A day before my appointment, the receptionist texts me a reminder, which is helpful to those of us who are forgetful! I generally only leave a review when I feel very strongly, and I'm either very unhappy or I'm very pleased. Dr. Post was strongly recommended to me, and I adamantly recommend him for anyone looking for a dentist or family dentist. As for Dr. Post, personally, I couldn't say it better than Hans D. did in his review. Super nice, down to earth, genuine guy. At the risk of being told that I'm odd, I enjoy going to this dentist!

I don't know if it's because he has larger hands or what, but every time I get my teeth cleaned, they hurt afterwards!! He doesn't have a dental hygienist who cleans your teeth, he's a do-it-himself kind of guy...with that said, this place is soooo outdated. Making an appointment with him is as difficult as trying to get his staff to submit your dental services to insurance company correctly. (Sometimes the "forget") The past couple of years, we've had many issues with incorrect billing and it's probably because he has a high turn around rate with his staff. The blonde receptionist that quit was as rude as can be every time you engaged with her. The last time I was getting my teeth cleaned, I was getting my teeth polished and the Asian dental hygienist pictured in the yelp profile was talking shit about my mom, TO ME. Needless to say, I never returned after that. I found my entire family a new dentist and we are very happy. He lost an EXCELLENT dental hygienist, sadly I can't remember her name but she was beautiful and understanding (black hair, second picture with multi colored top on to the left of Dr. Post)

After doing some research on Yelp and beyond, we decided to give Elmbrook General Dentistry a try. I'm so glad we did! I was the first to go and had such a positive experience. My dentist and hygienist are both incredibly caring and kind. Everyone, from the folks at the front desk to the hygienists to the dentists themselves work to make this a warm and welcoming environment. Since then, my husband, son, and both my parents have begun coming here. And, all with the same rave reports. Between us all, we've seen three different dentists and we've all been incredibly pleased with the care we've received. They also have an in house periodontist, which is helpful if the need should arise (rather than having to navigate going to an entirely different office). I've met him and he's incredibly warm and kind as well. Zero complaints with our experience here and would recommend without reservation.

I then tried another dentist (name rhymes with floss) and was extremely dissatisfied! I finally ended up at Elmbrook and have been amazed by the experience. Where as the last dentist was in a hurry to get you in and out as fast as possible, I did not in any way feel rushed at Elmbrook. Quite the contrary. Everyone that worked on my teeth were pleasant, caring and professional. My hygienist Carrie did a wonderful job getting my teeth back in proper shape after the inadequate cleanings at the past two dentist had resulted in significant tartar buildup. Dr Plecas and his assistant Rachael did an excellent job on filing two cavities and installing a crown. The amount of time spent on just color matching the crown, for a tooth in the back of my mouth, stood in stark contrast to my experience at the previous dentist. Literally everyone at Elmbrook including the receptionists strive to make your experience as pleasant as possible. I strongly recommend Elmbrook to anyone looking for a dentist. Even if you are satisfied with your current dental care, I believe that the level of service and technology at Elmbrook is worth making the change.

With Dr. Wolferstetter however it's not just "good" dental care but rather it's phenomenal. I've been coming to Dr. Wolferstetter since I was but a wee lad and at age 33 I have just a few cavities and only one of moderate size, all of which I got after moving to California where I could no longer see him every six months. Prior to moving away from Milwaukee I had no cavities. Zip, zero, zilch, and it was all thanks to the fact the doctor knows what the hell he's doing. Most people I know have a grip of cavities, all kinds of fillings with root canals and the horror stories to go along with. When I'm like, "Yea, I had one cavity that had to be filled once" the usual response I hear is "Just one? Whaaat?" And like I said that one wasn't even his fault. My bad for moving away and not keeping up with my visits but I don't trust random people to poke around in my mouth with metal instruments! Dr. Wolferstetter has been doing this forever and he knows exactly what the hell he's doing. That one cavity I had? On my last trip home to Milwaukee I came in for a visit and the doc wrapped up the filling in no time at all and I didn't feel a damn thing. After hearing so many horror stories I thought it was going to be pain through the roof for days but instead I was in and out and eating a sandwich like an hour later. That's the payoff of good dentistry, my friends. Get a dentist like this one and you know your pearly whites will be in good hands. Not much else to say really, if I still lived in Milwaukee I'd go nowhere else but here and I'd lock in those appointments every six months on the dot. It's worth it. Take care of those smiles, ladies and gentlemen. And Dr. Wolferstetter is just the man for the job.

I saw him at 10am and he…read moredecided a root canal was in order, since he already had 3 root canals to do that morning he asked if I wanted to come back in the afternoon. That was fine since I work about 4 miles from the office. When I got back to the office about 3:00pm I only had to wait about 5 minutes. This was the 1st time I've had a root canal done so I was really nervous. He explained everything very well so that helped. The other thing that I really liked was he was very thorough and made sure that I was completely at ease. I have had other dentists that just get in there and get it done rather than take the time to explain what exactly is going to happen. From what I had heard, I was expecting to be in a ton of pain. Fortunately it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. There was discomfort once the local anesthetic wore off but he had prescribed some pain meds. Which led to my 1st problem with my experience. I ended up having an allergic reaction to the meds. Fortunately it was just a rash and nothing serious. The problem comes in with the fact that I called his main office number after hours (as his website says to do) to have him call a different prescription in because of the pain. This was on a Friday morning. Unfortunately I never heard back from anyone at the office. The second problem I had was due to some pain in my mouth about a week after the initial procedure. The pain was similar to a cramp in your leg as though I had pulled a muscle. My wife called the office at 1:00pm (when they opened) and spoke to the receptionist. When my wife explained my situation, the receptionist sounded concerned and said she would call my wife back as soon as possible. Since I was leaving work about 3:15, my wife decided to call back about 3:00pm if she hadn't heard from them because she didn't want me to drive all the way home and have to drive back to the office if I needed to go in. When she called back at 3:00pm she was put on hold for over 10 minutes and finally hung up. Dr. Jenness called her back about 3:50pm. When she explained the entire situation (the call on Friday included) he said that they don't check the phones on the days they are off. Which didn't explain why someone didn't follow up with me about the rash and need for a different pain med. He did call in a muscle relaxer for the cramp like pain I was experiencing though. Overall I was really impress with Dr. Jenness & his assistant during the root canal. I would have given him a 5 star rating were it not for the lack of follow up, the 11 minutes on hold & the fact it took almost 3 hours to hear back from him regarding the cramping pain.

The hygienist addressed my concerns with sensitivity and was very helpful and informative. The dentist seemed very knowledgeable, but I felt a little overwhelmed by all of the dental work he advised I have done. I didn't feel like I could ask as many questions or clarify as much as I would have liked. I have a limited income (I went to this location after purchasing a $50 Groupon for cleaning and exam) and I walked out feeling like there was no way I could possibly afford to care for my mouth as recommended. I have gone to the dentist for cleaning and exam at least once a year my entire life and have never been told that there was so much wrong with my mouth. If I could afford it, I would get a second opinion on some of the recommended procedures.
