Dr. Staysea Sumner is truly the best doctor I've ever had. I go to her first for acupuncture and honestly, for almost any health concern that comes up. Her depth of knowledge about how the body works is incredible. With muscle testing or simply observing things like your tongue and eyes, she's often able to identify the root of an issue quickly and clearly. What I appreciate most is that treatment is usually simple and empowering. Of course, you have to be willing to do your part in the healing process, but I've walked out of appointments feeling dramatically better after targeted movements or specific pressure points she's worked on. It's remarkable. Working with Dr. Staysea has been a powerful reminder that the body is designed to heal when given the right support. This place is a joke. They are only after your money. They will charge you almost $500 for one of their services and the only result you receive is a generic report by email with your first and last name misspelled and if you want to set up a virtual or over the phone consultation to discuss the report is an additional charge. They don't even have the decency to see you in person for a follow up appointment. Very disappointed. If you want to lose time and money this is the perfect place. read more

Wowed by Dr. Staysea in so many ways. She's genuinely a beautiful person inside and out and I could tell she is there for you, she wants very badly to heal you and make you healthier. I loved how fast she just "got it" she knew right of the bat what I was going through and knew that what she could do for me at that time was limited- it was a very stiff painful frozen shoulder or tendinitis- she knew it wasn't something she could heal in this visit, but she said she was going to do an acupuncture treatment for this and she talks with so much passion and knowledge she will blow you away with how she evaluates you. She does muscle testing but she does something very different and I can't even explain what she did- I told her about my worries about my shoulder pain possibly being lung cancer at that time- I was going to get a CAT-scan of my lung right after this visit with her, but I was in excruciating pain I needed to see if she could help me minimize my horrible achy shoulder. She touched my head and did strength testing of my arm with pain and she could tell a lot of the symptoms were coming from my worries about cancer and my fear could be fueling this pain- pain comes from the mind as well... and the testing she did was like watching some sort of magic trick right in front of your very eyes. She's mesmerizing and I believe everything she said was absolutely true and believable. She looks through your soul she just really gets it!!!! I know I sound like a crazy person but her Eastern medicine, the way she understands it is and what she does with it - the connection between the body parts and the problems/ the pain and how it stems from different places of your body, even a scar on your leg may be causing some sort of issues in the nerves causing a disconnect and pain for example up in your neck or headaches or somewhere that you may think is totally unrelated. She talks through the whole time she's testing you trying to do what is best for your situation and asks lots of questions and she is so good at this!!!!!! She will treat you the best she can and my friends that have been to her walked in with for example back pain so bad they can't even walk and they have come out with no pain after one visit!!! Honestly she said what she could do for me was not going to heal me in one try but she isn't like other doctors who say you need to come get treated weekly (like most chiropractic doctors do) she does the treatment and you are done you can schedule to visit again or not she's not going to make you think you have to see her weekly to get betteryou decide what you want to do... ask her what she suggests if you want to go see her until your pain/problem is gone...I really wish my insurance would cover acupuncture, I have to pay cash. I fortunately got a good report back - no cancer and my mind is at ease now. My issue with frozen shoulder continues but I know it takes a long time to heal so I hope she can help ease the pain while I get PT and do my own stretches at home etc etc- do what I need to/can do to heal. If you have pain whether back, arthritis, sports injury, whatever it is, I would love you to see her once to at least see if she can help you in a non-invasive, no harsh meds, natural way especially if you are told you need surgery or on strong pain killer meds, at least go see her once and talk to her. At least try to have her help you before you go do something like knee or hip replacement or back surgery please. Give your body a fair chance to heal naturally before you do something drastic. She's going to give her all to help you and will honestly tell you if it's something she can try to fix or cannot. I have 100000% trust in her, she's so knowledgeable. I'm surprised she doesn't have more reviews she's truly an amazing person/doctor. Talk to her also about health in general- she has a whole healthy diet plan, nutrition/ supplement products/probiotics etc but she will never even try to push that on you it's there for those who want to ask about it. This is only a review for the front desk/scheduling and confirming insurance coverage, not the actual services. I've been having severe back pain and called 10+ places nearby to 1st - see if they accepted insurance and 2nd if they were in or out of network with my provider. I was told that while they were out of network, I would not have to pay anymore then the typical copay which is not typically how that works and when I pushed back noting my past experience with out of network providers I was assured they have never had that experience in the past and I would still only pay my co-pay. As I type this I should have realized this made no sense but I took her at her word. She said everything was covered (ie acu/cupping etc) within the sessions no extra charges. Anyways, I'm just frustrated because I feel like the person on the phone either intentionally mislead me to get me into the office to pay the out of pocket cost of $175 or didn't understand how the out of network coverage worked and either way I moved my whole day around, drove 40m round trip and overall wasted my time. I also filled out all the new paperwork before seeing they aren't covered at the end of all the paperwork I filled out. I asked if there was any exception on pricing given the miscommunication and they just said no. Just disappointed in communication, turned out to be a very big waste of my time. read more

This is where I started my journey of healing. I've tried for many years to get sober and healthy and it wasn't until I came to this place that I was able to get the proper care I needed. I started with the hyperbaric chamber to increase my oxygen because I could not eat anything at all in the beginning. The chamber healed my internal body and allowed me to eat! I just went in to try a Cryotherapy treatment for my groin/leg injury, which Im already seeing a Chiropractor and a Physical therapist for. I asked both of them if it would help me,and they both said yes, so I did. I knew it was gonna be expensive and my Insurance wouldn't cover it so I was just gonna do 1 treatment . But they gave me a good deal a $100 for 4 visits instead of paying the $65 that I was originally gonna be paying. After doing and completing the 4 treatments which I recommend !! Dr. Staysea asked me how I felt and if it helped me ? So I told her yes it did coz I havent been taking any pain medication. But before I left she did a quick evaluation on me and asked me how I hurt myself, so I did. Oh My !!! Time for me to write the most important Yelp review I've ever written! That's probably why I've put if off so long, because I didn't really know how to put it into words, but it's time! Staysea has really changed my life. I had no idea what I was walking into the first time I walked into Reveal Wellness. I decided to go there because a friend of mine swore that cupping had helped her get better from an illness that caused her chronic pain and she suggested acupuncture for my reproductive issues. I was diagnosed with PCOS at 14. My weight's gone up and down over the years, but I've been consistently unhealthy, and in pain, no matter my weight. Anxiety and depression have been a big part of my life as well. But my hormones were completely out of whack and at 30 years old, after being told my body produced very very little progesterone, I had pretty much resigned myself to the fact my husband and i wouldn't be able to have kids (we met when I was 23). I had, if I was lucky, 1-3 menstrual cycles a year (painful), and I couldn't be on artificial birth control because they all caused migraines. So I didn't expect much when I walked in to see Staysea. From the first moment I met her, she treated me like family. She started me on supplements to help me with digestion, and to compensate for the gallbladder I no longer had. Within a month I had a menstrual cycle. They were still spotty, but a year and a half later, they were on time, every month. I think one of the reasons that they were still spotty was because I continued to eat eggs despite an egg allergy. Once I got rid of them, my periods were there to stay.I saw her 1-2 times a month, sometimes 3, to get acupuncture or other modalities she believed would help. The puffiness I always had, in my face, was gone. Even my feet shrank, I no longer had to wear a wide shoe. I lost weight. I was happier. And most importantly, numbers don't lie. My blood sugar has gone down, my blood pressure's gone down, and all of my numbers are exactly where they should be. Even my body temperature has gone from the low to mid 97s, to a consistent 98.4. It's hard to put my appreciation into words. After years of having doctors throw pills at me, from birth control to Glucophage, Staysea enabled my body to heal itself. And heal it did. After January, my cycles were on time, every month, and in September, we had a surprise pregnancy! I am now 20 weeks and the baby is healthy and happy. I did not have to have fertilization treatments or take progesterone to maintain the pregnancy. I wasn't planning to get pregnant yet, but what a wonderful surprise! I am so thankful. I literally came in to see Staysea with something I thought no one could heal, and not only is she one of the kindest and most knowledgeable people I know, she has changed my life and I will be forever grateful.
