Everyone was knowledgeable and insightful while being incredibly personable and friendly. We don't live in the area, but I'd definitely come back if I had any issues in the area. A+ location! Bonus points for letting us put on Sesame Street and hang out in their very clean lounge while everything was in motion.

But to whip out of the parking lot and back in on a test drive that I did not authorize was not professional. Let along loungely driving with a hand out the window is not either. Took my car home and there is a large jagged gash on my sidewall of my tire. Spoke to the manager and owner who dismissed me. They offered to review footage of cameras but then refused when my husband wanted to watch the footage with them. They lie to make you quiet, they damage your property, and they do not take accountability. So an $88 visit now turned into a $1,000 tire change since my car is AWD. To top it off, they called the cops to remove my husband from the property but wouldn't just watch the footage. If that doesn't say guilty - I do not know what does! Not to mention Sue, and the manager Chris , and owner Stu are just downright disrespectful and condescending. Never again. Cops even said do not bring your car here.

They're currently holding my car hostage because I agreed to the price Dales staff offered, twice…read more You heard that right. The price THEY came up with last year was still good on this day, so I agreed to add it in to the job. Got it Dale??? Two different staff quoted the same price a year apart. Now they're mad they waited too long to change it. I literally brought it in to have the battery terminals fixed or changed. When the hood was up, the guy with me commented "he wouldn't let his mom drive with a leaky gasket." I told him nobody wanted to do it last year, so he seemed eager to get it done. They can't get this through their heads. I wasn't there for the gasket. By Thursday afternoon they hadn't touched the battery terminals, so I decided to make them stick to their price & not come pick it up with nothing done. Laws are on my side. I made an appointment before bringing the car in and they did zero work in 10 days! ***updated date DMV LAWS say this specifically is a violation. "Too much time went by." He called later on the same Wednesday, to get my cell number and said it would be ready Friday. At that time he did not say a word about the price of the job. Thursday we went to the beach with my cell phone and I heard from NOBODY. Late Thursday afternoon when we returned from the beach there was a message on my landline? Dale said it would be ready "next Wednesday." Next Wednesday is now 2 Wednesday's from his initial deadline according to rude staff when I called this past Wednesday. Dale is on vacation for 2 weeks so his staff are ripe with whining about how hard this job is, with a derogatory tone. They're blaming the customer which is odd because Dale called his staff "STUPID," to me like that's a valid excuse to dodge the circumstances they created. I don't recognize this person from the last 25 years as a customer. This job does not take 15 days! I'll never come back. New owners have a new agenda. Benny called and now he's "not sending the cylinders out?" Cutting corners after admitting they violated rules of the company but also DMV and Consumer protection. Lying about work being done when nothings been done. Holding the car and moving me to the back of the line to what, force me to hand over a ridiculous price. $3,500.00 is tops for the year of my low mileage Subaru forester 2003. I am so upset with the odd reaction from this new owner. They want to cut corners instead of making this mess go away. I called this morning and Benny is off after being on vacation. I spoke to Joe who was very receptive and wrote down "she WANTS the CYLINDER HEADS sent out." He agreed that needs to happen as well as timing belt and water pump. Joe was professional and understood this job. I believe they only want to be a tire place. Their Google reviews suck because others are having similar lies fed to them. KARMA knows everyone's address.

You gave the option of waiting with your vehicle or dropping it off and coming back later, depending on your schedule. I like being able to make their availability work with my schedule. During the pandemic they have the same staffing challenges as many other businesses, but they were able to fit me in around my schedule and I really appreciated it!

When I left the vehicle, the touchscreen on the console was fully functional and had no cracks or damage. When I returned on July 12 to pick up my car, I immediately noticed that the touchscreen had been physically cracked. The damage was discovered while the vehicle was still at the Firestone location, and I reported it before accepting the vehicle back. The employee I spoke with was rude and dismissive, stating that Firestone was not responsible. Even claiming that no one touched the inside of the car at any time (even to move the car inside for work...) because the worked we requested was for other components. Because my concern was not taken seriously, I left the vehicle at the store and returned on Monday to speak with the store manager. I requested that any surveillance footage be reviewed to determine what happened, but I was told there were no cameras covering the whole Firestone area. To date, Firestone has provided no explanation for how the damage occurred and has not conducted any meaningful investigation while my vehicle was in its possession and control. My experience at Vernon Firestone has made me question whether VERNON FIRESTONE is worthy of customers' trust and whether vehicles are truly being handled with the care and respect they deserve. Protecting customers' property and addressing concerns responsibly are fundamental obligations of any service business!!!

Even my parents go here when they don't take their cars to the dealership, and my parents are hard to please. Farm Car Care is always the cheapest in town. And just because they have the lowest prices doesn't mean the quality is cheap. They've been working on my cars for over ten years and I've never had a problem. In fact the last time I went there, I thought I needed new valve stems for my tires and Mike straight up told me mine were good. He totally could have sold me a part I didn't need, but he was honest! My brother works as an auto parts delivery driver in Vernon and recommends Farm Car Care as one of the best in this area.

He comes back and says I failed because I dont have catalytic converters .... I thought this was a joke, however he was serious. At this point I am getting really pissed especially since the ODB2 passed but he failed me on the visual CAT check...? The funny part is that the same truck passed there 1 year ago .. I have a Kooks exhaust Green cats and headers i bought years ago and it wasnt a problem. He already put me in the system as compliance fail. I told him hes an idiot and went to another test station and they laughed and passed me with no problems. The shop was FarmCare in Rockville CT ....Stay away if anyone lives near by. The Subaru Dealer I went to had no issues. He also said I have fake cats and reprogrammed the ECU to pass emissions. This is either a way to force older vehicles off the street or just malicious behavior I am starting to hear more and more stories like this on the web....
