I usually end my reviews with how the service was but this visit warrants me starting with it. Service: Immediately upon walking in, we were instructed to sit by the bathroom and would have to be done dining in an hour to accommodate other patrons. We made reservations and this is how we were greeted walking in. We asked to be seated in another area as to be mindful of them overbooking the very small space. The owner was not happy about this request. We got there for our reservation time but our orders were not taken until twenty minutes after we were seated (about 30 minutes before they wanted us out). They proceeded to serve us frozen appetizers that weren't meant to be frozen and brought out incorrect orders. They rectified this each time but again, we were on a time crunch to be done so that the table would be available for another reservation. Food: I ordered my dessert (Fried Bananas with ice cream) as an appetizer (yes I know but it's what I do now). Spring rolls were also ordered as an actual app, Massaman Salmon, Green Curry, and Hangover Noodles with chicken. I received fried ice cream instead of my actual dessert order. My friend ended up taking it since she planned to order that later for her dessert. My meal ended up coming before my my dessert with the other table entrees. It was all just a rushed mess. Everything was underwhelming. I've had great Thai food and this was not it at all. If you need something quick and edible, you may enjoy the food. However if you enjoy authentic, well seasoned, cooked to temperature with care as Thai cuisine is usually made, you too will be disappointed. Overall, I would not dine here again. I usually give a place a second chance if my first visit is unfavorable but that will not be the case for White Jasmin Thai Cuisine. I wanted to leave as soon as we were rudely greeted but another guest with me was adamant about trying this place. Regret all around. They seemed disorganized and rushed through everything to get us out to accommodate other guest. The establishment is very intimate so the space being needed is understandable. Asking people to eat appetizers, entrees and dessert in a ten minute time frame is ridiculous. There are definitely better, cooked to temperature, and tastier local options with more welcoming and warm service. Please believe the other reviews that also state that this is not authentic Thai food nor is the food anything to rave about. It's extremely unimpressive. read more

Saturday evening on veteran's day, i made reservation for dinner.... everywhere else was fully booked since it was Veterans Day.. basically there was an hour and a half waiting everywhere but here I was lucky to make a reservation 30 minutes prior to the dinner I called exactly at 5:30 PM and asked to make appointment at 6:15 PM. There was a parking lot in the rear but, we didn't know so we parked across the road in the parking lot for the jewelry shop, which is not allowed during their business hours, but it was a Saturday evening and jewelry shop was closed.. the restaurant is located in the entrance of Main Street in Lansdale. I have been meaning to try this place since they have very good reviews, the inside was small space and the tables are placed very close to each other. I feel like I was sitting next to stranger but anyway, we ordered two appetizer shrimp in a blanket and spring roll, and pad prick king ; red spicy curry rice, and pad thai plus extra white rice. Everything came out very delicious. Two appetizers comes out with two similar but different sauce by side, they were flavorful, more sweeter side if you like sweet sauce, I asked to make entree spicy, initially pad thai tooked so white, so i was wondering if it was spicy or not, but i could taste it spiciness, curry is already described as spicy one, it has little kick to it but none of them are super spicy. I think even anyone who doesn't like spicy can eat it too ,, We added chickens for both entrée I feel there could be more chickens, they looked small in quantity but actually it was more than enough. (My partner does not eat alot fyi. And i eat alot, that could be why it was enough, or else i am not sure) After less than 30mins, the place was packed! We have now dined here at least a half dozen times, each time was equally enjoyable! We also ordered takeout once with excellent results. It can get crowded by 6 on most nights. The BYOB option is great and makes for a very reasonably priced meal. Our favorites here are the Summer rolls, any noodle dish and the pineapple fries rice. read more

My panang curry had pumpkin in it- never in my life has someone put pumpkin in my curry And there was minced pieces of chicken so tiny and barely any chicken and they charge you extra for chicken which most places will not charge extra for chicken. At least if you are going to charge me for chicken, put a decent amount . There wasn't even a modest amount in my food. So my partner has been wanting to try this place for a minute, and since it's about halfway between us, and I was craving her presence, we made a midweek date. She ordered the pumpkin curry and this was actually fantastic. The pumpkin was perfect, skin and all, and the flavors were so strong. I went with my usual drunken noodles, however here they were called hangover noodles. Well apparently hangover means not as wide I love those chewey noodles, so that was quite a disappointment. The flavor was also lacking a little. The coconut rice noodle soup (sorry forget the name) was not as strong as other coconut soups I've had at Thai places. I ordered take out. I wasn't impressed with the food. Not sure if it was an off night or not. The sauce on the wings was watery and didn't stick to the wings at all. The summer roll was wrapped in a lettuce and only had veggies in the wrap, no noodles. It wasn't horrible but it wasn't like any summer roll I ever had and I didn't enjoy it. Unfortunately, the same can't be said for those behind us, some of them were given long waits due to the amount of reservations that night. Service - Very good, very responsive and cleared the table promptly after our egg roll appetizers were finished. Server checked on us at the right intervals, along with presenting the check promptly. Food - We had egg rolls, pigs in a blanket, and Thai chicken wings for apps. The Chicken wings were the star attraction of the night - extremely flavorful along with a sweet, sticky slaw underneath. For entrees, we had Poorman Noodles, Red Curry, Pad Thai, and Bochang Curry. All 4 dishes were received happily, especially for our picky eater who hates trying new stuff. Ambience - Very quiet small restaurant style that fits the city vibe Lansdale Main Street is trying to accomplish. Really disappointed in this place. -Duck Curry had no meat, it was just duck fat and skin. Huge upcharge for this item. If I was eating in the restaurant this would have gone back to the kitchen for sure. -Papaya Salad had very little flavor, I've had this at many Thai restaurants, and this was one of the worst. - Pineapple fried rice with chicken was also disappointing. Very very little flavor. -Massaman Curry was okay, but we paid for extra shrimp, and got five medium shrimp in the entire container. -Pad Thai with shrimp was decent, but paid for shrimp, got very few. -Pad Prick King was okay, but small portion in this container. Overall this is a very average / below average restaurant. There are much better Thai restaurants in the area. It's also disappointing that the only meat options are shrimp and chicken. WONDERFUL! My team and I took a long lunch today and we couldn't be happier that we chose White Jasmin. I absolutely love Thai food, but I have never had any quite like this. We started with vegetarian (vegan!) summer rolls that were FANTASTIC. Instead of shrimp, they were made with spears of mango. SO delicious. One of my team is vegan and he had Masaman Curry with tofu, which he said was great (he stopped short of licking the plate). Another had Pad See Ewe, and she loved it. My Tom Yum (one of my favorite things IN LIFE) was unlike any I've had. Wonderfully spicy and chock full of vegetables like Brussels sprouts, celery, and juicy tomatoes. I LOVED it. The place was empty aside from me and my family, so the wait staff was very attentive and even stuck up some conversation with us about the history of the business. We had the Khao Soi noodle, green curry, and pad thai. Everything seemed to come out mild/ no spice unless requested, however spice on the table was delicious to add to your tolerance. The curry broths were so flavorful and creamy (full coconut milk according to the waitress). The pad thai was a great balance of sweet and sour from the tamarind. -my only critique is i wish there was more wok/ stir fly essence in the noodles.
