His office is not too bright and not too dim. It had a calming effect to it and it did smell nice. Dr. Cheung is probably one of the best acupuncturist! He has a great personality that made me calm and at ease. I've been to some other acupuncturist where their personalities were a bit "stiff", which kind of made me uncomfortable and a bit unable to relax. (Which the whole point of getting acupuncture is to get relief while at ease!) Dr. Cheung was the complete opposite. He was approachable and knew how to put a patient at ease. If you have never had acupuncture before and is fearful of the needles, he is the one to come to. I came for relief of my neck that has been causing some stiffness which led to some nausea and headaches. Dr. Cheung took his time to evaluate me and to locate the correct spots to treat. I must say, he does have a gentle hand and is genuinely dedicated to help. The needles did not really hurt that much, it felt like a small poke. After a while, they felt soothing and you don't really feel them while relaxing. For me, I could actually feel the sense of relief in the spots that the needles were placed. Kind of like a wave of warmth over those spots. My favorite part is the little pressure point stickers that were placed in my ears. Sounds weird, but it surprisingly helped with my headaches. Overall, I would recommend coming to Dr. Cheung to get acupuncture. If you're someone who has never gotten it done before and is hesitant on it due to dear of the needles, he is the one to go to! He can have some corny jokes at times to lighten the mood and you would forget about your fears. I'll be returning to get more sessions to relieve my stresses.

Even after missing treatment for a few weeks, my mom noticed the difference that the acupuncture made. I have been receiving treatment for a fracture in my lumbar spine as well as pain caused by tumors located in my spine. In addition, I have stage four breast cancer and the treatment I received was helping with detoxing from the medication I have been taking. I can say that the acupuncture has made a difference in my life as well. Pain has subsided that I used to experience in my legs from the spine fracture. I had less adverse effects of the chemotherapy. And, overall, the treatment really helped with my recovery. In fact, I had no symptoms from the chemotherapy while receiving acupuncture.
