Would I fly Korean Air again? Yes, particularly for travel along the West Coast and across North America.     DO NOT USE KOREAN AIR It was my first time out of the country. I chose Korean Air, which will be a $400 mistake. Read to the end to find out what happened. 1. No wifi. They advertise wifi but it never works 2. The korean food in-flight is good but upset my stomach a lot, and I can eat almost anything. 3. I asked a flight attendant for help and she shooed me away with her hands and ignored me. I just wanted to ask about how to move the headrest. 4. It's almost impossible to look up your ticket information. I had to type my middle name into the first name field in the search bar to find my ticket and flight info. 5. $400 MISTAKE!!! The Korean Air lady I spoke to when checking in on my return date, told me I needed to get my luggage in Korea before going back to the United States. I asked her if she was sure. She said yes, for customs. She was WRONG. I only had a 1 hour layover and I stayed looking for my baggage for 30 minutes then missed my transfer flight! Instead of being home in 12 hours, I didn't get home for 24 hours. They didn't accommodate me or reimburse me, instead telling me to buy a new ticket even though it was their mistake. What makes it worse, is for the new ticket/flight, they gave me more wrong info! A Korean Air person at the check in desk in Korea told me I needed to get my luggage in my final destination (San Jose) but I needed to get it in Seattle, Washington! Good thing Delta Airlines gave me the right info or else I'd be stranded again! DO NOT GO WITH KOREAN AIRLINES!!! They do NOT know what they're doing and will give you wrong info!!!

    Korean Air should be honest with their services. Needs to value customers. Bag 1 - hand carry on size Bag 2 - check in size Korean Air lack of communication & information. But diligent of sending me messages to reserve my seat of charge with condition no guarantee the reserved seat to be my actual seat & insurance for luggages to guarantee I will have my luggages. Those emails didn't make me feel at peace of my travel. Made me think about my seat, the security of my luggages. Not a good experience. The lady who charge me the $200 didn't even hand me back my card & receipt until I asked her & I was told to claim my card 3-4 counter away from where I stand with no assistance where to go just pointing the direction.

    This Korean Air flight review is for Economy Class from Incheon (Seoul) airport back to San Francisco (SFO). We loved the friendly customer service at the counters prior to boarding, the pretty ladies and just a touch of class & care that asian airlines have compared to others! We boarded the plane at 8pm. We sat in the last row of Economy seats. They're the 2 twin seats in the back that doesnt recline much but has extra space on the window area for your backpacks, etc. Upon arriving in our seats, we found a pillow, blanket and a goodie bag waiting for us. Inside the blue goodie bag, was a pair of white foldable slippers, a full size toothbrush and a mini toothpaste. Compared to many airlines, they do care about comfort! Headphones were also passed around if you need them. About 2 hours into the flight, we were served dinner. We chose the curry chicken which was quite decent. Actually all their meals were quite decent for airplane food! The curry chicken comes with mushrooms which were in a larger container separately so you can mix in the rice. The meal also came with pickled radish, a fruit cup, a pound cake and seaweed soup. I love that they serve drinks on the side at the same time and you dont have to wait another round for your drinks. I know that Korean Airlines have a spicy hot pepper paste called "Gochujang" which I saw on the carts they were pushing around. It is more for their bibimbap which I'm sad they didn't serve on this flight but would have loved to try it! After dinner, it was lights out for the next 6 hours. This flight unfortunately had much turbulence over Japan and over the Bering Seas for awhile. I would say on and off for hours but we were all safe thank goodness! We were woken about 2 hours before we landed in San Francisco. It's breakfast time! Breakfast consisted of a choice of porridge or scrambled eggs. I went with Scrambled eggs with bacon. It also came with water, yogurt, fruit cup and a muffin. I asked for OJ on the side. It was a great breakfast and filled me up. Overall, I thought the service, the food, the care from Korean Airlines was top notch. Seats could be a little more comfortable, possibly swapping the old cloth seats with leather seats and having recline for the last row would be appreciated. Otherwise, great flight.

    The service, comfort, and good customer service were excellent. The flight attendant's uniform looked so cute. I was very happy with the airline. The moment I boarded the airplane I was welcomed with a friendly smile and greeting by the staff. They all left a good impression on me. I had a fifteen-hour flight to Thailand. The flight was as comfortable as it could get. I was given slippers, a comfy blanket, and a toothbrush to use. Everything was packaged very nicely. I liked the choices of games and movies provided by the airline. The food excelled my expectations. It just kept coming. The airline attendants kept checking on us making me feel very comfortable. It was impressive. On my flight someone got sick. We had bad turbulences. I watched the attendants quickly go into action trying to help him and checking on him constantly. That was good customer service and nice. I would definitely recommend this airline to anyone and use them again.

On June 1st, I traveled on American Airlines Flight 525 from New York (JFK) to Miami (MIA), departing at approximately 11:15 a.m. After arriving in Miami, I accidentally left my garment bag on the aircraft. This was completely my mistake and not the fault of American Airlines. I filed a lost item report but had not heard anything back, so I returned to the airport early the following morning hoping there might still be a chance to locate it. When I arrived, I met Elizabeth Alonso in Baggage Service at Miami International Airport around 6:00 a.m. and explained my situation. She listened patiently to my story and was honest in telling me that sometimes lost items are found and sometimes they are not. However, instead of simply following the standard process, she decided to go above and beyond. Elizabeth explained that occasionally items are left at the gate rather than making their way through the normal lost-and-found procedure. Although it was not part of her regular responsibilities, she personally went upstairs, through security, and checked the gate area herself. To my surprise and tremendous relief, she found my garment bag. What impressed me most was that Elizabeth didn't have to do any of this. She could have simply referred me back to the lost-and-found process and moved on. Instead, she took ownership of the situation, showed genuine care, and made an extraordinary effort to help a customer. Employees like Elizabeth Alonso are what make a company stand out. Her professionalism, compassion, initiative, and willingness to go the extra mile transformed what could have been a very stressful experience into a positive one. Please extend my sincere thanks to Elizabeth and recognize her for the outstanding service she provided. Eventually, we had no option but to return home by Uber at our own expense. Delta has since refused to reimburse our transportation costs, even though the cancellation was due to a mechanical failure, which is fully within Delta's control. Additionally, the airport staff were unprofessional and unable to provide clear assistance. For every basic question they had to make phone calls, acting only as intermediaries without authority to resolve the situation. After many hours, we were simply told that there were "no flights" available. The cancellation process itself took approximately five hours to complete, creating unnecessary stress and hardship, especially while traveling with a minor child. Delta's handling of this situation reflects a serious failure in customer care, communication, and basic passenger protection obligations. I am requesting full reimbursement of our transportation expenses and appropriate compensation for the overnight disruption caused by Delta's mechanical failure.

I canceled the ticket within that 24-hour period because I found a cheaper option elsewhere. However, I have not been refunded for the seat selection fee. Booking.com stated that it is not their responsibility and advised me to contact Turkish Airlines. When I contacted Turkish Airlines, I was informed that seat selection fees are non-refundable. I find this unacceptable because I canceled the ticket within the eligible refund period and never used the flight or the selected seats. According to the U.S. Department of Transportation, if an airline requires payment at the time of reservation, it must allow consumers to cancel the reservation within 24 hours and receive a full refund. This policy is mandatory in the United States. Furthermore, the Department of Transportation states that consumers are entitled to refunds for fees related to ancillary services when the associated flight is canceled or refunded. Ancillary services include optional services such as advance seat selection, baggage fees, Wi-Fi access, meals, and seat upgrades. The seat selection was purchased as part of a reservation that was canceled within the required 24-hour period.

I was informed by Bella Stine that the only way to use the airline credit is to buy 2 new tickets, Turkish Airlines would refund me the original airline credit plus one half of the new tickets as I will be using one for me to travel. They issued me a refund " Refund Amount: $2820.83 USD Including base fare and taxes. Refund Method: Visa Card ******2267 Expected Refund Duration: 01-3 Billing Cycle(60-90 Business days) Expected Refund Date: Between 01st Feb of 2026 to 27th of Feb 2026 Refund Enquiry Number: TK-O65894865569." I never charged anything to that credit card and of course could not be processed. I found the credit card that the 2 new tickets were charged and filed a dispute. Turkish Airlines refused because it did not meet their cancellation policy! Emails and calls to Bella Stine went unanswered. Be aware of doing business with Expedia and Turkish Airlines!
