I was able to book a 60-minute massage ($95 not including tax or tip) for the next day on their website. She used firm pressure and worked on the knots on my back, some of which were stubborn. One knot was especially obdurate. She kept kneading it, so much so that I began to feel bad and wanted to tell her, That knot is not going anywhere; the knot and I have reached detente. But she managed to smooth it away! At the end of the massage, she placed a hot rolled towel under my neck and wrapped my feet briefly in hot towels, too. Very relaxing. The atmosphere of 'Alohilani is very calm and soothing (at least whenI visited, on an early June weekend) and the business is located on the second floor of an office park. I highly recommend going here instead of the high-priced spas in the resorts.
