Kore Steakhouse in Lakewood Ranch used to be one of my absolute favorite spots and honestly one of the reasons I felt so aligned moving to Lakewood Ranch. It was my number one restaurant for a long time. I loved bringing friends and family here because every experience felt special and consistently amazing. We came for Valentine's Day, expecting that same level of quality, and unfortunately it was not up to par at all. The experience felt disappointing compared to what Kore used to be. The meat quality and overall ambiance have definitely gone downhill in my opinion. It almost feels like since the owner has shifted more focus to Kuro Sushi, there is less presence and attention at Kore. I could be wrong, but the difference was noticeable. We were honestly so sad leaving because this was a place we genuinely loved and recommended often. After so many amazing memories here, having such a poor experience was really disappointing. read more

She really made the experience amazing and we highly recommend requesting her! The child wanted Korean for his birthday dinner. So that is what he got. Pros: This place is beautifully set up. I kept wanting to go around and look at it all. Our server was sweet and helped with questions and decisions. Cons: There wasn't enough for my son. We chose the Butcher's Pride. The corn was only eaten by me. It was delicious so no complaints there. My son had most of the meat (chop, filet, and strip), but they were small portions. The main meal was done and we both were left hungry. We were appeased with our dessert of table s'mores, but not full. Also, the table s'mores is a bit uncomfortable because the server had to stay there to toast our marshmallows then watch us eat them before we were ready for the next one. There is street parking on the street that the restaurant is on and there are also spaces throughout the neighborhood. This restaurant does a great job accommodating my having Celiacs Disease. I usually can have most of the items that are served. When ordering it's kind of like how a hibachi is meaning they have different platters you chose from like all steak or chicken and seafood etc. We usually get the Butchers cut which I think has different cuts of steak as well as pork and I believe I add on a side of shrimp for a small fee. The Japchai is really delicious here and I highly recommend it. This restaurant is great for a date night or family night. They are never super busy so I don't think you need a reservation, but I usually just make one. This place is also not expensive. read more

Went here for a girls night with my cousin. Had a reservation on a Tuesday night at 8pm. Upon arriving a few minutes early, they offered us a table right away. The hostess Skyla was very friendly and professional. Our server Anasofia was also very kind and helpful in explaining how to use the barbecue grill and cut the meat as we had not done this before. She was also great at making recommendations and explaining the menu so we knew how to order. The drink we ordered, I think called Botanic, contained yogurt and was delicious and refreshing. There was not a single thing I did not like. I usually don't enjoy kimchi but theirs was mild and I liked it. Overall, a very positive experience. Prices are high but for good quality, for me it will be more of a special occasion place but I could see coming here often. Especially for appetizers and drinks. I can't say enough about this Restaurant we were able to go for lunch for our 28th wedding anniversary and we served by us very cordial and professional young lady named Ann. She was our chef as well. Everything we had was phenomenal. We opted for the chef's experience so we didn't cook our meal ourselves, but everything that she cooked for us was Amazingly delicious. I think my absolute favorite was the filet mignon and the Wagyu beef tartare. Oh my gosh I just love the ambience and on that particular day during that time it was fortunate for us that we were the only people there lol I hear that dinner gets pretty crowded, but we had such a great time. We came here last night for my husbands birthday and had such an amazing meal + experience. We had the privilege of having Kate as our waitress. My kids absolutely loved her and my father who's visiting from abroad said she was one of the best servers he's had in the US on his multiple trips here. Kate ensured our experience was 100% every step of the way from her knowledgeable suggestions to her pleasant and friendly demeanor she went above and beyond to make my husband's birthday special and memorable. The setting is very nice, a bit too high end for me. The bar was very cool, you can order bar food while you wait for your table. The BBQ was ok. First it's very pricey for the amount of meat, however the quality is very good. The banchan selection is very low and the kimchi wasn't great. I wish there was veggies and more sides to go with the expensive meat; to wrap or just something to nimble on other than the 4 banchan. If you want to impress someone on their first KBBQ and you have the $$... great place to go. If you are a KBBQ experienced foodie, I'd go somewhere else. For our first experience here I would say it was good, and unique. We placed our reservation via open table. Even though you are able to mark that you are celebrating something, the restaurant did not ask or acknowledge it. We picked this place because we were looking for something different to celebrate my son's graduation. As we arrived we were greeted and escorted to our booth/table. Our waiter explained mostly everything, he was certainly friendly and helpful. We did have to keep asking what each meat or food item was, I saw some tags identifying what each meat was but they were usually hidden or covered so we weren't always sure of what we were having next. Also we were sure it was normal for him to cook our meats instead of us doing the work? He didn't specify, but we figured maybe he was just being helpful since it was our first time and normally we cook it ourselves to our liking? It was three of us having dinner, so we decided to get their recommended combination "Kore experience, for four people" we figured since it was recommended for four people, we would be more than satisfied. Well, we did not feel that way. It felt as if they gave us less since they knew it was only three people, or it wasn't really enough for four as they recall in their menu or perhaps it's very small portions. Where they sat us the sun was directly shining through and it was very strong and blinding around 6pm for probably 30 minutes, and they couldn't do anything about closing the blinds which was uncomfortable, I highly suggest sitting elsewhere. We ordered a bottle of soju peach which I thought was too sweet, we also were able to tried their soju green grape (taste like kids medicine) the peach was better however very sweet still.. next time we will probably try something less sweet. At the end of dinner we had a glass of their Hennesy VS which was good, and for dessert we had their S'mores kit for 4 and their Affogato, both were great, I highly recommend trying them! Their restrooms were clean and petite. They have indoor and outdoor seating, however I assume you aren't able to grill your food in the outdoor dining areas for obvious reasons. Nice small bar area by the entrance to get a drink. Plenty of parking nearby, on the street or their parking lots nearby. Overall it was a nice decent first experience, there were a few things I would change about it for our next visit but I would definitely recommend it to try at least once. We will probably try other similar experiences before coming back again. read more

Kore Steakhouse is tucked away in the Waterside neighborhood. It's a clean, family friendly area. It's an upscale korean bbq restaurant. You can order a la cart or the combinations. We ordered the nice 2 meat u combination with a wagyu and kimchi fried rice and we were absolutely stuffed! (2 people) The short rib cut was my favorite - tender and melts in your mouth good!! I love the banchan and sides this combo came with. Remember it's not your typical korean bbq restaurant so the quality of the meat is different and there are less than your typical Korean restaurant banchans available. I also ordered the Botanic drink which was delicious as much as it was pretty! It was a soju based strawberry yogurt beverage. Highly recommend! read more

After carefully discerning our first attempt to eat Korean Food in S.W. Florida since moving 1 year ago from California. We are so happy we made Koré Steakhouse our first choice. Our Server Sophia promptly greeted us as she poured 2 glasses of water and took our drink orders. Before she left our table she briefly explained their menu package offerings, appetizers and the various other menu options. After returning with our drink orders. She offered to answer any questions in more detail about their menu without any pressure to any specific menu choices. We chose the Chicken Wrap appetizer, the Korean Seafood Pancake to share. Both were excellent. My Wife chose the Beef Bulgogi and I chose the Spicy Pork Bulgogi. Sophia quickly brought out 3 Banchan dishes with 3 types of dipping sauces. Unlimited refills allowed on the Banchan. She also turned on the center burner and oiled it for my Wife's Bulgogi Beef. Corazon's dish came with white rice and some Romanian Lettuce per my Wife's request. My dish came with a Salad with their own dressing and white rice. When the main courses came out we were ready for a refill of the Banchan. We over ordered because we arrived so hungry and I doubted we would finish it all but surprisingly we did.
