing to be irritated with their pricing, etc. but when it comes to your safety especially driving around with your children - I am mind blown at 1. How they cannot fix things correctly even after trying TWICE & 2. How they now won't do anything else to fix the issues they have created. I purchased a 2019 Chevy Traverse in March of 2023 from Koons of Tysons Chevy Buick GMC (traded in my Toyota RAV4, with our third kid on the way it was time for more space). Less than 2 months after purchasing this car, one day my sister pointed out how bad my tires looked! I said there's no way, I just bought the car less than 2 months ago & the tires looked fine? (Can't believe that I didn't notice myself yet but... busy with 3 kids and I hadn't thought to look at my tires) I looked at them & the front two were totally fine, the 2 rear tires were COMPLETELY BALD ON JUST THE OUTER EDGES!!! Completely! My Dad looked at my tires & said you should not be driving this if you hit even the smallest thing on the road your tires are going to blow out! Driving around with my 3 kids & hearing this of course scared me, I called Koons the very next morning & they told me I could bring my car in & they will take a look at it. Jimmy Jones in the service center explained something with the alignment was definitely not done correctly & they were going to fix this & get me 2 new rear tires. He said they would need to order them so it would be a few days but they would give me a car to drive home in because "there is no way he can let me drive this home" - they looked terrible!! Fast forward to November 2023, my 9 year old & I were driving home in the rain on a 4 lane highway, my car swerves over inches from ditch & then back over to the other side (my boyfriend asked if I maybe over corrected it? I explained to him I literally didn't do anything it, it felt like I had no control of it). Of course this freaked me out so I'm crying, asking my daughter if she's okay. Even after this we are still on the highway going only 40mph & my car feels like I can't control it if it hits the tiniest bit of water. I called my Dad when we got home & told him what happened & he said to make sure I'm going slow, etc. I told him I swear the car does not handle well, I feel like I can't control it in the rain if you hit the smallest bit of water. I've had multiple cars & even driving other people's cars I've never had it feel like that. My Dad was checking out my brakes last night & took a look at my tires & sure enough SAME EXACT THING! The two rear tires are wearing on the outer edges again. The front tires are fine & wearing normal, back ones are wearing unevenly & wearing on the outer edges. My Dad said something is wrong with their machine at Koons your alignment is not right. I got another opinion from a mechanic as well & he said the same thing alignment! I called Koons this morning when they opened & spoke with Jimmy Jones again in the service department & explained how I was there before & they put the 2 rear tires on & did the alignment yet the same exact thing is happening again. He told me there's nothing they can do they only cover for the "first 3 months or 1,000 miles" - nothing you can do? This should have never happened in the first place right after buying this car, but then I come back get it "fixed" & here it is happening again? Not sure what is wrong with their wheel alignment but this is extremely dangerous!! I am mind blown that they are selling cars like this & performing this type of service here. I buy my first used car and not even my first payment in I have 3 major issues abs system, engine misfire, motion lights , the car is unable to go above 40 miles, I get it fixed and boom batterys dead the next couple weeks and I have to come out of pocket since the dealer doesn't want to work on my car anymore I've been told go to car brands dealership. I would have been less impacted by just being told to leave instead of having me sit there playing on my phone while my sales adviser walked around talking to other people. It is okay though, because while I sat there with Rick, other salespeople would come and chat in the middle of our rapport. Where are my manner's? I should have given up my seat and offered them something to warm their throat. My mistake. While I sat there contemplating life and it's intricacies, I overheard the person in the cubical across from where I sat cussing up a storm on the phone. The most colorful language and on the phone ~ one can hope with a friend and not a customer but I cannot confirm. Came to sell a car and one app said $14,xxx (cannot remember because he never handed me his card or paperwork) and another $18,500 and the sales person clearly stated, the lower one is right. Naturally. While I was there, another customer was waiting for his quote and asked for a copy and got it. When I asked for a copy of the $18,500 quote, he said no even though he handed the previous guy his quote. Later the manager refused to give me a quote because his name is on it. His name is also on Koon's webpage, so it's not exactly confidential. So ultimately horrible experience, I worked with Rick and Atef. Your time is valuable, go somewhere else. If I could give 0 stars I would. Truck was in rough shape when I drove 2.5hrs. Ended up buying it, then have had issues since. Hamza with finance never returned and calls or emails for the last 3 weeks. My payment was noted for 45 days during negotiation, got hit with 30 days. No solution for my issue. Registration expired, no call or anything to reissue a new one for temporary tags. If I didn't call I would've been out of luck and out of a vehicle. Contacted dealer, left voicemails, and text messages with Eyuel.. Nothing!! Zero help! Got transferred to 4 different people to tell me they don't know what's going on. Received paperwork in the mail to fill out tags and registration information, nobody contacted me to go over why it was sent. Hamza rushed the paperwork and never had me sign this (4 documents), over a month later I am receiving it. Had to speak with tags and they told me they are unsure why it was sent with no explanation. Pathetic. They get you in and out, but don't assist with anything when things go wrong. Left voicemail with used car manager Felipe, no call back. Very unprofessional. So we looked at a vehicle which had bald tires, you could see the head of The penny. They did not want to put new tires on so we offered them 30k otd and they counter with 30,010. Early this year I ordered a new Chevrolet Suburban. When it arrived it was not optioned correctly. They claimed it was the manufacturer that delivered the wrong product. They offered me a $1,000 discount since it wasn't what I had ordered. I opted not to go that route only to find they offered it for sale with a $2,000 discount. I asked if I could place another order for the correct vehicle and they claimed they were only taking orders for 2024 models. Turned out that wasn't accurate, other dealerships were taking orders. Frustrated, I ordered a GMC Yukon from a dealership 30 miles away. Sadly, after 3 weeks it apparently has a problem with the software on the infotainment system. I called the Koons service department but they didn't care to service the vehicle - 3 weeks old, fully under warranty. Clearly, my efforts to spend money at that dealership are unwanted. I purchased a 2018 Genesis from them. I inspected the car and all looked well. The sunroof had issue and they fixed it before I purchased it. Picked the car up from the dealer, drove away, and I had a front right tire blow less than 6 minutes from the dealer. No problem, things happen. I took the car to the tire shop and noticed that I needed 3 new tires. The other two left tires had gouges in the side walls. I am no professional driver however, that is a lot of damage to do to tires, especially 3 in less than 6 minutes of driving. I called them to let them know and basically got the it's your problem now attitude. I replaced all 4 tires. I guess I should have inspected the car again before I left. Lesson learned. I will not be doing business with them again. read more

Took almost three weeks and my car came back with a new crack in the windshield and only some of the body work finished. Not worth the money or time! Took my car into a windshield repair shop and they said someone already tried to patch it so they can't help. Koons will break your car and try to take advantage of you! read more

Service department is not trustworthy. They wasn't always like this but within the last year they have gotten worst. Causing more damage to the vehicle for your to pay out of pocket. read more
