This is a very interesting place with a beautiful patio and a cool vibe. I reviewed this place many years ago. However, their service since on multiple occasions has been indifferent and lacking when I've been in. Today we went and stood at the counter for quite some time while two young staff members worked to make drinks for a call in as no one was there. We were not acknowledged at all. There were only two other customers in the whole place and they were sitting in the back. It's not the first time that I received indifferent service. We left and walked to Seasons Coffee shop which is on the other side of the square. We were greeted, serviced quickly in a very busy coffee shop and checked on while there. I suggest perhaps if you want to be appreciated and get a great coffee drink, you check them out over there. read more

Coffee in the morning, wine in the evening. Had a muffin and coffee. A refill was free. The coffee was good. I was visiting from out of town and noticed a lot of locals. I'll stretch this to five stars for the home town discount. Went here for lunch with a sibling last week. The place offers an eclectic menu with tastes for all palettes. We split three small plates--crudités, charcuterie board and the ahi tuna. The charcuterie and crudités were fairly straight forward but they do have a homemade veggie dip that was fantastic. They have a great drink and beer list if that's your thing. They feature local brews. We split the Thai chicken flatbread for entree. The peanut sauce on the flatbread was very good. One improvement would be to wait until it is out of the over to drizzle the peanut sauce. Pre-oven lead it to being the consistency of natural PB. Still very good though! What a great dining experience we found in Bryan, OH. We sat outside on the patio and we were very pleased with our waitress and the speed of service. The beer was cold and there were lots of flavors from many of the local breweries for everyone to enjoy. But honestly I think the food was the best part. The pretzel bites were soft and buttery, and the beer cheese was baked and different than most you are served everywhere else. The flatbreads (pizzas) were delicious and there's plenty to share. My wife absolutely loved her chicken salad croissant. We will definitely be coming back to Kora Brewhouse! read more

I stopped in about 9am the other morning. My friend suggested their Fountain City Mocha I think it's called. It's white chocolate and caramel. I got it blended with regular chocolate instead of white and it was really good. I would definitely get it again. About $6 for a large. This would have been 5 stars, but they didn't have any breakfast items out like they're known for having. I was told they have breakfast flatbreads, but the guy working said he's never opened before so he didn't know how to make anything. He said the kitchen would open at 10 if I wanted to come back. I'm disappointed their shelves where danishes sat were empty and didn't even have bagels. I think they need another person working as well, because a line started forming and the wait was a little long for just a blended coffee. In my opinion. I'll go back again tho. read more

Rude barista, Was told they were out of something already ordered and paid for, and barista was difficult and snotty about making a substitution. Let iced drink sit and melt while waiting 10 minutes for substituted item. She then hid in the kitchen. Kitchen help brought food out, dropped it on the counter, and refused to get drink from behind the bar that went with the order. All around incompetence. In town on business. Tried this place. Good beer selection. All local or Ohio breweries. They have a great wine selection as well. Limited food menu but the flatbreads looked great. I want to see local businesses thrive, especially a place with such a unique and hip vibe like Kora. Unfortunately, I have been to Kora maybe 5 times for a sit-down, food-and-drink experience and it has always been bad. The food is fine, but the service is usually horrendous and the beer is always room temperature. Tonight (a Monday, not busy at all) we had an excellent server for about 10 minutes who got us our drinks but then closed us out for shift change, and the young woman who took over for her never once came by and asked us if we wanted another drink or food, which we would've ordered if asked. We sat and talked for over and hour with our empty glasses at the edge of our table and this server passed us a dozen times but never stopped, never even made eye contact as if to see if we wanted something. This is exactly what I've come to expect at Kora. I have also stopped at Kora for coffee several times and the wait is always exceptionally long, even when it's not busy. It's also quite expensive. I recently visited the new Kora mini location inside Bryan Hospital and it was a much better experience. The barista did an excellent job with my coffee and she was very friendly! I wish Kora well and hope they take a serious look at ways to improve. After tonight's visit, it will take some convincing to get me back there!! read more

The food is good.. service not so much. our waitress was rude and short with us. When my husband asked for a receipt she became rude and told me she doesn't know how I put up with him. We still tipped her 25% and she was rude even then! I will be finding other places to eat. read more

Took the family out to Kora on a Friday night. I wasn't sure how the girls would do there but we were pleased to find a toy shelf in the back room with plenty of things to keep them busy! This is a beautiful place and I can see much attention was paid to designing and decorating. The back patio is an awesome touch and was nice to sit back there on a cooler summer night with the fire tables. The food was great and quite reasonably priced- Gluten-free(!!) flatbreads! I had a tasty porter with a hint of coffee (it was an initial but I can't remember it now). A musician was playing up front and it provided a great ambiance for the evening. Very nice addition to Bryan downtown. We need more of this. Food on two occasions was good. First visit I had the Philly Steak and Cheese. Hot and very good. Second visit had the Italian and it was good, but had it been hot, it would have been much better. Had it for dinner and a cold sandwich is for lunch, not dinner. We have always gone in the evening and have had 5 star service but today tried it during the day and service was awful! Coffee was luke warm and dine in I thought you would get refills but apparently not. Flatbread was great but wouldnt know how cheesecake was because we never got it. She never came back to table! I've been going here weekly for about a year and a half to study during the college year. The food, coffee, and cleanliness has never been an issue. Although the food is a bit pricey, I've never minded paying a bit more for what I receive. The reason for my 1 star review is due to the service. I have had some wonderful waitresses! But the owner is absolutely terrible every single time I go in. I have watched her greet regulars with a smile but I have been disregarded and ignored on multiple occasions. I have said hello to her and have been ignored and walked passed as if I didn't exist. Once I sat and waited for my to-go salad for 20 minutes and she went ahead and brought out a salad to a man who had just walked in because she knew him. At my last visit, I went to order my food at the barista bar so I could pay up front and she cancelled my order and told me to go sit down and wait for a waitress. I began to think it was due to being young but I have spoke to multiple people and past workers who have agreed that they have dealt with rude service from her a multitude of times. I am so confused as to how an OWNER can be so unprofessional.. Especially when I have given her my service weekly. This review is for the ambiance and not the food; although for a brew pub/cafe the menu is well executed. The owners took an 100+ year old space and have transformed it into a comfortable, cozy spot to enjoy coffee in the morning, a light lunch in the afternoon and small plates in the evening. Live music with a well thought out list of wines, craft beers, bourbons and Scotch make Koras a good place to meet friends. Plenty of games to keep the kids interested as well. read more

I would give this place 4 stars if I was only taking into consideration the food and coffee, but the management always seems like they don't really want you there.
